This challenge wasn't too bad. It looked fun actually. It wasn't as ridiculous as a lot of the other ones.
It was cute and fun and was actually directly related to the job of modeling.
It’s better than other challenges which prizes were “masterclass of runway with Miss Jay” or “a photoshoot for Tyra website”
I’d rather win money so I can buy clothes I actually like and are my personal style.
That challenge gave me Sims 1 Get Famous flashbacks 🌟
I was shocked how nice the final photos turned out.
Fun fact, did you know Mr Jay was the host/main judge for cycles 2 and 3 of Canada's Next Top Model? Watching him there while watching him in ANTM is so different that he seems so much more toned down. Luckily they don't seem to have tacky judging panels challenges like they did on America's Next Top Model
Also honestly if I were to win those racks of clothes, I could donate them to good will so it would be a win-win situation!
better off donating to a womens shelter or something than goodwill. Goodwill is becoming ridiculously overpriced and any nice clothes they get in that still have tags they MARK UP like crazy so that theyre not even affordable to low-income people anymore... which was supposed to be the point of goodwill. Its kind of messed up when you think about the fact that they get pretty much all their product from FREE donations so its 100% profit anyway (aside from what they pay employees, but i mean they have no inventory overhead costs) - the inventory costs them nothing and they are supposed to make things available to disabled and low income but they mark it up so much that you cant even afford it anymore at the rates they are charging for things they got for FREE. (it did not used to be like this, but ive been there recently and they're selling basic tee-shirts for like 8-10 dollars now when they used to be maybe a couple bucks tops) let alone something nicer that still has tags.

It was Sears in the 2000s. They were pretty basic.
I mean it was Sears in 2006. Looking back on the 2000s, the fashion was definitely different. They probably thought these were cute clothes at the time.
That’s what I was thinking. When she said, “Would you be happy with those clothes?” I said “If it was still the early 2000’s then, yeah, I’d take clothes from Sears” lol
Nah. Sears was still like rural mall mid tier department store in the early 00s.
I’m so glad you’re still doing these-the amnt tea is infinite! Glad we didn’t have to deal with tyrant’s constant shaming and the judge’s terrible feedback. This wasn’t so bad. Cheers! ❤

I’m not gonna lie, it feels weird to me that the photographer says Nenna being quiet put him off. Not to be that girl but as black women, if we’re shy and quiet then people are more likely to perceive it as us being mean and stuck up.

Thats true! Ive seen tyra do the same thing actually. Its also true of alternative white girls though and many other types of people.
That's sad. We are all individuals, unique in our personalities developed through hundreds of diverse experiences that to some degree define us. That said we can never know a person from first perceptions as they can be misleading.

The clothes win would be fun for me. Unless I hated them all. And then I would sell them or bless people so Id still be happy. Clothes shopping is hard for me so id be happy and end up trying some things that I would not buy.
Yea I would prefer the $ but still this price isn’t that bad you can always sell whatever you don’t like lol. theres another time in this season the girls who won gets a dinner and a spa treatment but the girls who lost have to do it for them. Danielle is hilarious in that episode bc she’s like why do we have to do this 😂

I don't think they did judge these photos as this was just a challenge and not the episodes main photo shoot

They love to crap on commercial models. Commercial models can make bank! It’s still a gig and if they pay you, and you’re comfortable girl you get that money.

I have so much respect for commercial models. I would be exhausted shooting different clothes all day, at speed, with outfit changes... i would be physically painful with tiredness. I hate clothes shopping because its overwhelming as a neurodivergent person... i make lists of items i want and have to stick to it. I don't try anything on unless i love the look and feel of it. I also hate synthetic fabric so i read labels so often....
So much respect. It looks so difficult.
You know a lot of the summer and autumn looks I quite liked and the spring was a mixed bag but god damn, all but like 2 of the winter looks were the white rice of fashion.
I love how Jessica is slowly losing the will to live as she re-watches all this. Thanks to you and Luxeria, I'm able to reprocess the trauma of this show from my childhood.
I just wonder... do they make her take all THOSE specific clothes or do they at least replace them with ones that are ACTUALLY -her- size? cause like all the clothes there were meant for other models too...i assume they are not all in her size.... so why would i want to win clothes that dont even fit correctly?

I heard it is a thing to abuse of young models naivete by paying them with clothes or accessories… I think that kind of price could just encourage young girls who wants to model that it is ok to be paid like this.

To be honest Ivwonder if this was to test their patience. When I see behind the scenes runway they are being barked at and pushed around so I get it. They don't want models beingvdefensive when there is a time crunch.

These challenges are hard cuz they have limited clothes to chose from. Think if they could’ve picked each fit from the store how much more they would’ve fit the seasons so good. And with how they like to sabotage them and ish u best believe the first they had to chose from werent that cute
