  • Utilizing my press for more than what I've been using it for. First time using 5 screens for one job, let's see how this goes.

    as some who works as a manual printer in a wholesale pressing facility no matter how good those micro adjustment are you will always still be tapping and hitting your screens to get alignment lol. great print just found this channel.

      Mannnnnnn I'm learning that 😂😂😂

      @RnG_Ry 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      So are the micro adjustments even necessary?

    • @BryanChuckBrennan
      @BryanChuckBrennan 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@RnG_Ry I mean micro adjustment have never been technically necessary, you can line it all up by hand. a lot of old machine don't have them, but they do help a lot. but things get loose and parts shift so you can have those micros nailed but from one print to another things can get out of alignment. so you will still always be tapping your screen. my personal machine doesn't have micros so I have to do it by hand. that's also one reason I don't do super high detailed print on my personnel machine.

    What’s is that black cloth or square you’re printing on called or where to find it

    Hey, just found your channel and I’m relatively new to screen printing. For the black locking clamps on the head that rotate left and right. How do I know when I’ve locked and unlocked it? I have no way of telling when I did it right

    • @JeromeKnowsNothing
      @JeromeKnowsNothing  ปีที่แล้ว

      Are you referring to the clamps that hold the screen in place?

    • @calebsmith7579
      @calebsmith7579 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JeromeKnowsNothing yes, not the ones that are circular unscrew. The ones with the handle in the middle of the head

    Great video! Question: Before you purchased the Riley Hopkins 250 did you have any screen printing experience? I am looking into purchasing one, but have no experience whatsoever. Also, after the press is there any other step to do or is it done right then?

    • @JeromeKnowsNothing
      @JeromeKnowsNothing  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have a Magnum press I got from ebay that I started with....I don't recommend it. I would definitely buy the Riley, it's good quality.
      I'm not clear on your question regarding other steps after buying the press

    • @alexsantana7993
      @alexsantana7993 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JeromeKnowsNothing Got it. Do you think starting with this machine will be good or shall I start with a cheaper one? Like I said, I don't have experience haha. And my other question was, after you do the screen print, do you have to run the shirt through another machine for it to dry or just make the print last longer?

    • @JeromeKnowsNothing
      @JeromeKnowsNothing  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@alexsantana7993 I say buy best now so you don't have to lose money trying to learn. I ruined alot of shirts with the cheaper press because it wasn't accurate and it was very faulty.
      As far as drying....you can use a heat gun, they sell those at almost all hardware stores. It's the cheaper route, but also takes longer to cure your shirts that way. Next best inexpensive option is a flash dryer
