    I roughly translated this as, insulin is secreted from the pancreas to get blood glucose/sugar back down by allowing the Liver, muscles and fat to be used as dumping ground.

    If I am not wrong, liver has GLUT-2 and is insulin independent. Though insulin activates certain enzymes to convert the glucose into glycogen and to ATP (through glycolysis>kreb cycle)

    Q. so what happens with manufactured sugars like sucralose? The body will detect a sugar and produce insulin what does the body do? Do the kidneys filter it out?

  • @RiteOn
    @RiteOn 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Ate L. reuteri yogurt and it stimulated my insulin to the point of dropping me into hypoglycemia. Is the friendliest of all bacteria a form of glucose? I'm confused because ya'll talk only about glucose in relation to the stimulation of insulin. I'm thinking it's a far bigger story than just glucose?

    Where does insulin enter the blood stream? If your blood glucose level is already high without ingesting any food, is insulin still released from the pancreas?

    • @organizedbiology
      @organizedbiology 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The pancreas, like every organ, has capillaries surrounding it that bring it blood and nutrients. Therefore, the islets of beta cells in the pancreas (I believe called Lengerhans cells) will secrete insulin directly into those capillaries for systemic circulation.
      That’s a good question. If the food causes your blood glucose to rise further, there will be an even greater signal to secrete more insulin into the blood. This is a type of negative feedback mechanism-as the glucose gets higher in the blood, the more the CNS signals the pancreas to secrete insulin.

    If i eat something without sugar like meat or tuna, will the insulin rise or not?

    • @jhonarrrola9877
      @jhonarrrola9877 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No insulin increases when eating sugar or carbs, something like meat or tuna will not increase your insulin levels, fats and proteins don’t increase insulin

    • @bhigley
      @bhigley 13 วันที่ผ่านมา

      It will rise a little bit, but not as much as carbohydrates. Fat has the lowest in insulin response.
      So it goes carbohydrates has the highest response,
      protein has the middle amount and fat has the lowest amount of insulin response

    Lot missing like fructose and the only thing that can process it is the liver. Insulin sends to the liver, which puts fat around the organs.

    Hi!
    I have a nerve damage (or what I think is nerve damage) left side of stomach(just next to bellybutton)and going up to the lowest left rib. It's been almost a year now. I can't run or do any serious exercise, because I get this stabbing pain in that area, and it goes away in two weeks when I don't do anything. Fortunately I can walk as much as I want. How can I get this fixed? It happened when I was doing some weird stretching on my back and legs facing the wall in front of me. And I went to the shower and I felt pain on the lower rib when moving around. I rested for a week, pain gone, and then I had to go to a endurance test(running on a treadmill) and I gave it my all, no pain after it or anything. But the next day and like 4 days after it my whole stomach area was numb and painful. So that's how it started last year. So the pain started on the rib, but I feel it more on the stomach most of the time. But when I exercise or lift something heavy, the nerve pain is felt on the lower ribs too. Thank you! Been starting the intermittent fasting too thanks to you, thank you!
    Also it starts to hurt when I do any kind of stretching to it as well. Then I have to not do anything for 2 weeks, and the pain goes away. Sucks as well, I'm 21 and I love sports and training hard haha
    My doctor recommended me to take ibuprofen 3 times a day for 1 week. And she sent me to a physio therapist, where I haven't gone yet. Havent done the ibuprofen stuff as well, because I don't know if I should trust her.

      It can take a few weeks or months for a strained muscle to repair. If you keep using it it's like stretching and reopening a wound on your skin. You just have to take it easy and not overdo it. Hope the pain is gone by now.

      Watch the video at least 3 times dear. It's very clear. Insulin is important. It is a hormone which helps to regulate blood level of glucose, amino acid and fats after a meal. Insulin helps to take glucose into the muscle, liver and fat.
      When it is not being produced by the pancreas or in other words relased then diabetes happens. Must check how to keep this in balance.
