Thanks guys! Couldn't have done it without the others. Ryan had the shovels strapped to the truck and he was in town. I was using a dustpan until people came the rescue with shovels.🙌
Beautiful spot. Such rotten luck there. Even with all our planning, there are some things that you just can't plan for. Glad to see you all out ok. Enjoy more travels !
It's still one of our favourites. Was sad how our time ended there, but we did go back a couple of months later and managed to have a much more relaxing stay. :) Thank you very much. 😘
So lucky! Wow you guys just got out of that one! Just stumbled across your channel and that’s the first one I watched! Just wanted to say what great little fisherman/woman the kids are!! Looking forward to seeing what else you’ve shared.
Literally JUST! It was a stressful situation. 😮💨 Thank you very much. They enjoy it. Their favourite books are scientific based marine books.😄 Their love for the ocean comes from Ryan. Glad to came across our channel. We just started on TH-cam 6 weeks ago and we've been enjoying the process so far. We have an episode dropping weekly so keep an eye out for them, but in the meantime, we hope you enjoy our other videos. 🥰
Honestly, we never thought it was going to come up that high, and it wouldn't have if it wasn't for the cyclone brewing off shore and large swell. It was meant to be a 1.5m tide and 2m swell, which would have been fine parked up next to the dunes, but it ended up being a 1.9m with 4m swell. We also had 35-40km winds that didn't help the situation. Took everyone by surprise, across all of the beach camps, even those in town were hit with it. I (Rachel) was by myself that day, Ryan was in town with the truck so there was no way to hook up, all I could do was dig moats and build walls. 😁
Yeah, a 1.5m was predicted but there was a cyclone brewing offshore which caused large swell. Surprised everyone and caused havoc both on the west side and in town. 1.9m was wild! destroyed the beach and changed conditions for months after. It didn't even need a high tide to flood after that. A 1m flooded the place. Haha, kids will be kids. Good on em'😄😍
Nice ep legends. Sorry for all the jealous keyboard 'wankers' in the comments. (Some people need to get a life). No amount of preparation can prepare you for what happened. Also pretty hard to move your van without your truck 🤷♂️😂. Looking forward to the next series 🤙
Don't no how dump people are you new to was going be a high tide but didn't move the van out of being lazy. Lets spent time digging a wall. Now in my head if im thinking lets build a wall then i probably should just move off the beach and be safe 🤦♂️
How is it a disaster. If you study the tide times and movements, your preparation should have been able to indicate where you were safe to set up. It sounds like lack of preparation..... The work does not stop when you arrive. It actually starts. Anyway, all things awesome are those that happen to us along the way
Nah, it wasn't as straight forward as that. The weather app is our bible😆we read it well. A 1.5m was predicted. There was also a cyclone brewing offshore which caused large swell. Surprised everyone and caused havoc both on the west side and in town.
Beach camps are getting closed down around this country because of idiotic things like this, think of future campers, it's not all about you and your YT channel, and that's not hate , that is fact, we've been asked to move on because of what influencers have done
Wow! A-lot of accusations and pointing the finger when you are so incorrect! We were paid campers and fully entitled to be camped on the beach. It wasn't a case of putting ourselves in a situation for a video, every other person across all beach camps in the area were in the exact same position as us. The weather is not always predicable and this was a freak, unexpected event to have the entire beach flooded. You are usually safe up near the dunes, but on this occasion everyone got stuck!
All the gear and no idea 👍
lots of them out there mate
Omg😮 what an ep…. Great to see everyone chipping in and helping each other …. Safe travel guys 🍻🤙

awesome episode, everyone gives a hand in these situations💯

I swear I saw this truck and van in Melbourne this morning haha
Definitely not. Too cold in Melbourne for us. 😆 Must've been an imposter. 😆
Curious as to why you didnt hook up and leave? Come back another time 😊

If not for such a melladramatic intro ,I might of considered watching.
Garry, you're like a parrot! 😄You've expressed your deep hate for our intro before. Just skip it mate! 😆
Keep it up you guys amazing episode and much respect from🇵🇰
Thank you very much. Glad you enjoyed.😄
Now you know how the islanders feel with rising sea levels. Click bait using the word ‘disaster’. ‘Near disaster’ maybe? 🤔😳👍🏻
What a wild ride!
Panic stations. Well done to all who helped. Mission success
It was a mission indeed. Glad to have a great group of people around to help.😃
😀😀😀😀👍👍👍👍❤❤❤❤
hey guys, that slimey should have gone back out with a 5.0 through it's back, they are awesome live bait
Haha! Too true! 😆

Meanwhile the kids played on 🤭🤭

@@ATruckAndATrip You got away undamaged that's the main thing
@@nzmarkb8713 For sure. We were lucky. Others were sitting it salt water for hours and had their vans ruined. 😓
@@ATruckAndATripthose that got stuck in salt water, not much to say except, stoopid

A Kokoda Admiral in the Water, That's ironic.
Unreal ! those green parrot are delicious
Very tasty! Good looking fish too.
Why didn't you put the van where the boat trailer was, looked like there was enough room.
Our van is 23'3ft. There was no way it was getting in there. 😄

I could respond to your message in so many ways, but I'm going to let this one go. Have a great day, David. :)
pretty stupid to setup right next to the water!!!
It's a beach camp. In all our years camping on the water this has never happened. Just one of those freak things, thanks to mother nature. 😄
Agreed.

Where is the fire?
It's out now, but it was in the Northern Territory, as shown and explained in the video. 😃
Whats your nickname (gutshot)
It's usually "Sniper!" 😆
