Hi guys that countryside is just stunning and the bird song is like being in a beautiful dream peacefully cruising along without a care in the world. Great little system you have there passing the shopping through the window straight into the kitchen fabulous. I saw somewhere there was some vandalism to a cemetery and 12 canal boats were broken into awhile back and I instantly thought of you two. Hey guys. I really like the woodwork inside y'all's boat. I enjoy working with wood so it kind of stand out to me. Ok, as far as the map... personally, I enjoy keeping up with where you are in your travels. Maybe it's just a guy thing.🤷♂ But I noticed in a few comments that some didn't really care for it, and I can see where it could be a bit distracting. My 2 cents for what it's worth (not much...lol), I would keep doing the initial map overview of where you will be traveling in the video and maybe show where you are on the map down in the corner in short intervals during the video, like at points of interests, bridges, aqueducts... just to give an idea of where you are along the journey. Oh, if you could make it a little smaller, that would probably be better as well. Thanks for another one guys.
Beautiful cruise, I love hearing the birds singing! I agree that the map showing all of the time is distracting, I like having you refer to it periodically, but not all the time. Living vicariously through you & Martin...narrowboats are fascinating!!

Hi Neil, what lovely comments, thank you! I can see how it looked as though the boat was open, but it was all locked up. The side hatch doors were open, but there was a Perspex window panel in place from the inside and all the doors were locked. We wouldn’t normally leave our boat open, unless there was someone to watch it for us. You never know who is around! Thanks Neil xx

It’s been fun watching your vlog. We are RVers but have enjoyed watching narrow boating. Your map on our big screen doesn’t is mostly a boat following a black line on a map. To really see it I had to stand at the tv. We’d prefer to see what’s behind it. But we’ll be watching either way.

I do like the map but not onscreen all of the time. If you could just put it up every once in awhile to show progress it would be better in my estimation. It is useful but takes too much real estate to have up all the time and I don't think having it smaller would help that much either. I'd still wonder what happens in the part I can't see. 🙂 The birds sound wonderful. The highways not so much. 😊 It is a lovely canal even with the noisy traffic. ❤

Hi guys Good video again , have you been up to Scotland on the canals there, my partner and I went to see the Falkirk wheel a few years ago she is Thai and has never seen narrow boats in the canals so we all aid for the 45 minute trip on the wheel out at the top through the tunnel then turned around back through the tunnel and down the wheel again , we both enjoyed it and bought a book about it and she uses the book in her teaching job , my one and only time on a canal ,we also went to fort Augustus and let her see the boats coming through the locks there and going into Loch Ness , I’m enjoying your travels through the countryside, all the best from tropical Thailand Regards Davy 🏴🇹🇭

Hi ya The idea of the map is good. The placement is a distraction. Im not sure if you could stretch it across the bottom of the screen which could help in seeing it clearer and still seeing the awesome scenery. Im not sure if my idea is practical. Thanks for a great vid. Happy weekend to you both😊

I have watched and enjoyed a number of your vlogs. I personally don't enjoy the map being on the screen the whole time. My reasons are as follows; it spoils some of the views, it has to be landscape but north/south travel is portrait and boat is relatively huge.
Thank you for your feedback Mike, we won’t be using the map on the screen full time, just at the beginning to show where our journey is, we have done two more videos since this one and have left the map off. It was a trial and most people agree with yourself, thank you so much! xx
Love your videos always beautiful scenery. That map gets in the way and is distracting. You always do a great job at telling us your planned route then updating us along the way. There’s no need for the map.

How do you add it to the address for Tesco etc. They always want a postcode. Love your videos, by the way. I can't believe you don't get more viewers. You are so good at putting them together. We have watched you from the start of your journeys. 😊
Hi Helen, what I tend to do is put in the nearest address to where we are with postcode, then click ‘edit’ to edit the address, you can then put a bridge number, or car park etc and then in the ‘messages’ section, I usually write something like: We live on a narrowboat and this is the nearest road bridge to where we are moored. Please call 07xxx xxxxxx twenty minutes before so we can walk up to meet you, what3words etc They always call and often are used to delivering to the canals Hope this helps xx

The map detail is too small to be of any use and it blocks a good portion of the view. Also, I prefer the natural sounds rather than loud music. Keep up the good work!

Beautiful cruise, I love hearing the birds singing! I agree that the map showing all of the time is distracting, I like having you refer to it periodically, but not all the time. Living vicariously through you & Martin...narrowboats are fascinating!!

Hi Neil, what lovely comments, thank you! I can see how it looked as though the boat was open, but it was all locked up. The side hatch doors were open, but there was a Perspex window panel in place from the inside and all the doors were locked. We wouldn’t normally leave our boat open, unless there was someone to watch it for us. You never know who is around! Thanks Neil xx

It’s been fun watching your vlog. We are RVers but have enjoyed watching narrow boating. Your map on our big screen doesn’t is mostly a boat following a black line on a map. To really see it I had to stand at the tv. We’d prefer to see what’s behind it. But we’ll be watching either way.

I do like the map but not onscreen all of the time. If you could just put it up every once in awhile to show progress it would be better in my estimation. It is useful but takes too much real estate to have up all the time and I don't think having it smaller would help that much either. I'd still wonder what happens in the part I can't see. 🙂 The birds sound wonderful. The highways not so much. 😊 It is a lovely canal even with the noisy traffic. ❤

Good video again , have you been up to Scotland on the canals there, my partner and I went to see the Falkirk wheel a few years ago she is Thai and has never seen narrow boats in the canals so we all aid for the 45 minute trip on the wheel out at the top through the tunnel then turned around back through the tunnel and down the wheel again , we both enjoyed it and bought a book about it and she uses the book in her teaching job , my one and only time on a canal ,we also went to fort Augustus and let her see the boats coming through the locks there and going into Loch Ness , I’m enjoying your travels through the countryside, all the best from tropical Thailand

I have watched and enjoyed a number of your vlogs.
I personally don't enjoy the map being on the screen the whole time. My reasons are as follows; it spoils some of the views, it has to be landscape but north/south travel is portrait and boat is relatively huge.
Thank you for your feedback Mike, we won’t be using the map on the screen full time, just at the beginning to show where our journey is, we have done two more videos since this one and have left the map off. It was a trial and most people agree with yourself, thank you so much! xx
Love your videos always beautiful scenery. That map gets in the way and is distracting. You always do a great job at telling us your planned route then updating us along the way. There’s no need for the map.

Have you ever used watt 3 words for delivery address.?
Hi Brian, yes, if the location is very rural, or a bridge, then we often put the What 3 words in the notes section when we place our order, it’s good isn’t it! Thanks Brian xx
How do you add it to the address for Tesco etc. They always want a postcode. Love your videos, by the way. I can't believe you don't get more viewers. You are so good at putting them together. We have watched you from the start of your journeys. 😊
Hi Helen, what I tend to do is put in the nearest address to where we are with postcode, then click ‘edit’ to edit the address, you can then put a bridge number, or car park etc and then in the ‘messages’ section, I usually write something like:
We live on a narrowboat and this is the nearest road bridge to where we are moored. Please call 07xxx xxxxxx twenty minutes before so we can walk up to meet you, what3words etc
They always call and often are used to delivering to the canals

The map detail is too small to be of any use and it blocks a good portion of the view. Also, I prefer the natural sounds rather than loud music. Keep up the good work!
