It is funny that Tiesto said that trance music will last for ever, when he abandoned this genre per complete. Still he wasnt wrong in something this genre wil never die.
💯
Those cut shots of the pigeons really show the gritty, artistic side of the cameraman :-}
Those are Martin Garrix fans

Ferry Corsten , Tiesto i hope one day this guys will back to real trance and epic like from 1998 to 2006.
+Dime Nikolovski who need tiesto when ferry has just released a track like anahera just this summer
+Michael Blackburn yes i know amazing track but i like Ferry to keep that style of music , after Anahera he produce few tracks but not like Anahera :(
Dime Nikolovski hopefully the feedback from Anahera will be enough for him to carry on releasing that type of track :) I missed him at ibiza this year :( got to see markus schulz though :D
+Dime Nikolovski
Yes, I miss the Epic Trance of that era. There is plenty of nice, energetic, melodic Trance tunes out there but the Epic/Anthemic Trance tunes were some of my faves. :)
theres is a tear in my heart for the gold trance years
Trance music has been around since 1992. Here we are in 2015 and Trance music is still going strong.
We've grown up with Trance music.
Trance continues to progress and change and even rebirth.
Trance is very much British, Irish these days but also has many producers and labels coming from Egypt, France, Greece, Denmark, Netherlands, Switzerland etc. Anyone other countries you can think of?
Gouryella made a comeback without Tiesto with the huge tune Anahera.
Trance music is here to stay. It can never die. It has its place in the club/festival/event scene.
Rick Terscale yeah, Gouryella - Anahera is epic.
Nice comment, and thanks for posting it. Music has been a big part of my life for many years, especially trance. And I hope to DJ at big trance events like Ferry and Tiesto in the future.
Feel free to check out my TH-cam channel and subscribe. 😀
+Rick Terscale yeah ~ bro ~ Trance measureless light & life forever & ever
+Rick Terscale You smoking some good crack..Trance has gone down in quality...not the same anymore
+Cubamus Prime
With Trance music you don't need any drugs. Trance music and Hardstyle are my drugs of choice. :D
Trance hasn't gone down in quality. There are some amazing tunes out there as well as artists/DJ's and labels.
2014 was a massive year in Trance music. 2015 was also good but not as great, in my opinion.
2014 brought back the older sound and there were lots of remakes/remixes of older Trance tunes.
As I mentioned in my first comment, Trance music is evolving and always has. It has never remained the same. The current sound is very uplifting and melodic but there is a lot of Progressive around too which many Trance DJ's are playing. A lot of softer tracks with lots of vocals and long drawn out piano breaks. Perhaps that is what you are hearing? Remember that the scene these days is Trance & Progressive not just Trance.
Also, a lot of Trance DJ's are now making Techno e.g. John O'Callaghan and their shows feature more Techno tunes than Trance. The older DJ's such as Ferry, Armin etc are making Progressive/House tunes these days.
If you want to hear the stronger Trance tunes listen to podcasts by Darren Porter, Christ Metcalfe, Allen & Envy, Aly & Fila, Solarstone etc etc etc. There are many more out there.
Tip: Don't rely on sites like Beatport and their Top 100 Trance tunes chart for the latest and greatest tunes as it contains a lot of Progressive and House tunes. :(
If you think the quality has gone down then check out these few amazing tunes from this year:
James Dymond - Echoes
Darren Porter - Cause & Effect
Dimension - Origami (Adam Ellis Remix)
Kinetica & Dreamy - Omnislash
C-Systems - Breathe
Andres Sanchez - Don't Leave
Chris Metcalfe - Arashi
Craig Connelly - History
Madwave - Ritual
Gouryella - Anahera
Photographer & Susana - Find A Way
Ahmed Romel - Paradisum
Mark Sherry & Clare Stagg - How Can I (Solis & Sean Truby Remix)
There are so many more, hundreds more.
The quality hasn't gone down. The Trance scene is bigger than ever. Many talented DJ's out there drawing massive crowds to their events.
It's funny how people always say "quality has gone down, it's not the same as 10 years ago" ... well reality check for you, all styles of dance music change over the years. If it didn't then people would get sick of it and stop listening to it and the DJ's would get bored making the same music over and over.
Change keeps dance music fresh and exciting. Don't get hung up on the past otherwise the present and the future will always disappoint you.
Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery. ;)
Golden. Ferry: I am the producer and he is the DJ. Told everything. :DD
"Tiesto, you know, cuz he is Djing as the biggest produc... Biggest DJ in Holland so ahn..."
DJing isn't exactly easy...
@@rohamtavakkoli7562 *Wasn't at the time, now it can be a piece of cake...
Yes till now, there are rumours saying that Tiesto doesnt produce his tracks
the camera man got his style XD
Two of my favorites... God Bless them
Love it how tiesto said trance would live forever
Didn't know Matt Damon and Ben Afleck were djs
+Vjeezay lol
Bruh that's not them well actually Matt Damon does look like him but that's not them.
Matt Damon looks like ferry corsten I mean
+Vjeezay hahahahaha
Funny, Tiësto must be Ben Affleck and Ferry Corsten must be Matt Damon xD.
that was fun to watch Ferry, time flies but trance never dies
Still listening to Gouryella - Gouryella in 2017
i wish them to be back in bussines again...this kinda of meetings & colaboration will be the great memories in trance music history....
5:34 HEARTBREAKING MOMENT
Auxin relari that was so true man....lol
Tiesto shit himself when asked what do you both do. I just watch Ferry make the magic 😂
Haha, I also noticed his reaction there.
Tiesto was djing and assisting ferry at producing
This is the most 1999 thing I've ever seen
Their tunes are still living in 2018...
AWWW they look so young!!! good times :)
'Trance will be a mixture of everything" So true when you hear the tracks that are made now & they contain influences from every other kind of electronic music. Great video.
best djs on the world , Ferry and Tiesto
legends!!!
Awesome, Ferry.
someone needs to put tiesto in a corner and show him this interview ... he'll cry
Totally agree , Bought out by money . What a shame ?
Within the clip you can Tell Tiesto is way more passionate, Melodic and Ferry has the hard edge . Both still have the touch that can turn it around !
Such a simple turn.
No. I know I'm replying to a 6 year old comment, I hope you're alive and everything is well on your end, but Gouryella is all Ferry. Tiesto was going to release this as something as his own track under Sidewinder alias which was stil produced by Ferry, but something changed before release and it became officially Gouryella.
05:39 Tiesto said trance will last forever, true but it's sad a little he abandoned it and changed his style to more mainstream house music.
I miss these days of trance sooo much =(
Ferry: "Trance will become a mixture of everything". It did
ahhh i miss this
Legends
Good interview, as Tiesto played trance and ferry corsten a great DJ producer.😅❤
really touching video
The camerawork is fucking enoying! Gotta love the 90's
Wow, so young. Ferry was Gouryella, Tiesto just promoted the concept and said: Hey that sounds cool.
heaven.
amazing !!! well trance is big now !!
5:11 - what did I just see 🤔
Tiesto had no clue back then that he would be 80 mil dollars rich in 10 years :))
Ferry says I'm the producer and he is the DJ, hah. Ferry is the man.
5:30 when tiesto said trance music will last forever is 100% legit. its 2017 and it is still true.
oh the 90s
Ferry done all the production, tiesto told him it he liked it or not!
hehe, yeah. Ferry knew trance will have something from every genre.. go Ferry! :D
Nice interview :)
6 months after this was filmed, the cameraman finally learned to use his camera. We understand, it's really difficult to hold it steady and resist zooming.
its videos like this that make me hate the year i live in
Я не плачу, это просто слезы...
1999...they were so young.
I was so young.
It was a different time.
Legends😁😇👍
haha yeah, I almost forgot you were the guy behind the system F project that's one more reason to say you are a living legend dude, oh man so much memories ...
Tiësto was a the best of the best but now it's a shame
Now it's horrible!
now it's like a sin. ...
HE's old man... he must retire :D
When Michael Bay cameraman got fired
@djsupernova56477 Me too. Why did he start filming the pigeons?
"trance is gonna be a bit of everything"
nice prediction
2021
Here
epic
When you send a camera man from Michael Bay to film a interview!
I understand tiesto said forever..Trance is forever and its influence makes a big deal to the music we listen to now at his shows and other artist.
the interviewer is gorgeous. :]
@Freakdeke88 the dark side ???
@Freakdeke88 aw right , to true , i really do miss tiesto's trance , ive been listen to trance since i was 5 ( year 2000)
I think, even though Corsten "killed", or more specifically stagnated trance into mostly supersaw anthems and arps, he never really wanted trance to be like that. It was just his personal style, and here we see him obviously interested about what hardcore could bring to trance. The fast boom of pop-ish trance around 2000 or so was what "killed" it. Style became so popular that it turned industry standard and artists started to have much less space for experimentation. As PvD said, 'cheesy shit'.
Me hubiese gustado que Gouryella volviera junto a Tiesto, habria sido un gran boom, por lo menos haria trance bajo ese alias, hubiese llamado la atencion de muchos olds que seguimos esperando su retorno :(
Ferry Corsten
Awesome I remember seeing this on TV back then!
Tiesto looks exactly the same then and today 20 years later haha
@squerlllll
yes, to me ferry corsten as benno de goeji are the 2 best producers in holland, for sure...
and track like airwave and out of the blue had broke the boundaries of holland becoming 2 of the biggest europe anthem between 1998 and 1999
Tiesto "The trance will last forever"
haha thats funny, he just said on djmag interview, trance sounds same and its boring..
So Ferry, you did the whole production process right, what was Tiesto role in Goureylla Project ?
Getting money and the best chicks
@misssunrise00 - not really i have all the time in the world to carry on this conversation.
Thanks i appreciate it.
White hot interview!
@krow449 so what does that have to do with tiesto switching to house music..
@Freakdeke88 what do you mean the darkside?
@squerlllll
at last in this interview seems like ferry the boss of the duo, tiesto was just a famous dj born with the gig, where he cries at the end, at innercity on february 1999 (he admitt was the first big gig of his carreer)
I hope people make new experiments and
fresh sounds rescue true electro, techno
and house elements of 80 and 90.
I don´t no how Brazilian events
producers influence on your sets.
I hope more people produce
diferent things to changing
actual cene and bring the back
magic of 70-80-90 of dance music.
Watching this interview, it's pretty obvious that only one of these two men ever wrote a note of Gouryella's music...
But to my knowledge FC has never said a word to this effect, which is a testament to his classiness.
@squerlllll
yes I remember, before that marco v was one of the biggest names and then tiesto becomes number 1 in holland, becoming the 24° dj in the world dj mag top 100 in 2000
but remember, ferry was the first dutch dj to go in UK for a gig, at cream, in 1999, as the first in djmag, ever in '99.
check on outlar for the flyers
@ozzieksk "I just didn't like the old trancey sounds anymore," he continues. "It just all started to sound the same to me. Already in Ibiza last year, I had started to play like that, and I saw that the people were up for everything, and it felt great. I'm still learning, experimenting with where to drop which tracks. But everyone's very supportive."
Tiesto... before he went to the darkside =*(
tsk tsk - editor could have put the audio on 2 tracks and panned one to the right ear - mono sounds lame in 2011
Ferry you need me working for your online video team
His crowded changed, his music changed..
I DIDNT KNOW THEY WERE A TEAM ??!?!
@k4ZE106 @prelyood uhh is 30 old??
Adagio for Strings
@HoonurTX : Couldnt put it better myself.. i saw Armin NYE in Melbourne and Trance music is still the best imo !!!
what are you talking about. tiesto May now make generic house music. But atleast he has established himself As more of an artist than just a dj. He gave us adagio for strings, Lethal industry, and even helped armin through most of his career. lol Tiesto is god of dance music in a sense he set the standard for a massive like i said before Tiesto in concert there was no "armin only" or touring festivals lol
Fax
@luckydeath5; Same goes for Ferry though. Not much Trance left in his music.
5:33 talking about Trance ^_^ __5:34__ Tiesto : Trance is last forever ^_^ 5:47 what you think Trance going through ???? ^_^ Ferry corsten : Trance is gonna be everything
if you take a look, easly, you can know who rules the duo and who know about music...actually tiesto is a dj, not a producer as he was at those times a dj and nothing else, but in fact he wasn't already famous so, he was just a bit famous in holland about trance because he was one of the few to play it. ferry is different
just this
Sexy girl interviewing'why nobody mentioned:-)
Now about ther stuff. It wascool to seeguys speaking of trsnce and their futur
So muh time passed, i want know - where is old Tiesto, he is fully pop producer now, where is
his tranc vision of passed time, his talent?!
Nicetoo see that Fery is continuing his way. Both are GREAT o course and will be so 4ever!
It just so happens that "EDM" is the new pop. Ever since Dubstep took over around 2010 mostly, it was the gateway to a rabbit hole. If it's going the way it is soon it will die out like every other trend.
Doc Savage Electronic Dance Music isn't the new pop. Dance music will always be a little back from pop music, a little underground. Dance music will never be mainstream, if it does then it will lose what made it special.
Electronic Dance Music isn't a trend or are you talking about Dubstep? Any style of EDM that hits top 40 chart success doesn't last forever. Never has.
Is Dubstep still even relevant? The big styles of EDM these days are Trance, Hardstyle, Progressive House/Electro House.
hahah this is so funny :-) So young ....... I bet they never new how big they would get ....
LOL @ the cameraman
hey!!! moonman
@nacionalista93 i assume he means before Tiesto went a little... alot commercial.
NIce accent guys ! :D
@squerlllll
ok, anyway, the flyers speaks clear, take a look to the site tiestoworld and check the flyer session and you'll see by yourself.
@HoonurTX : Couldnt put it bettwe myself.. i saw Armin NYE in Melbourne and Trance music is still the best imo !!!
1991 in #Rotterdam #Parkzicht I danced #Gabba I love it. #Trance I love #Tekno I love. #TomorrowLand I Love and am going to the event this year 2021. The #Muzik will last forever, because, I am the ultimate #HardCoreRaver Hahahahaha #LoveandLight xxx #Love is the reason why it keeps going, on and on and on and on, eat sleep rave repeat! xxx
Do you know who is the best on trance. Taylor Swift. She brought trance back..
@squerlllll
marco v was one of the first, tiesto don't, so normally the most famous djs are on the top, not in the middle or last.
anyway if tiesto was already the most famous in holland why he start only on 1999 to play in a rave like innercity, as he admitted during an old inteview about the event?
and whats about RANK 1? they starts early as tiesto or before, and their fame arrived here in my country, italy, as ferry with out of the blue...
tiesto don't.
nobody is forcing you to listen. hush child.
