I’m kinda lost in the aspect of; what was the lesson The witness trying to teach Rhaulk? I know it’s not important in the overall game but in curious to know if anyone understood and if so can someone explain it to me?
Not sure how accurate this is, but this is what I took away from it. Rhulks people were violent and cruel. A stain on the universe. They oppressed him and his family their entire lives, all because of actions taken by the traveler. Rhulk protected his family from their oppressors, yet they cast him out because they were afraid of the man they turned him into with their own teachings and philosophies. Even later resorting to attempted murder on their own son out of this fear. Instead of trying to help the monster they created, who had protected them all this time, they tried to kill him out of fear. The witness then made Rhulk relive his life, watching it all unfold from a outside view. Rhulk felt Guilty about the actions he had taken. I take the Witnesses lesson as a means of teaching Rhulk that though what he had done may have seemed Barbaric, they were ultimately the right choice. Eliminating a corrupt and vile people, tainted by the travelers stench. Thus Rhulks relief. Relief that his oppressors were gone, relief that their stench had been cleansed from the universe. Relief at the justification of his actions.
Rhulk is so god damn cool!!! As I’ve said b4, he’s definitely a harbinger of what’s to come for the future of Destiny 2, a Darkness faction, the legions of The Witness that come from various races who embrace The Darkness.
the fact that what some races consider gods are like playthings to this guy and we beat him with nothing more than 6 people shooting guns, and we’ll probably do the same to his master, is hilariously absurd. Now that raid bosses are so powerful lore-wise, it should be reflected in the mechanics that lead you to kill the boss (example: the light bombs killing oryx). The mechanics can still rely on outputting dps with weapons (over souls, stuns, mini bosses etc) , but you shouldn’t be able to kill these types of enemies just by shooting at them.
An interesting lore idea that I’ve seen some people theorize about. Rhulk day one was his “true power,” though taking his sweet time. Every raid subsequently has been preventing him from fully regenerating, as the vines that coat him are a sort of regeneration (according to others, I have not fact checked this). I think that’s a pretty cool idea, and a sensible canon reason for him being weaker now after challenge mode was removed. I think that’s a pretty cool concept that makes some lore sense! Doesn’t really explain master mode, or perseverance, but the latter has its own explanation.
There should be a mission where we extract the darkness that still exists in his dead body(he’s still kind of alive but y’all get it) and from the caretaker maybe we could use it and it could be a sick mission.
Does Rhulk have his own throne world? He was obviously powerful and our fight with him, while challenging, seemed too easy to be a finality to Rhulk. Part of me thinks he will return in some fashion.
I don't think rhulk used the power he had in a mental fashion and focused on raw strength from the deep which leads me to believe he was able to rise from the deep bc he focused his efforts inward rather than outward and used the power to create rather than take so he probably doesn't have a throne world or he wouldn't have been trapped in savathun throne world
@@BungieStudios Theoretically Rhulks species could be called something else just because his home world was called Lubrae doesn't mean his species is called Lubraean.... The Cabals original home world was called Torobatl and The Cabal are called The Cabal, The species are still unknown for Rhulk, The Witness and The Entity.... Personally when it comes to The Entity i think The Entity is formless i think it is "The Darkness" i believe the darkness is not a way of being but an Intangible species, that's just my theory on The Entity though.
I find it really neat that, unlike the Traveler, the Witness does not choose one people to be its Guardians, but chooses many people, one from over a thousand different races.
I mean.. in his absolute height of power, even Oryx is just a spec of dust beside Rhulk and we mopped the floor with Rhulk now.. we have slaughtered literal gods, cabal, the vex, the fallen, the hive and everything else.. we may not have larvae in us but, we sure as hell have been exacting the sword logic all around the place.. how are we not the final shape?
I am a newer d2 player but have some experience. I played the last two season here and there but not everyday. For witch queen I have played every day sense it came out and really enjoy playing it. I have never done a raid before but really want to try one. Is there anywhere I can go to find a team to do it with? Ive watched videos on how to do it but would prefer to do it with an experienced player that could help me?
You say that Rhulk's race is not yet named, but... we clearly have a name for his home planet, Lubrae, and his people are referred to as both Lubraeans and Stalkers. So... we've had the Fallen, the Hive, the Vex, the Cabal, the Taken, the Scorn, and now it seems like we may have a new race coming in _Lightfall_ and _The Finale Shape,_ the Stalkers.

Best raid boss yes do you know why?
Rholk: kick the guardian
Guardian: don’t kick the guardian
Rholk: …… kick the guardian
So, what is the traveler? Just started getting into destiny lore. Love your videos.
@@droneant7602 and then leaves once the black fleet arrives, crippling the civilization and leaving them to die, no doubt it’ll be doing that again
That's the thing, we don't know
Rhulk is so god damn cool!!! As I’ve said b4, he’s definitely a harbinger of what’s to come for the future of Destiny 2, a Darkness faction, the legions of The Witness that come from various races who embrace The Darkness.
Probably the best dlc I've played since forsaken
Why do I have a feeling that Lightfall’s raid boss will be Calus…
Watch it dead ass just be bungie unvaulting leviathan and adding contest mode
@@piggynatorcool668 nah its going to be taniks
@@Xplosiv3s skolas
@@Xplosiv3s Mf really come back to life and rename himself as "Taniks, the immortal disciple"
the fact that what some races consider gods are like playthings to this guy and we beat him with nothing more than 6 people shooting guns, and we’ll probably do the same to his master, is hilariously absurd.
Did my first completion last night and man this raid is best since deep stone crpyt love it
"And Lubrae... die-" *GUARDIAN DOWN*
I miss when all we had to deal with was a simple Hive God controlling the taken... Or Siva
5:56 rhulk: ...died
*garden drops down and dies*
that made me laugh a lil XD
The Witness and his disciples kinda reminds me of the Shadows of Calus
Guys been alive for billions of years, takes out entire civilizations single handedly... Goes out from small arms fire. 🤣
5:56 “and lubrae died” GAURDIAN DOWN
Guardian down, that's one way to get your name in a lore video ;)
11:50 Holy crap, so Savathicc was really serious when she meant to protect the Traveler. The light.
She could've went about it a better way. Working with the guardians instead of against them... But, manipulators need to manipulate
Nice video, always wondering . . . why "witness"? . . . what did he witness? or why he is named like it?
Destiny show or movie must be made like seriously it’s gonna be goooooood. The lore is beyond interesting.
Rhulk is indeed the first disciple as his theme-the second to last song in the WQ soundtrack-is named The First Disciple
It could also possibly be the first disciple to come from many more that we will have to fight.
I don't think rhulk used the power he had in a mental fashion and focused on raw strength from the deep which leads me to believe he was able to rise from the deep bc he focused his efforts inward rather than outward and used the power to create rather than take so he probably doesn't have a throne world or he wouldn't have been trapped in savathun throne world
People think the black branches that spawn from him are his way of reviving himself. That or it symbolizes a corrupted, dead tree.
@@BungieStudios like the tree that grew in the garden🤔
I wanna know what species The Witness is and what species Rhulk is, Its nice to have a couple new species introduced into destiny after 7 year.
Lubraean for R-Hulk. Unknown for the Veil or Witness.
@@kurtnordli1381 It's what fans have taken to calling him. Much like the American DoD refers to us not as Homo Sapiens but as Terrans.
@@BungieStudios Oh ic im just being theoretical lol it could be the case
He literally calls himself the last lubrean in the video y'all got that ADHD goin on
12:42 That sounds like Admiral Vance of Star Trek Discovery.
Right off the bat, deceding like a vampire.
HUGE thundercrash inbound at 14:34
I find it really neat that, unlike the Traveler, the Witness does not choose one people to be its Guardians, but chooses many people, one from over a thousand different races.
Technically the traveler did choose multiple races, just much later than the witness, otherwise why can we use the light against the lucent hive

5:50 btw
He's just standing there... MENACINGLY
I gotta do this raid now
Wait but why did the "spear" responded to us if it was a weapon rulk welded and how did we subconscious knew how to use it?
Awesome video 👍 thanks for explaining this
I mean.. in his absolute height of power, even Oryx is just a spec of dust beside Rhulk and we mopped the floor with Rhulk now.. we have slaughtered literal gods, cabal, the vex, the fallen, the hive and everything else.. we may not have larvae in us but, we sure as hell have been exacting the sword logic all around the place.. how are we not the final shape?
I am a newer d2 player but have some experience. I played the last two season here and there but not everyday. For witch queen I have played every day sense it came out and really enjoy playing it. I have never done a raid before but really want to try one. Is there anywhere I can go to find a team to do it with? Ive watched videos on how to do it but would prefer to do it with an experienced player that could help me?
Try looking up Timbo on YT and he has a discord full of chill people trying the raid and even sherpa-ing it too.
Thanks for the work! Awesome!
finally a villian worthy of my simping
Witch queen is the best dlc we have ever gotten
Maybe in Lightfall, they will introduce Rhulk's race. And his planet, Lubrae will be a destination. MAYBE.
