If you have privacy concerns, I think it's worth reaching out to Epic. They're a conscientious and careful company in my experience, and I'm pretty sure they have very good lawyers who want them to be absolutely compliant.

Their is no character to the games. their's missions, things to do, combat, technical expertise, etc, etc......but this is what they are lacking. Every video of Rebel Galaxy and Rebel Galaxy Outlaw i watch comes with attitude, intention, an air of mystery, and the unforseen decisions of citizens in their universe........even an NPC doesn't have to behave like an NPC, They can have motives, backgrounds, grudges, vendettas, not just doing their dutiful jobs dutifully with no......CHARACTER. ugh, I LOVE IT and i want MORE OF IT even more, I want to see "Vegeta Plays Rebel Galaxy" and "Rebel Galaxy Outlaw" there can be no better fitting playthrough series. DENY TO MY FACE THAT HIS VOICE FITS THIS PERFECTLY! I DARE YOU! DENY IT!

If that's how big a Militia Dreadstar is... oh boy. Much as I love Rebel Galaxy's broadside combat, I've had the longest itch for a starfighter game, and having seen the gameplay for this I think this'll finally scratch it.
I like the theme, cool music, but.. story wise/pacing, what was up with our characters decisions? Did she really only have one round in her gun? Who goes on a bounty like that? The trailer seems backwards.. Like ship dog fight, crash landing for both of them, THEN she goes hunting him... That'd made more sense. Surprised its not coming to the Xbox1X, but hey I have a ps4 as well, I'll give it a shot.
Juno's pretty badass here, but that huge guy is TOUGH. I wouldn't get up that easily after a gunshot bores a 1/4-inch trench into the top of my skull. I'd be lucky if I wake up in what passes for a hospital on that planet.

Going to be on Epic store for the first 12 months and then to Steam after that. yes it is going to be moddable, they are even going to release mod tools for it some time after the game releases. They are using a highly customized Ogre3d engine.

I did the first. It's a cheap and easy Elite Dangerous game but with a good storyline and addictive gameplay. there are quite a few ships. I've never tried that one.
There are planetside stations and you can land, but there's no atmospheric flight. Navigating locations when landed is like collections of scenes, Privateer/Freelancer style, with conversations - but no direct walking around.
One of the most immersive experiences I have tried is a free demo called 'AirCar' on the Oculus Rift, I felt like I was IN the middle of a blade runner movie, it was breathtaking. It's a shame a game like this will not be getting VR as cockpit games are amazing.
I've tried it ALL , with the lowest discomfort experiences available - I've got Vive and Oculus - and tried the newest nicest stuff. After about 20 minutes I have to have a lie-down and my desire to return heads into the heavy negative :) It ain't for lack of trying!

She walks into a bar looking for a guy( a bounty I'm guessing), he gets the drop on her, but she shoots him in the head. When he doesn't die she just runs away? Why? Why did her gun only have one bullet? It should have been him running away after seeing the gun and her chasing after him(presumably missing her shots) and then they go up into space and dogfight.
Just found out about this when I went to reinstall the first game on Steam. So stoked! I prefer fighters to capital ships, but the first game was great! Hopefully we will be able to add custom soundtracks like in the first game (which had an awesome soundtrack, but once I'd played it enough to get old, it was awesome to be able to sub in some Cowboy Bebop tunes, which also fit the setting just right.)
You might want to clarify that the game doesn't have spacelegs. That all interaction with the gameworld outside of your ship is through menus like in the first game. That this trailer doesn't imply a FPS or 3rd person action part of the game.
This game never had spacelegs, it doesn't need them. On the website they say "simulation is not our thing: EXPLOSIONS are". It's clear, no legs, but a fun, mayhem experience.
You can explore space-stations and the like but not freely .. you can navigate through menus and see your character interacting with the characters there.

I've learned it the hard way. They can make the most insane things imaginable. Yet iа there is no honesty in them - their projects fail. Space Rangers, Everlasting Summer, World of Warcraft, Diablo(you'd know)... I hope you guys stay independent and focused on the goal of just making great games. Then, slow and steady, you'll do better than the rest. And even if it won't be mine, or somebody else's childhood dream - it's still going to be a dream come true.
Guys I am so excited for this. I love LOVED slugging it out with massive weapons of destruction. I have literally never played another ship to ship combat I loved more. Thank you for the amazing game and I cant wait for the next one. :) Edit: ugh :/ just went and found some pax west footage. So its gone from big beautiful capital ships slugging it out to just another fighter cockpit sim :( I'm really disappointed.
I'd just say give it a chance :) It feels pretty different from other cockpit sims I think. But it may not be your bag either! There will be a 1hr walkthrough on Thursday and you can get a better idea if it's for you.
