thats kinda sad.. the conditions of the animals from the "shop" are so bad.. The chickens are literally standing on each other. And i think there should be rules on hand feeding.. In my country you are not allowed to hand raise a baby bird unless the parents of the bird dont take care of the baby's. Btw that cage is way too small for any bird.. I hope you know how hand feeding works cause if u dont, there's a chance that you can kill the baby bird by hand feeding. I wish you good luck and i hope you get a better cage for your cockatiel...
@@raikoc9980 If you have experience with handfeeding a baby bird then thats good.. But if you dont you should get yourself informed about how to handfeed your bird. Mostly petshops dont know much about this so inform your vet or anyone who knows a lot about birds to help you out. For a beginner it isn't very smart to buy a baby bird that needs to be handfed. Also please read a lot of information on the internet. A proper cage, safe toys and of course food.. A bird cant live on seeds for his whole life.. It need veggies and fruit. Not too much fruit cause there's a lot of sugar in there too! I hope i helped u out a bit! Also sorry if my English is a bit bad cause its not my first language :) Btw there's a yt channel called 'Birdtricks' and im pretty sure you will get a lot of information from them. If there's anything you need to know, you can always ask me! And congrats on ur new bird!

@@raikoc9980 I dont know a lot about handfeeding so if i was you i would get professional help for that, because there could go something wrong and then u wouldnt know how to deal with them. Also i do know that if u handfeed wrong, the food could go in the birds lungs instead of the stomach, so then ur bird basically kinda drowns... A good diet for your bird is very important. Go on the internet and you can just type in what u need to know. There are a lot of good site's with the ight information that u need. For my birds i mostly have mixed seeds, also they get almost everyday there veggies and fruit. Mostly something like 70 or 60% veggies and 30 or 40% fruit. They really need that for the vitamins. Dont just give them any fruit or veggie u think is good cause there are some which are poisoning for the bird. Again on the internet there are a lot of sites who can help u out and lists what birds can and can not have. If you only go on seeds, you bird is missing a lot nutrients and vitamins. There are people who mix there seeds with pellets. But NEVER leave your bird only on pellets because then there gizzard doesnt need to do anything and it gets weak. Hope i helped u out a bit!
true there should also be some toys, cuttle bone, alot of natural perches. The minimum cage size for cockatiel is 24 inch long, 18 inch wide, 24 inch tall.
