Hello, nice video. Mine is a bit laggy like yours at 3:40 . Is it just when your car is still and u rev it? Maybe it is better when you start driving… and mine is so delayed, is it maybe because I use Bluetooth?? Thank you
Thanks. I got mine just today but unable to connect it to the app. I see you managed to connect without changing the host and port information but by merely trying it the second time? Is the connection on your phone DHCP or Static?
@@inzp3ctorhello, I have the same issue could you please help me? I drive nissan teana 2010, used ELM327 kingbolen wifi, and it says cant query rpm on revheadz, i tried quite a lot of apps all of them worked. Only revheadz doesn’t :(
Is it connect with (Swift vxi 2006) Actually I buy (obd || elm327) And it is not connecting with revheadz Is it connect Tell me bro iam waiting for your reply
yes. wifi or bluetooth to the phone is fine. from the phone to the car use a cable otherwise you will introduce a delay most likely due to the nature of audio timing over bluetooth
An expensive unit reads the codes and clears the codes. With these phone interfaces the device is just doing the connectivity. Then it depends on the application on your phone to determine what you can actually do. A mechanic doesn’t buy a phone app. They use dedicated all in one scanners

Haha yes! His car is way too quiet! I wonder how a hybrid would react with this? If the engine is off do you even have rpm data? And when the engine is on I think the transmission is CVT anyway. I guess I am lucky my Mazda has a 6 speed transmission so I can do this. Some CVT have stepped “fake gears” such as Subaru but I doubt this is the case for super efficient Toyotas.
Yes with Bluetooth I have a very noticeable delay. When I use the apple adapter (lightning to 3.5mm audio) then I have no delay. So instead of buying the wifi version I should have got the cheap Bluetooth version because you have to use audio cable anyway to eliminate the delay
@@kieranfuller5511 yes you are correct aux cable if using android or iPhone SE. No other iPhone uses 3.5mm stereo jack which is why I mentioned the apple adapter. Lightning to 3.5mm stereo female adapter cable.
Damn. I already have a Bluetooth verison and just got myself the wifi version to eliminate delay. Too bad the wifi doesn't even connect and isn't returnable. 😢
Well yes and no. Video games sound great but they all sound fake because it’s always the same tone all the time. But in a real car you have variables. Engine temp. Exhaust temp. Car speed. Road noise. All these variables change what we really hear when we really drive. You don’t get any variable when using a simulator like this. I guess the deeper sounds are slightly more authentic. I enjoy the V8
my favourite part was watching him try and plug it in
