Loved his grips. Enjoyed dealing with his wife through email when I had questions about the grips. The quality is way better than the stock S&W grip that came on my 625PC that was supposed to be like Jerry’s grip. The grip works well for speed shooting. The fit and finish is beautiful. However, the grip is hard on your hand after many thousands of rounds. If you shoot a lot, you could be looking at some damage to your hand.
Hey Jerry Thank You so much for sharing this 👍 I just finished placing my order. The trigger guard on my model 29 was killing my middle finger, Thank You so much I really appreciate it .
Jerry when you are shooting wheel gun matches, do you carry smooth or checkered grips? Oh and your website Is out of stock of the smooth grips. As always, Thank you Sir. Us chronologically gifted guys that started on and carried wheel guns for years love to see how you and your talents are keeping them in the forefront. As a great man once enthusiastically said… “Get Some!”
Hello Jerry, I really like Hogue grip panels they close off the gap behind the trigger guard and grip. I dislocated my middle finger so shooting more powerful revolvers is very painful. A while back a buddy picked up a Freedom Arms 454 Casull, I fired it 1 time and it damn near broke my knuckle. I like the rubber grips better myself, just my personal preference.
I HAD HORRIBLE LUCK WITH 2 SETS…. ONE SET CHIPPED AFTER ONLY 10 ROUNDS!!!! THE OTHER WILL NOT FIT…..OVER 200$ AND APPARENTLY THEY HAVE NO CUSTOMER SERVICE…. THEY DONT RESPOND TO EMAILS AND NO PHONE NUMBER!!! Glad you had success👍🏼
I've bought at least 20 Hogue grips for hand guns & rifles, all fit & functioned perfectly. I once bought a Pachmyer for a 629, it was junk thru it away & got the Hogue grip. That was 30 + years ago. @@rogersharpe5783
Looks like my .357 Taurus grips from the early -90. Same wood and has dimensions of a old soap block. Sure it is hard wood and my Taurus grips are still more than good. Damn those Brazilians could handmade revolvers to last and cheap. Nowdays the grips cost more than hand fitted revolvers then.
Just bought Hogue rubber grips on my old Colt Anaconda. I cannot even tell the difference on the new Colt Anaconda when i shoot them. Really if you can shoot and have shooted many guns the double action pull weight should not be the issue if the gun has right dimensions and shoots good. They should go back and make the old Colt Anaconda at the half price of the new one. Machining have evolved and is cheaper now than ever. Sure the polishing cost :D Take your gun to goldsmith and he will polish that under 150 euros in Finland. Finland is not even a cheap country.
I can't stand this trend for grip makers, especially and ironically in this case Hogue, to put finger grooves, hour glass shapes, and all other abominable angles on grips. These are about perfect in shape. Subjectively I prefer them a bit wider at the web of the thumb and fingers.
I purchased a set of Miculek grips for 627….shot 8 rounds of 38spl… then 2 rounds of 357… they chipped off small piece….. another set for 617….. they WILL NOT FIT…. Despite a lot of effort…. They have NO CUSTOMER SERVICE !!! EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED ESPECIALLY SINCE I SPENT OVER 200$….. DO NOT BUY😢😡
In '67 I bought a new S&W mod #10 for $62. The larger custom target grip was an extra $5.
My favorite grip now is the Hogue JM model that came on my S&W 625JM. I am going to put a set on my S&W 610.
Hi Jerry ! I shot competively for 26 years when I was alot younger and I enjoy and appreciate your videos so much. Keep them coming.

Thank you. I have a set on my Model 66, and now I know that they are improperly installed (by me)!
Just ordered L Frame checkered for my 1982 686 6inch. Gonna look and feel great!

They are gorgeous. I wish they were available for the new colts as well.
Nicely done Jerry! I had a set of Hogue Pau Ferro grips on a SP101 and they were great. 👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸

Thanks much. Do you have a good recommendation for a j frame? Like the look of wood. Suggestions?
Excellent video, and likely an excellent product.

How do you get away with gun builds, repairs yet every other gun tuber would be shut down?
It’s the green salad of salvation. Also known as MONEY. They’re wringing every cent they can out of the old man before he goes.

TH-cam is going to give you a strike for showing how to assemble a firearm. Just a heads up.
Right?
They aren't firearms because they don't have cylinders or barrels
To me they should stop making those stupid rubber grips they don't work and are completely useless.
