RPM following in the SoundRacer product is depending on pulses from alternator and in about 15% of the cars on our Listed cars page it is a problem. The app gets rpm from the OBD and we have no statistics yet for how that works. The engine sound recordings are the same but the sound is produced in different ways so there are some differences, listen to our TH-cam videos and compare the sound to see what you prefer.
Defo getting one for the next time I drive Mulholland Highway in my rental car. LOL
Every time I get into my moms Prius-C I wish some sound would be made when you "turn it on", instead of start it. This is hilarious.

I would love to hear large truck sounds. Is that on your roadmap? Would pay lots for a truck sound set.
This only lists the Fiat 500 2012, but 2013 and newer are considered somewhat different. Will this work on 2013+ Turbo/Abarth 500s?
But it is great fun to hear a roaring V8 when you accelerate with a small car that saves on gas and environment!

Does the V12-sound lack the "simulated exhaust backfire pops and bangs"? I like them and it would be nice to switch them on/off in the app.
backfires on the SoundRacer FM transmitter has been removed, too many did not want them. So there is no backfires in the app.
this is cool as shit. all it needs is just a roots style supercharger wine (rpm dependant) Paxton supercharger surge (when u let off after raving flutter) and finally turbo sound (dependant on pcm calculated engine load + throttle position) that way turbo sound will sound like a real turbo with some lag haha!!!! so going to get this.
We plan to make also iPhone and Windows Phone versions. Now it is only for Android.
this would def be cool.....my engine is already prett loud though (350z) so I think it would make it too obvious xD

I can get the app to connect to my ELM327 adapter and the icons go green except for the last one??? Why is this! It comes up with ISO-protocol and some numbers and doesn't connect... Please help!!

Hmm, our toyota corolla is a 2002 I think and it doesnt have a AUX or Bluetooth input, Is this the only way to get the sound to the speakers or can the sound go through the OBD thingy?
Just get those Audio Cassette players (with an Aux wire - $0.99 on Ebay) if you have an Audio Cassette player in your Corolla... then plug the jack into your Cell phone, and voila.

The free version cannot receive the engine rpm from an OBD Bluetooth interface, you can only revv it manually

I am using elm 327 but when i click on start enything works correct but when i click on obd2 adapter it says trying to connect but then it says failed to connect everytime this happens plz help

+DxR Gameplays It only works on Android, but mine didn't work. Apparently the failure to connect to the vehicle ECU is common and the don't try help. They just give refund.
Super terrible, but funny. Need the three beeps from Pole Position or some Street Fighter II sound effects.
I despise this product. These engine sound should only be obtained by owning and installing the proper engine, and with that engine you get the benefits of the extra power
