Can you imagine picking up a very dirty rug, only to find out about halfway through the clean that it's nothing but filth as it dissolves? Sometimes I wonder if any of these rugs will do that... 😂
Yes, sometimes durning the wash we see that the rug is rotten and we cant finish the service. But 99% of times we notice the rug is rotten before we even wash it
If you label it clearly, maybe a short video of a "failure" so we can see how bad is too bad condition?

Granted I don't have a garden or a farm.
But I don't recall my grandparents putting rugs outside.
They just mucked through the mud.
Maybe surplus and worn out rugs were scarce or too costly to use this way.
It might be a cultural tradition that they were not aware of, and when coming out of the Depression, still had a scarcity mindset not to spoil something valuable.

In Poland many people use old rugs in the garden! For example in the greenhouse, so the water doesnt create mud.

This may be one of your best videos so far. Amazing work! I always love the way the foam overlaps when the rotary scrubber sweeps over it.
I'm actually curious, what's the most labor intensive tool to work with, with all the rugs you have to clean every day? It seems like the rotary scrubber gives the most amount of fight.

To answer your question, I think the overall of our job is very hard. It depends on the person - for somebody, washing is hard because of the cold water. For other employee it would be harder to hang the carpets to dry, because it requires arm's strenght. The rotary scrubber is hard to manage if you've never done it before, but you can get used to it.
I can't tell if there's any other color than gray and white.
The light, camera angle, and the water always seem to show a shade that seems pink, but is either optical illusion or residual dirt stains?

Who would allow their rugs to get this dirty?
The rugs can come from a garden, garage or a construction site.
People use rugs in those areas as entrance matts, usually in places where the walking path gets muddy, for ex in greenhouses or on sandy floor in construction sites. A carpet helps to not get dirty in mud
Smoke damage can cause this, too!
How many liters of water does it take to clean a carpet this nasty? Or put another way, how many liters of mud did this rug make?
