Scared enough to go into hiding of sorts. I for one is looking forward to more interactions with Mara.
That's not why she's planning on killing us though. The worm confirms there's more reason to her plan than she's lead on. There's a new lore entry that hints she murders us because when she saw the vision of the second collapse it was in some part our guardians fault. Or at least she thinks that's the case. If you recall, we even visit our own grave in the corridors of time. That implies Mara does in fact follow through with killing us. Mara saw a vision of the future. Destiny store and lore is so deep and complex yet simple enough to under the gist of things. If mara does this which lets face it. She will. This will NOT end well.
I still haven’t played the campgain but I don’t think savuthun is dead. She was using light, she’s a guardian. Wouldn’t see have a ghost like her Officers? Another just in case failsafe. She could be revived holding a plan to take her throne world with our help against the witness
I agree with her plan. We, Crow, and Eris would be too dangerous to be left alive if the Darkness corrupted us. Someone needs to have a silver bullet. You can’t just have 3 potential Sith running around and not have a plan to take them out.
Also, in the dark future lore book our guardian and Eris were corrupted by the darkness. Crow (as Uldren) has already been corrupted twice (by the black garden and savathun/riven). Based on what I’ve read in the collectors edition, Mara and Elsie are working together, so Elsie must’ve given Mara the information about what occurs in that timeline.
To be fair. Mara said that the Awoken Queen would provide the host not that herself would "BE" the host. The Worm just interpreted it that way. Which is what Mara wanted to do.
The way I see it, she is still an Ally even if she did have a Contingency Plan to Kill the Guardians. Have people forgotten over the decades that Batman has multiple Contingency Plans for his Allies as well? Every Leader should have backup plans if things go wrong. Why is everybody so surprised?
Alternatively, Mara's contingencies in case we turn evil. Because anyone who *doesn't* have contingencies to try and take out someone powerful in case they become evil is an idiot.
i believe it is savathun who was good, or 'selfish' is a way that benefited us. in the future, we will hear of the concept of 'weakening them from inside' almost as much as ringing, i believe. savathun doing what she believed to be the traveler's will. this campaign makes us question our existence as a guardian, 'belov'd of the traveler', is it us who do the good? are we who are the villains? are who we bind a pact of friendship with, those who we need to with? what is a lie? what is truth? it the witness really our doom? is the traveler our life? there are many a questions alike, we needn't ask, time itself will answer, we need only be patient. i Am no story writer, but I hope to one day be a dignitary of such a post at our belov'd bungie HQ
I hate to sound like an advocate for the played out stereotype of the "oh new big bad guy...pew! Pew! Pew! He's dead. Who's next?" Trope. But won't Mara ingesting the deception worm just make her the new Witch Queen/pain in our ass? I say just slaughter the effin worm. We're likely doomed in Lightfall anyway as a plot narrative.
Wait is it just me or is the hive worm like a ghost? Jesus fuck it is the opposite...light ghosts live on the outside, darkness ghosts live on the inside🤢
To be fair guys...Savathun's Song is still out there, infecting others. You might even call it...a channel. ;) And if that channel goes through her ghost, she can be rezzed whenever.
I actually thought that our guardian would be killed by something other than Mara but I don’t mind it being her since she has reasons behind it all because I think it’s to just keep everyone safe from darkness or who is tempted by it but I honestly thought it would of been something bigger or at least different than Mara
A lot of plot holes and it feels like retcon Savathun was never there. Rasputin is the only character that existed in actual story of Collapse and he was the only one who was able to contact Gardener/Traveler so she will not flee. It's a very hard topic, but all i see is a complete retcon to make things more dramatic and to create new character arcs. In short - they forgot where they started, so they changed it for a better dramatic story.
This is a whole new team. The original team for Destiny is long gone, and the ones that remain had a no shape or focus for this franchise moving forward, so this team is building the foundational work now.
In existing material till the end of time, there will always be either A retcons or B information of past events we were not told. This may seem like a retcon sure but even the Vanguard had no idea The Traveler saved Savathun. There is so much history not only we as the Player don't know but what the rest of the main cast don't know

I still haven’t played the campgain but I don’t think savuthun is dead. She was using light, she’s a guardian. Wouldn’t see have a ghost like her Officers? Another just in case failsafe. She could be revived holding a plan to take her throne world with our help against the witness
*Doing Lore video, gets naded*
Evade: OW HEY I AM RECORDING HERE!
Our throne world is Real Life, we are Mara Sov can never take us out lol
To be fair. Mara said that the Awoken Queen would provide the host not that herself would "BE" the host. The Worm just interpreted it that way. Which is what Mara wanted to do.
Mara is gonna be a disciple for the witness
The way I see it, she is still an Ally even if she did have a Contingency Plan to Kill the Guardians. Have people forgotten over the decades that Batman has multiple Contingency Plans for his Allies as well? Every Leader should have backup plans if things go wrong. Why is everybody so surprised?
Yeah, I'd be disappointed if Mara didn't have these kinds of plans in place.
@@Nidhog17 i mean every plan to kill us seems futile we are littéraly doom guy
@@kratek56 Not on my level. But good nonetheless
I thought u were doing the raid evade
I am 👀
@@EvazeOfficialhopefully u will have videos on it
Curious what the story for another time is
Mara is probably being mind controlled by the witnesses like Osiris was being controlled by savathun
I would let Mara Sov harm me
Apparently Mara has forgotten that were litteral god slayers and it would not be easy for her to kill us
The whitness not the darkness one is an entity the other is a force, the darkness isn't evil enough with that
Alternatively, Mara's contingencies in case we turn evil. Because anyone who *doesn't* have contingencies to try and take out someone powerful in case they become evil is an idiot.
Good work.
i believe it is savathun who was good, or 'selfish' is a way that benefited us.
in the future, we will hear of the concept of 'weakening them from inside' almost as much as ringing, i believe.
savathun doing what she believed to be the traveler's will.
this campaign makes us question our existence as a guardian, 'belov'd of the traveler', is it us who do the good? are we who are the villains? are who we bind a pact of friendship with, those who we need to with? what is a lie? what is truth? it the witness really our doom? is the traveler our life? there are many a questions alike, we needn't ask, time itself will answer, we need only be patient.
i Am no story writer, but I hope to one day be a dignitary of such a post at our belov'd bungie HQ
Bruh I’m so sick of hearing our ghost talk like why not just it the main character it’s literally talking in every scene
Me a godslayer with the strongest power in the universe: mmm I wanna just work for Mara man
I think it’s clear that Mara is actually afraid. And to make Mara afraid…. Bruh she just said it in the video as I was writing this 😭 (15:23)
I hate to sound like an advocate for the played out stereotype of the "oh new big bad guy...pew! Pew! Pew!
Jesus fuck it is the opposite...light ghosts live on the outside, darkness ghosts live on the inside🤢
i wouldnt blame her she watched an esoterickk video and got scared in developing a contingency plan
waiting for the raid lore breakdown.
Today!
Is that rogu voice?
To be fair guys...Savathun's Song is still out there, infecting others. You might even call it...a channel. ;) And if that channel goes through her ghost, she can be rezzed whenever.
Mara in the cutscene: 😍
Mara's in-game model: 🤢
Taken king gonna get resurrected and a,one with Savathun they are gonna make an alliance with the guardians to destroy the witness. That’s my theory
I actually thought that our guardian would be killed by something other than Mara but I don’t mind it being her since she has reasons behind it all because I think it’s to just keep everyone safe from darkness or who is tempted by it but I honestly thought it would of been something bigger or at least different than Mara
I mean if we fall to the darkness than it’s literally over for everyone else we are just that guy in the story
Guardian smash the parasite skull lol
Btw..her ghost didn't resurrect her because it wasn't her.
Ayo the worm do be kinda cute
I knew she is holding a grudge for shooting her brother. I don't think Mara knows that Petra help and shot Uldran too.
It was established both last season, and in Forsaken that Mara is very aware of Petras role in Uldrens death.
She does and petra has received punishment
Early again
Mara with “Batman” contingency plots lol of course Queen Mara Is “Batman” lol
A lot of plot holes and it feels like retcon
Savathun was never there.
@@jeffy1862 Which is why i can clearly see it without even playing it anymore. It's clear to me that it's a retcon.
In existing material till the end of time, there will always be either A retcons or B information of past events we were not told. This may seem like a retcon sure but even the Vanguard had no idea The Traveler saved Savathun. There is so much history not only we as the Player don't know but what the rest of the main cast don't know
(3 minutes into vid wanted to point out ) mara sov s a master tactician simply she is basically as carefull as batman is ( for those who dont know , batman has a contingency on how to kill every hero in Dc including a contingency plan for them to deal with batman should he go dark himself )
Mara plotting to kill us? Plz we have killed God's. Beings like Atheon times conflux so Mara can try ^_^. I've always wanted to wield the queen of the awoken as a weapon or wear her bones as gear ^_^ haha
Bro legit
Mara needed A L O T of setup to kill the witch queen, AND WE HELPED HER WITH IT! And while yes she did die, it wasnt instantly and wasnt full proof
And then we stroll up, fucking murder savathun at like quadruple her original power, literally kill a quadruple amount of her, and can just wield the darkness like its a toy, have killed MANY other gods with just our little silly knives, and have even conquered time and seen our own grave
Maras gonna need 10 years worth of setup to actually get rid of us, even the traveller said "heres a shard of me to keep you alive" in redwar
@@sweetolbrew dude for reals. Mara spitting mad game even tho she died against Oryx (which we killed in his full power) and have more than once helped her with her fuck ups. The curse on the dreaming city was her fault. She ordered Petra to assemble us to take out Riven a God damn Ahamkara thinking it would save the dreaming city but it unleashed the curse till this day is still active. And we had to search for her technicians (which idk why she can't herself given how "powerful" she is 🙄). Mara needs to rethink her threat against us. Hahaha
@@jinzo637 Oryx was not at full power. We killed Crota, which crippled the amount of tribute that Oryx received which weakened him. Also, the plan that Eris and Osiris made with Mara before Oryx’s arrival purposely involved her dying. That is why Eleusinia was created so that Mara would be able to return after gaining access to Oryx’s throne world.
The curse on the dreaming city is not Mara’s fault. Our guardian wished for Riven’s death during the raid, even though Kalli and Shuro Chi warned us not to give in to Riven’s temptations. Riven manipulated our wish and unleashed the curse when she died. That is why the wish wall was built in the first place, to prevent wishes from being manipulated by Riven.
dayum mara kinda stupid, worm's cute tho
