Metallica performed at the Metro in Chicago, Illinois on August 12, 1983. This was part of their Kill 'Em All for One Tour.. James Hetfield was born on August 3, 1963 - Lars Ulrich: December 26 - 1963 - Kirk Hammett - November 18, 1962 - Cliff Burton was born on February 10, 1962.
A lot of what makes the guitars sound so great here is the GOAT. The ALMIGHTY Cliff Burton on bass. RIP Cliff. He was killed in a tour bus accident a few years before the Moscow show. But the Cliff Burton era of Metallica just hit different. Especially their live shows. That guy was literally a musical genius. Everything just sounded heavier and punched so much harder with Cliff on bass. If you really want to go down that Metallica rabbit hole I recommend Anesthesia (Pulling Teeth) Live Chicago 1983 and then of course For Whom the Bell Tolls (Live) [Cliff 'Em All]
Metallica's beginnings alongside one of the best bass players in history (RIP) Cliff Burton. He died in an accident on the band's bus in 1986, the other guys survived ;(
The bassists are so phenomenal that 40 years later people are still arguing over which one was the best LOL.... Cliff walked so Jason and Rob could run. Rest in paradise Cliff 💘
This has been my favorite band for the better part of 40 years. They were about 19 years old in this video, and they're still around (let that soak in). The vocalist/guitar player will be 62 years old this year. Check out "Creeping Death" live from Moscow in 1991. This is one of THE bands of the last 45 years!
I would love to recommend Kai Tangata by Alien Weaponry video clip, its from New Zealand a few years back the song is in Te Reo Māori our indigenous language of NZ, from memory they are only 15/16 years old and won the NZ rock festival and the prize was to film and promote their clip. Im sure you would enjoy as part of your Rock/Metal journey.
Ahhh the Burton/dave mustaine era🤣 IMO Burton is/was the best bassist ever! I love the next 3 albums they did, Ride the Lightning is my fav album with For Whom The Bell Tolls(track number 3 or 4 haha been awhile) is my fav song! Cool you guys are digging Metallica🤙
you should check out a performance of this song from 2024....would be fun to compare the performance of 19 year old Metallica to the performance of 61 year old Metallica ;-)
Please also check out a newer band (the band that by accident invented Symphonic Metal genre) called Nightwish. They were formed 1996 in Finland and as Metallica, they are still active. They are also most reacted group on TH-cam as far as I know.
Hey guys, new to your channel and liking it so far! If you want to check out a really good band with a great singer, check out Iron Maiden,Live in 1982 doing "Hallowed be thy Name"....great live show. And if you want to try other types of music other than you already have, check out Beth Hart live at Paradiso, doing "Am I the one" ...great performance. Or maybe Beth Hart and Joe Bonamassa live in Amsterdam doing " I'd rather go blind. Blues at it's finest. Cheers and keep it up guys!
Gotta do Alice in Chains. One of the best singers of all time in Layne Staley. Man in the Box, Would or Rooster are excellent first time listens. You'll be blown away
Hi from Denmark 50 + Lady here. 👍 I grew up whit lots of what i se you react to. 🤩 I can recommend as follow: CRANBERRIS Zombie CINDY LOPER True coller NIAVARNA (what you like) GUNS AND ROSES November Raine RIGHTES BTOTHERS You lost that lovning fealing, ore unchained melody JANIS JOPLIN mercedes Benz BETTE MIDLER The rose WARREN G and SISSEL Prince Igor (because of Sissel😜) 70 + artist Live aid Afrika I wil stop here for now, as long as you do not. 🤞😂😂🤗
This is one of their best early recordings when they started and were 19. Check out where they are today- still going strong at 60. This is the song Blackened a banger that they performed in Paris France at the sold out stadium. th-cam.com/video/kt8rOBrV1nM/w-d-xo.htmlsi=pZZdkehnvkmlF6lO
Funny, 2 bands can play this song, as the guitar player Dave mustane who started mega death wrote at least half of the song, metallica guitar player b4 kurt hammett, u guys seem impressed by 80s metal, but also appreciate the Phil Collins who in genesis played drums and sang bow walk out, so I'm gonna suggest a cpl, Pantera walk, 80s metal, ffdp far from home, modern rock, stone sour through glass modern, Alice in chains rooster MTV unplugged, older, Johnny Cash hurt, a lot of voice coaches react to it, anyone with a moms will appreciate simple man by lynard skynard
If you are getting into metal, and looking for crowd shock ones, check out Babymetal (Ft. F. Hero) PaPaYa. After watching it, then look up the meaning of PaPaYa lol Your reaction to the video would be awesome to see...
Gentlemen, I just stumbled across your channel. I love these reaction videos. See you're getting some heat for growing up in somewhat of a 'musical wasteland' but just ignore it. You're diving in NOW! We all started somewhere. So I suggested earlier to check out Comfortably Numb by Pink Floyd, 1994 Pulse concert, but I found you already had. You both said you want more movement. I get it, check out Run Like Hell from same concert. Also One Of These Days and Sorrow. Then if you're inclined check out Dark Side Of The Moon. Legendary album that was one of the longest chart topping albums of all time. Then try to understand Roger Waters, the primary lyricist and co-founder (not with them at this concert, long sordid story), very eccentric, egocentric, sick even. Understand what happened to Syd Barrett and how David Gilmour (guitar virtuoso) came to the band. After that check out The Wall, but not before, because you will be lost. Try to transport back to the 70s and understand why this music resonated with so many of us. I know younger generations look at us children of the 60/70s not really getting our extreme passion and attachment to this music, but once you do with genuine curiosity and willingness to learn, you'll get it too. My kids are very much into the current music scene but they have great appreciation for the music that came before, much being primary influences of today's artists. Keep going. Music is such a great medium, it brings people together, or great to zone out for yourself. You will never go wrong making friends with music.
PS: just watched your Queen videos. Want to hear a legendary song of crescendo, you must hear Stairway To Heaven, arguably the greatest rock song of all time (RSM lately has been trying to turn this for reasons I can get into later) and then go deeper with Led Zeppelin. Btw Brian May does have advanced degrees in Astrophysics but he was never actually employed with NASA. He collaborated on the New Horizons mission of which I work for the primary contractor and was involved with that program and we never saw or spoke with him. Easily said that he had far greater success and notoriety with Queen 👍
If you love. This then you better hear metallica's next song called the four horsemen.... This is great but the four horsemen song is mother effing awesome!!!!
I just subscribed to you two.. appreciate the exploration of the music genre if you love this rock kick your on and like unique voices then please look into the artist Meat Loaf and do a reaction to bat out of hell you will not be disappointed..
Hi new subscriber here can you react to Guy Sebastian preforms for Smokey Robinson ( who’s loving you) he’s an incredible artist, and his voice is out of this world
If you are taking recommendations I’d say this to the fullest for you as sons to a mother and maybe relating to the lyrics as well as it being classic rock. It’s called SIMPLE MAN -LYNYRD SKYNYRD. In my opinion I say record this blindly and give your real reaction. It’s a great song and I’ve seen many reaction videos sky rocket from it. Trust me the lyrics every son should hear.
in real noobs metallica = top 15 maybe top 10 band in metal! its a great band for sure but this album is the best in this band and remenber too mustaine write the best lines in the band ever
Nah music hasnt moved away from this... all the best music and musicians and bands are metal. The most talented. There is alot of shit metal music too tho. Once you discover certain bands you never look back.
LIVE music sucks. That is why all groups use studio versions as their official song versions. Don't waste your first hearing of Metallica songs on sloppy live crap like this.
THANK you for subscribing! WE REALLY Appreciate it. Follows on Instagram _ahmedrn and abdvl1v1
19 years of age!! Truely talented band...
Oh man you guys gotta do this song from their 1989 Seattle concert!! Actually you should check out every song from that show!

This has been my favorite band for the better part of 40 years. They were about 19 years old in this video, and they're still around (let that soak in). The vocalist/guitar player will be 62 years old this year.
Check out "Creeping Death" live from Moscow in 1991.

Of all the "Seek & Destroy" recordings, audio, this is probably the worse, imo!
James (lead singer/rythm guitar) was like 19 or 20 here. cra cra
If you boys like Queen. You should see Oasis at Knebworth.
