This is a great video! It gives a good feel of how the comps are. You did awesome Sean! Qualifying in the Top 32 with all the skill in the comp, it says A LOT! Keep it up with the videos and your progression with Drift!

Thank you! I started RC Drift a little less than a year ago. I used to race offroad 1/10 scale during high school and college but took a break from rc around 2018. I have lived near super-g and heard about it for a long time but never checked it out until my friends decided they want to get back into RC cars again last year. Its been some of the most fun I've had in a long time!

So I am just getting into rwd rc drifting I use to drift when CS (counter steer) cars where a thing
What are the basics essentials to set up a good rwd car to have fun with not necessary for serious competitions
For a budget setup I’d say a yokomo v4 gyro, yokomo spo2 servo or Reve d servo. I wouldn’t go super cheap on esc or motor so my choice is the HobbyWing XD10 Pro Combo in a 10.5t. You can use most radios so if you have one you should be ok. After that would just be the chassis and I’d suggest a Yokomo RD2.0, it’s there beginners kit but it’s a super solid car and if you ever wanted to upgrade it has the most options to do so.
This is pretty much what I ran for a while and what I would tell anyone to start with🔥 It’s pretty budget friendly for the real performance you’ll get. You likely wouldn’t need to ever change anything and the parts would all hold a pretty good value if you ever wanted to sell.

Great video bud! I'm not a drifter yet but still exploring this corner of the hobby. You planning on hitting up any events here soon? The next biggish ones I see is the April Fools run and the May the 4th runs both at horsemans. Have you been to a reef's event yet? They are also awesome but on hold for a little while. Well I still really appreciate you watching Raf! I would love to get out to a crawler event soon. Im going to look into those for sure! I havent been to Reefs yet because I kept missing the sign up but Id love to go so I'll keep an eye out to see if they start back up! If Im able to make an event soon I'll make a post before🤘🏼
Hello Sean! What front camber are you running on your setup?
Im runining right around -5 up front. Im still experimenting with it too. I was running around -7 but its been much better with the -5, I may try less at some point but its startying to feel great👍🏼
So the car gets weighed after the run? Or before
It get weight before the 1st qualifier. Usually tech happens an hour or so before the quals start. That way if you have a problem such as weight or rear bumper height off you have some time to fix it, test it, and re tech it.
If you change anything after your are tech checked you will technically be disqualified.

If they could adapt VR into this. And use it in a way where you could integrate simulator controls like steering wheel e-brake pedals and shifter. This would be something awesome as hell. Not that it isn't already
