Don't know if you are being snarky or not, but Hendrix' cover of Dylan's "All Along the Watchtower" is one of his better known recordings. Damn TH-cam, You actually recommended a good channel. This had us all dancing around the garage like kids. This man has a whole ton of talent liked and subbed.
Even the reply to your comment didn’t understand. As for me, I could only think of Geddy Lee when he played a lead on the keys and guitar at the same time, most impressive.
Playing with the same rhythms and everything makes it easier, not harder. Playing two totally different things would be a lot harder. It’s an interesting gimmick, but anyone with a decent understanding of both guitar and piano should be able to do it with a bit of practice
@@thesmashfloydian dropped in to say the same and you beat me to it. In fact, playing a difficult keyboard line where the left hand (bass) rhythm 'fights' against the rhythm of what the right hand is doing is more difficult that playing an identical part on keys and guitar at the same time. It just seems difficult to non musicians because it's two instruments at the same time. The same could be said of singing while playing the guitar when the rhythm and phrasing of one is greatly juxtaposed to the other.

That's the reality most musicians don't see. A lot of people don't value music. They want karaoke or Spotify, not live musicians. Most people (and 99% of my family) are like that.
Jimi would have applauded that performance.
Would Bob Dylan? It's jak song , isn't it?
I think both Jimmi and Bob are rolling in their graves right now.
@Robert Glass Bob Dylan isn’t even dead, genius.
zbaker330 that was cringe.
@Brittney King cool. maybe you could help me. I didn’t see who asked, Brittney.
Him looking up to the sky was him summoning Hendrix
I saw that too!! ...thought the same thing.
Takes the place, efficiently, of hundreds of artists, dead or alive!! Like one of Buster Keaton movies where he was everyone in the orchestra, and someone in the wings replied, "this Keaton fellow seems to be the whole show", or to that effect. Brilliant! What a great mind in him taking care of all the intricacies!
Someone please give that guitar a cigarette.
TurboSupra91 do you want to burn it out completely?
A Marlboro red, please.
A malbro skyline please
Skanky
A Nissan skyline please
Impressive, especially done on the fly like that. If Bruce Springsteen's watching this, he's probably thinking he's got some serious competition.
'What do you like?'
'Hendrix'
Some things are eternal
@@johnsydjimi but its known by the hendrix version
"Can you play Hendrix?"
"Sure no problem"
Plays Bob Dylan
Hahah
Don't know if you are being snarky or not, but Hendrix' cover of Dylan's "All Along the Watchtower" is one of his better known recordings. And he is *definitely* mimicking Hendrix' version of the song and not Dylan's. Sure, he doesn't have Hendrix' chops, but few people in the world do, and he's performing a cover of a cover, so give the guy a break. I though he did a decent job of it.
@@heerthsdaytuehlp6771 he did do a great job. No issues at all with this video. Not giving anyone a hard time. Its just funny that when requested jimi, a bob cover is played. I enjoyed this rendition so im not really sure why you read meanness onto my comment. Nothing but love from me here and pointing out things that make me chuckle
Maybe you just happen to know Bob Dylan only and never came across Hendrix. Hendrix played this. and people loves how hendrix does..
@@jonathanpark7245 what you say is technically uncorrect. “All along the watchtower” is both a song written and recorded by Bob Dylan and a song performed and recorded by Jimi Hendrix.
Thank you sir, so much. Im 40 years old and from Germany. In this 5 minutes i was feeling again what rock'n Roll ment to me, feeling young and cool.
Music is such a strong weapon, in the hands of some people, like you!
Sorry for my Bad english!
Dont even worry. That was pretty good english, i know people that live in the us that cant write a sentence with that amount of correct grammar.
You said it well, bro. I could feel your meaning because it came from your heart.
Love your music man, especially these jams in public. You should start a live-streaming segment called “Streetside with Døvydas” or something
great idea.
That’s a great name
Yes indeed!!
This guy with talent before a bunch of guys and many passing by like zombies....... Brave new world!!!
GENIUS!!!
can’t wait till this man gets his gift. Truly deserves it. Need more life like him.
I didn’t think I especially liked rock , but I like this. I guessed I missed a great generation.
What’s there to miss I guess the live concerts. Which I’m sure where dopeeee. But all the same , it’s pretty nice to have it all available right now
Normally when I see " when someone requests Hendrix" I think ..... this guy killed it!!!!!🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏💪💪💪💪💪💪
He has such a sexy, unique, true rock voice. What a groovy man, I would 100% go to one of his shows.
That's the strangest version of all along the watchtower by Hendrix I've ever Heard. Nice for synthesized music.
It’s a decent blues rock cover of a Bob Dylan song. Hendrix, it ain’t.
Matt Miller prick
Matt Miller prick
Bob Dylan heard the Hendrix version and thought the song was meant for Jimi. Look it up. Bob Dylan wrote it but many of us really dig the Hendrix version, the forest gump Vietnam scenes gave me chills as a kid with that Hendrix intro. Guy did good for doing his thing, he’s not imitating Hendrix, he’s original and that’s respectable as hell.

It’s so cool to watch a the crowd slowly grow
What this guy does takes an assload of talent.
@DankChemdrop Put up or shut up, fucking loser.
@DankChemdrop you would not be famous purely on the basis of your attitude of putting other musicians down. You're right where you belong, making sad comments on TH-cam.
@DankChemdrop An artist uplifts an artist not puts him down. This art doesn't belong to us, we only practice it, so please stop being a douche.
Assload by definition is a tad less than a shit ton
@DankChemdrop loser
The facial hair makes him look like the biggest badass
When god gives all the talent to one person.
JAIG I’m afraid he’s made that mistake a few times. Paul McCartney, John Lennon, Harrison..
SgtScubaMan hendrix, frusciante, cobain, dave grohl
Jimmymolthoff though I love Grohl, I don’t know if we should put him of the same level as Lennon and Macca, same with cobain
@@DannyJ_2003 i agree with Grohl. not so much with Cobain.
@@DannyJ_2003 yeah Bonham was to drumming what Hendrix was to guitar, but David Grohl was definitely up there
Jimi watched approvingly with a smile stretched across his face while nodding his head
Damn TH-cam, You actually recommended a good channel. This had us all dancing around the garage like kids. This man has a whole ton of talent liked and subbed.
This is the worst cover of smells like teen spirit I’ve ever heard
underrated comment
You've had us in the first half not gonna lie...
Agreed
Lmao
Worst cover of teen spirit was from nirvana 😂
"Outside in the cold distance, a wildcat did growl.
Two riders were approaching and the wind began to howl."
There are no words to describe the highest quality of talent I just witnessed me watching this video. Perfection.
Was not expecting that voice , awesome
I don’t think people understand how hard it is to play the same thing on guitar and keys at the same time with the same rhythms and everything
Mango Man 4:43
We have the same surname 😂
I Was lucky enough to see Hendrix in concert 1968 Anaheim Convention Center second row Awesomeness😝
Musicians who can do this with the different instruments and loops are amazing!
How on earth are people just strolling by this guy like he isn’t just murdering this cover?
Seriously
Post up a link of your version?
OH! Don't you have a version? Go back to the kids table, son. The adult's are talkin'. 🤐
exactly
@bionicbastard leave
haven't you heard? 99% of people are sheep.
dude, that really took me back to the seventies, i sparked a doobie, kicked back and jammed to that POWERFULL cover rendition of watchtower,.... man o man....DUDE DID THE LEGENDARY HENDRIX JUSTICE WITH HIS WIZARDRY
those hunched old biddies shuffling past were probably at woodstock originally.
Probably had a bad trip then and now they are like...fuck its back ...
Digger 55 😂😂
@@digger5521 HAHAHAHAHAHA
Well done!
Hey how watch it I was 15 in 1969 during WOODSTOCK all I listen to is CLASSIC ROCK
Watchtower with a “Layla” lick...Cool!
Best way to perform live requests; loop what you know and play along with it.
That old fella had some flashbacks in his teenage years, awesome 🤘
He can play the drums and piano and sing also .. this guy is amazing talent to be able to do that like its normal .. he should be on stage with legends
First look: as impressed as I am with your technical ability and exciting fluid lead guitar...its your voice to me that is most remarkable.
What's the title of the song he played?
@@WeabooMoe I'm trying to figure that out.
Along the watch tower
You deserve to play in front of so many people. Your talent is rare and exudes skill and passion. May you make it as far as you choose 👍😀🎸
The power of music!!!!!
That Columbian restaurant is fire. That area is a Great spot for live music.

I was just waiting for that iconic solo bit with wah , then the funky chopped chords , circling back up the sequence. Anyone understand?
You need to nail this one Dovydas
G M he did nail it. This was awesome
Finally something that got recommended that’s amazing. Seriously talented. You deserve all the recognition and plus more.
2:44 you added a little 'Clapton' there bro... haha in a Hendrix-based song
Yeah, the layla riff was a nice touch
Layla

Haha i thought i was the only one who noticed that
He was singing like clapton too lol
Wow that voice I was not expecting that.

“Could be a little radical, for Sarasota” 😂 yeah I’d tend to agree! Great job!
Amazing the way he played the keyboard and the guitar at the same time!
