just to let you know...if you work on a cruise ship you can take your family. as a nurse you would be able to eat with passengers since your are considered an officer.
Yes! We actually met a nurse on the ship and he told us he even gets free massages!
When you stepped onto that ship, it looked like you had entered a mall! There was a time when I might have enjoyed being a cruise ship but I think those days have passed me by. Give me an empty beach, woods, a river, mountains, shoot - just a creek, and I'm a happy girl. So glad you had a good time, but I'll bet you were very glad to get back home too.
my wife only has 3 sons and a husband that refuse to go on a cruise. She went on one cruise with a friend that also had a no cruise husband. When she got back she claimed that all children and husband would hate cruises.
Our first cruise was on that same ship. One night we went to sleep, left our curtains open, and woke up next to another ship. We could see them and they could see us. STRANGE! Loved our cruise!
😱😀😂
How much fun y’all had, quite an experience for the kiddos. Loved the prayer before the trip. You guys rock!
We had a great time! The kids can’t wait to do it again!
The best cruise this former Navy man took was a cruise where I didn’t have to work!😂
We’ve never wanted to cruise…we don’t like sleeping on beds others have slept on….so hotels aren’t a favorite either….BUT a cruise to ALASKA is coming up this summer ! So we’ll see if we get addicted or run back to our RV life 😊
I'm actually going on 2😊 cruises in the next 30 days. 8 days on Wonder of the Seas to western carribean and 4 days on Carnival to the Bahamas. Wasn't originally planning that, but that's what worked out for me with 2 different groups.
Have fun.
The water show on The Wonders of The Seas is AMAZING!!!
@reneevegas I saw it a couple of nights ago. I agree. Heading to Roatan tomorrow for some zip lining and snorkeling as well as spending some time with the animals.
We absolutely love cruising and camping! We are Diamond level cruisers on Royal and plan to cruise and camp through our retirement in just a few more years.
We have done over 30 cruises all over the globe. We love that mode of transportation. So fun to see y’all have a great time onboard.
We would love to do a group cruise with you guys sometime.
Thank you so much.
Glad you enjoyed yourself. We had a totally different experience on our one and only cruse. We RVed a lot with our 4 kids (took them on a 22 month American History Tour, ... that's what I called it) after I retired from the military. We home schooled them so before they all left and went to college (the youngest is now 28, and we have 8 grandkids) we took a trip around the country and spent one month in Europe (Germany, & Luxemburg). So, we took a cruse to Alaska on our 25th wedding anniversary. We never made it to Alaska RVing so we figured we'd see it via a cruse ship. Like you we were concerned about getting sea sick. I was fine, by my wife had it rough one night (again like you all) with some pretty big seas as we left the intercostal waterways. Seeing the sites was all good, BUT we had to do that with all the crowds. As your aware, when your RVing and homeschooling you get to choose where and when you see things. We got spoiled because we never seemed to have crowds at popular tourist attractions, something you can't avoid when cruising. That was enough to sour us on cruising = the crowds. You don't get to get a real feeling for how a small town really feels when thousands of people are offloaded from a cruise ship and they all have a limited time to see the place. We like to meander through towns and talk to the locals without the crush of all the people. Happy for you that you enjoyed it, as many do because cruising is a very popular industry, just not something we'll be doing again. Love your channel, and thanks for sharing. P.S. This past summer we helped our daughter, son-in-law and their 2 year old completely renovate (we did all the work ourselves) a 29' 1972 Airstream Ambassador (Mar - Oct) and they've been living in it FT now and traveling the country. They just made it to the Pacific Ocean this week, and have visited 12 National Parks so far. They're loving the adventure and are fortunate he can work remotely as an Architect to help support them on their adventures.
We have cruised several times and friends have stated they don't want to be out in that water so far from land. I answer "you're never more than 3 miles from land...it's just that it is straight down" LOL! It's not for everyone but we enjoy about one a year and you can get on smaller ships without so much of the big city type distrations/attractions. You will also learn to book your excursions with locals at the ports of call...much more affordable and enjoyable. Thanks for sharing the cruise!
Thanks for watching.
Welcome to the club. Love cruising and RVing.
I just knew when you opened up your bedroom door there would be that couple laying in your bed. 😁🛌
😁
My first cruise left out of Port Canaveral. I loved watching the pilot get back on his boat after taking the ship out of port and then the reverse when we came back into port. This year we will be cruising Royal Caribbean’s Symphony of the Seas for 7 nights. Exciting to be with you on your first cruise.
We did the same thing , we went cruising and left RVing and never looked back. It is so much more relaxing and in reality much cheaper. We are now Diamonds and will soon be Diamond Plus with Royal Caribbean. RVing was fun for awhile but this is better, we love it.
I love watching everyone’s kids grow up and see all the adventures.
We love cruising. Love visiting numerous Caribbean islands. Cuba was exciting and in 2 weeks, we are supposed to be visiting Labadee Haiti, fingers crossed. Glad you all enjoyed it, and going with friends is the best!! thanks for sharing your trip.
Have fun!
Thanks! You reminded me why I like RVing so darned much! 😂 Glad y’all had a good time.
Cruising is such a fun time. Glad y’all enjoyed it.
How Cute!!!! Brings back super great memories. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
Glad you guys got away for some fun! It’s truly a great way for RV’ers to take a break! We are currently on a 10 day cruise to the Panama Canal while our RV is getting some work done on it. Having the work done and not having to worry about storage was a huge win (although it’s scary leaving your house full of all your stuff at a dealership).
Have fun!
looks like you had a great time. we cruise often and when we're not cruising we rv in a newmar dutch star. the kids are getting so big, love you guys
Best of both worlds!
What a beautiful cruise. You all had a blast
It was so fun!
I left Nursing full-time to become a Full-Time Flight Attendant ✈️ - I still do Nursing PRN and that’s it. When it comes to Traveling….I 💜 Cruising!!!!! I did The Allure of The Seas twice. It is soo nice to have everything you need…food, activities, relaxing, places to take the kids, bars, dance clubs and getting off at each port and go sight seeing. Although, the whole process of Checking in and out from a cruise ship…I would not do any cruise less than a 7 day cruise. Cruising is soo relaxing.
Looked like fun to me. Thanks for sharing
The stuff they have for kids now days on those ships is amazing and the food is 24 - 7, enjoy!
There is nothing like a cruise ❤
Love the ending! Didn’t see it coming!
We loved this trip. We've never been on a cruise before so this was really eye opening. Thanks so much! It really looks like fun
We are glad you enjoyed it.
That’s something I want to do with my family one of these days. Thank you for sharing.
What a fabulous but frenetic experience. I would be thrilled with the peace and quiet of my RV to recover 😊❤
Yes! Especially coming back to our own bed!
2018 was our last cruise. Your video is reminding me it's time for us to go again!!
Yes you should!
My wife and I did a lot of cruising before we stated rv-ing. One thing I like better about a cruise ship over rv-ing is I can completely disconnect. No work. From the rv, I work. My wife is retired so she doesn't understand why I would prefer a cruise over a camping trip. Safe travels.
Yes any way to disconnect and relax is great!
A great tip for cruising is magnetic hooks. The entire cabin is mostly metal. So easy to make better use of space that way.
That’s so awesome! Great family memories for y’all! We can’t wait for our cruise on Allure-we have met up with many ppl going already and we haven’t even gotten on the ship!!!😂🎉🎉🎉
We do both. And just got back yesterday from three cruises .. i dont pack much, one dress, makeup and string bikinis for everyday
The ending was classic! lol!🤣
Good deal guys. Enjoy, be safe.
Your kids seem mesmerized by the whole experience
There was a lot to take in for sure.
Oh how nice you all went on a cruise. How fun was that? Nice they had an ice show for the kids to see. Did they like it? Nice beach. How was the that chicken sandwich. That was nice all your rvs friends went with you. It looked like a lot if fun and the trip looked like it went by fast. Great video Nathan and Marissa! Love you all. See you soon! Have a great week.
The kids loved it and so did we. 😀
We went on the wonder last year. We hope to continue cruising while we full time as a retired couple
Heyyyyyyyy Glad you experienced your first cruise
Hope you enjoyed it 👍🏽
We did enjoy it!
So much fun !! 😀😀😀😀
I was not excited about going on our first cruise for the same reasons. In fact I was down right cranky the first time we boarded the ship. Now it’s one of our favorite things. Enjoy!
We are glad you enjoyed it.
This was so much fun to watch! I would love to go on a cruise 🚢☺️❤️
We have been on numerous cruise and they are all very different. We have been on Allure of the Seas and most ships are not this size. It was fun to be on it with all our family and granddaughters but we prefer the smaller ships when we travel with just adults.
My wife and I got engaged on Alure in 2019. It was her first cruise experience. We try to get 1 in every year since.
I love that!
We Rv and cruise too. Started cruising when our kids were really young, they are 17 & 18 now and have been to about all the Caribbean islands numerous times. Balcony rooms are the way to go. Happy traveling by sea or Rv
Wow that looks like so much fun. I’ve always wanted to do this. I don’t know anyone I’d go with and there is no way I’d go alone. So if the chance comes about at least I will know from an honest person what it’s like. What fun. Thank you
It was fun!
Such a cute video! Loved the ending 😂
Thanks for watching! We had a great time!
We just got off that same ship on Friday! Fun to watch you guys experience the same ship.
Awesome.
We went to CocoCay, Bahamas years and years ago - it looks so much different now! We actually had to take a little water taxi from the ship to the island, and it was not nearly at all developed.
My sister and I cruised last year. I swear she brought everything but the kitchen sink. It was Allure of the Seas.
We'll be on that ship at the end of March. We LOVE cruising. It also helps that we only live 1.5hrs from port canaveral. Glad you enjoyed it.
We loved it, thank you.
We were just on that exact ship "Allure" two weeks ago.
Hey guys, we were just on a cruise too. Just got off of Carnaval cruise. I did a lot of shorts and seem to be getting quite a few hits on them rather than doing a full-blown cruise thing.
It looks like you had a blast!! My husband and I feel like you when traveling. The crowded ship 🚢, all of the people, and mostly not having our own bed. That would be way too much for us, but thank you for sharing the experience with us 😊. Safe travels wherever you go next. ❤
It was fun to try something new!
We went on the MS Rotterdam in December and are going to Alaska in May. Love cruising and camping. We were wondering where everyone was since a lot of y'all have been MIA. No we know. LOL Wonderful experiance for the children. Thumbs up.
We saw a cruise ship leaving the port in Tampa last week behind the Florida Aquarium, it looked humungous. Glad u showed us around on one.
Our pleasure!
Excellent ending to the video!
Glad you liked it!
We've done both Royal Caribbean and Disney cruises. Disney is significantly more expensive but is rated the best "Family Friendly" line but Royal Caribbean is #2. We did the "Christmas with MIckey" cruise a year ago with our Grandson. I actually prefer Royal Caribbean and think it's more adult friendly. Carnival is a "Party ship" so we passed on them. We love going on cruises. We hit the top deck, walking/running track, at 0600 every morning.
What a journey. We saw Will and Jen too from General RV in your photos. Love the ending!
Thank you so much.
D00d, I had the same anxieties about a cruise, and it turned out great. Getting the balcony is key. We're going on our next one this may.
Oh what fun.
We have a travel trailer and also go on cruises. It’s both for us. They offer different types of experiences; cruises take you easily to far away destinations, but with the rv we seem to have more adventures.
Yes, a cruise is definitely a different. They each have their own unique experience.
I’ve always wanted to do a cruise. One day I’ll get there. The ship looked overwhelming though. Glad you got to experience it with friends.
Not all cruise ships have all that going on. We cruise Holland America and it is a much more chill experience.
We found that even though there is a lot going on you can find a quiet spot all the time.
We full-time RV but took a "vacation" recently on Harmony of the Seas out of Galveston. We cruised for years, but this was our first in 10 years. We love it but prefer the mid-size ships now (120 to 140K Gross Register Tons). The huge ships with 6,000+ guests are just too big and crowded.
That looks like so much fun!! I’m going to have to save up so I can go on one❤
It’s a great way to travel if you can!
I've wanted to go on a cruise one day but those crowds! I don't know if I ever will. Thank you for sharing the details!
I miss baby Hensley with her pink boots. 😊
We have cruised on the Allure twice, awesome ship.
Yes it is.
You all look really nice❤
We were on that cruise with you and didn’t know it! We ran into Corey and Jessie though and said hello! Small world!
Wow! Small world- big ship!🛳️ That is crazy!
Like you said, it looked more like a city or a mall than a ship! 😮. Fun to see some familiar faces too! 🎉
It really did.
We just did a cruise to the Bahamas ourselves. Hope to share all about it soon. It was great, but we missed our camper, and you can't take your dog with you on a cruise.
Love the ending 😂
😂😂😂
I watched Emma Cruise do a blog on that ship!
I just love your wifes accent, shes a doll
Nathan hope you fare well I would not do well on a cruise ship. good thing if you forgot it they probably have a store to get it. It reminded me of the Gaylord Opryland resort. lots of walking
wow, looked like Will from Matt's channel! Nice to see other faces we recognize! Glad you guys did it, too big and too crowded for us! Great Vid, thanks for taking us. Oh and we knew your neighbours would be in your bed.....looks like a good one!
We really enjoyed our trip.
Love Royal Caribbean ships. Great for the kids as well 😁
Yes they are!
Bon Voyage!
Hey! We were there in December!
No way!
Before I enter a parking garage(unless familiar) I mount a off-road safety flag to my front bumper. It is 1" taller than the truck. 🚩🚩🚩
Excellent room choice! Only way to cruise is from a balcony room!
We agree.
We've done 40 cruises. Most with Royal and have been on Allure and three of her sister ships (Harmony, Oasis and Wonder). We just got off 2 weeks on Wonder on 28 Jan. Seas this winter have been rougher than usual (off and on). We're going out of Baltimore in April for 16 days. It's addictive for most people.
We heard it was rougher than normal. Where will you sail to in April?
@@LessJunkMoreJourney SE Coast and Bahamas. It's two 8 night cruises so a back to back. One leg goes to Charleston and one to Coco Cay. Both go to Port Canaveral and Nassau and Freeport Grand Bahamas. Glad you enjoyed yours.
The weather will be great in April!
@@LessJunkMoreJourneyI’m praying that the weather will be nice as we are going in April…our first and sooo excited! 🚢⚓️
Not Corey on formal night with the flip flops 😂😂😂😂😂😂 Classic
😂😂😂
You guys look great in formal attire!
Thank you so much.
We just got off a 7 day cruise out of Port Canaveral love cruising! Smaller ships are better for crowds. Marisa loved your pants on embarkation day and yes I over pack too!
😀😂😂
Will and Jen!
Thanks for another great video! Ps…Is FOS on a hiatus?
They are still making videos. Take a look. www.youtube.com/@FindingOurSomeday
Get the sea bands for nausea! They works great! Didn’t have to take anything orally!
Where did you park your rig? We thought you couldn’t park in a site an go away for 8 days. I would love to do this!
Some places you can park and leave, it all depends on the park.
When you first got on the ship i seen will from matts rv review i think
nooo.... He called out sick last week from work! There is no way that was him
😂😂😂
We went to Alaska on a ship with 1900 guests and I thought it was too peoply. That looked crazy! 😂 good video; we gave you a shout out on our “RV TH-cam Channels to watch.” 👍
Never done a cruise but would be willing to try.. Maybe kids at Grandma's first😅
Cruisin= get your human fix
RV'n= get your Nature fix....
Life is grand and the kids will always remember!!
The first cruise I took, it felt like we were dining and dashing all the time. It was just strange to me.
I think Marissa should have gone on the basketball court and showed the boys how it's done. I don't think cruises are for me and I know they're not for my wife but I'm glad you guys had fun. Keep the good stuff coming and give the kids a hug for me.
Just remember, it takes longer to walk from the stern the bow than bow to the stern.🤔🤔🤔
Avoid elevators 1st day only as they are delivering bags to rooms. Otherwise, elevators are recommended!!
We tried to take the stairs as much as possible to get some exercise 😅
We love cruising! So did you have to make arrangements to keep your RV at a campground while you’re on the boat?
Yes that is what we did.
