If you want to add what DN makes then that’s 54.25m between 5 players which would leave about 40.75m in cap space to spend on the other 18 players assuming the cap hit is 95m when all of them are resigned which really doesn’t leave much for other players
Also why is skinner not getting talked about when it comes to signing a new contract, he’s up the same year as McDavid and will arguably get a bigger raise than McDavid seeing he only makes 2.6m and McDavid can only get so much of a raise before he hits the max aav per season
Bouchard is not getting 10 unless he’s bridged again. The Nurse contract won’t dictate how Bouchard is paid under Jackson so if they give him term like 8 years he’ll probably make 8.5 to 9.

But Bouchard, I do not see him taking such a significant discount. He hasnt gotten paid yet like Connor and Leon. I think he signs 10.5AAV as well. All 3 sign 10.5-11. Every player signed in the summer took a significant discount just to stay in Edmonton. The core understands and will act accordingly
You could get windfalls from many teams just by trading these 3 players. But they can give their own windfall for the Oil by signing team Friendly deals to win and create another dynasty. Theres getting paid and then theres getting immortalized in hockey
