It also seems to be true that here in the US we have fewer public pianos, which might have something to do with fewer videos of American boogie woogie pianists posted to TH-cam. Just a thought....

@@mariuslabsch3358 I follow Thomas Krüger, another German street pianist. He seems to find a lot of street pianos near where he lives, which is in Berlin, I'm pretty sure. I believe you said you live in northern Germany. So that might be too far away for you. But perhaps he knows of some pianos closer to you.
@@mariuslabsch3358 I am at least half German from my mother's side. I think rock music (which i love) made many here in the US forget or not realize that boogie woogie was the root groove/drive behind what became known as rock n roll

lol My dad played a mean ragtime piano. Trained by his aunt in the late 1920s, he had these kinds of hands too-- all over the keyboard, pounding out the fun. Wasn't it lovely having someone like that in the family?

Absolutely, and utterly incredible. I'm totally in awe-xxxxx of this young man's playing. Talented is not enough to describe his talent. Looks like he is totally enjoying the whole experience. Love love boogie woogie, and all similar music. As I said, totally in awe of all people who can play music. Watched a Liberache (?) video when he was playing b. woogie - such an incredible, and irreplacable talent - we'll never see his like again.
