Haha, a lot of the time you've learned the song before but you forget what key it's in and how to play it. I'm 35 and I haven't played Simple Man in probably 20 years. It would take me longer than that but I'd have it worked out in a couple minutes of just hitting notes and seeing what's what. Other than that it's just staying in key when you solo. Dude killed it though, respect.

All he did was look up the chords, applied the circle of fifths and soloed the scales according to the circle.

Most, including myself can't even get the original song straight without butchering it. Also, many times an artist will cover a song adding their own flare to it. I started watching this video thinking “cool let’s see what happens.” What “happened” was I was stricken with so much sadness. There is so much emotion in this music. Watching the peoples’ faces I was met with the harsh reality that Americans may never again see eye to eye.
