It's not that bad, just inconsistent. If you get your field up and a couple of backrow negates like Lost Wind and Fists of the Unrivaled Tenyi + your searchable hand traps you can even stop decks like Snake-Eyes. The only problem is bricking and hopefully that's going to be fixed with Primoredial's release.
@@graffiti6267 3x Pacifis field, 3x Megalosmasher X, 2x of Spiral Power and Spiral Battle, a couple of in-Archetype equips and 1 or 2 Phantasm Spiral Dragon is the core of the deck, and it's entirely N and R. Then you can add cards like Lost Wind and Fists of the Unrivaled Tenyi, Sea Stealth Attack II, Piercing the Darkness, Supernatural Danger Zone and Fish Sonar, and basically any other usefull generic trap you can think of. I like running Storming Mirror Force, Torrential Tribute and Solemn Judgement but you don't have to if you don't want. Morganite works but this deck is supposed to be control for one turn and then otk, so it's not the best choice most of the times. Extra Deck is irrelevant, just throw some random monsters in there for your pots.

It has been fun playing White Aura Ghoti. Sure I have no ghost hand traps, but I can fit in other cards that helps going second. Speedroid was an option but then I realize Umi control is a thing so I decided against it
Rocking the gundam shark build, and it just dismantles ice barrier, since they normally need their normal summon to stick on the field and you have like 5 ways to remove it off rip
After 10 games of nothing but various versions of stun. I'd rather just not play this event. It's miserable. Even though I've only lost 4 of the games. Grinding against it is a freaking painful experience.
appreciate the lists but timestamps would also be good. i guess wanna play mermail because i have alotof the cards already from opening tearlament packs, but ive never used them before

i ended up just using the loaner ice barrier. i tried a bit of lyrilusc with no ur but it wasnt going that well but going ice barrier if i went turn 1 id win 90% of the time but turn 2 was really hard and i have won maybe 30%. wish i knew what deck would be good but it feels as those two are just really strong for this event especially going first.
@@the_dark_build8318 I finished the event last night. If I were to be honest, I did not like it at all. I started the event with a 60-card pile, as I did not know what to play. I finished the event yesterday, and I feel like nearly half of the duels was against Ice Barrier. Lancea was always out on my opponent's turn 1, and it was a royal pain to deal with. I ended up falling back to my tried-and-true Marincess deck, and even there, it was not an enjoyable time. You wouldn't believe the number of people surrendering on Turn 1, and the number of duels that finished either because my opponent would Evenly Match through Gymir Aegirine's effect (I don't understand why...) or dealing me lethal on Turn 3. Plus, I swear that I faced the same duelists multiple times. One of them - Playjaker - I think I faced three times...
Honestly as a Paleo player, it hasn't felt good in the event at all. You don't get to run the soldier dragon package, nor the fiend griefing back jack package, and with Ice Barrier being by far the most common deck, that shit has a card that causes all milled traps to be banished. I've been struggling by with Marincess and Shinobird because I hate Ice Barrier so much that I refuse to play it lol
Have empen search the counter trap. I've had people scoop just after activation... I'm running a going second variant and have yet to encounter an unbeatable board
