@mrbillybob444 it was unplayable in the day of release, i tried matchmaking 15 times or so, and in all of them servers kept crashing. i would like to play it if its fixed now, but they ban people that talk about it in discord so i can't knoe
Well, since they already went total non-realistic and made T-14 or Su-57 numerous and comparable to real working vehicles, I'd say nuclear escalation is in the same garden of 'not going to happen' XD
That opening was brutal lol, just your planes pouncing on helicopters like lions. Also "The TOR is just going to keep firing, look at it go" - the timing on that as the TOR immediately gets blown up by an ATGM was impeccable lol
I have to say this game is absolute cinema, had a match where I pushed a guy out of three points and he sent wave after wave of Vdv airdrops into the forests at the back points and my few squads of marines had to hold them off till the rest of my armour could come by. 🗿
@@imakro69 Well I did manage to hold the three points me and the guy I was facing were fighting for, but let's just say the rest of the team wasnt doing so great lol.
Honestly, I'm liking the game. I am really interested in modern Chinese faction that might come in it in the future because not many games like this have Chinese units.
Agreed, I'm hoping for Italy and France also. Quote from a Developer posted 9 Jun, 2021. Hello, the game will feature USA and Russia at release (2022) and we didn't confirm any additional nation yet. (Let's finish the game first ! :D ) But it's obvious that China is one of the biggest contenders for the first DLC.

Love the broken arrow vids, I just started this playtest and am loving the game so much so far in the 6 hours ive sunk into it. Your videos are very helpful in showing me how to learn the game better, it can be a little intimidating because of the unit variety even though ive played lots of warthunder and games of that sort. This feels like the RTS game ive been waiting for over a decade to see honestly, im a big fan so far. I didnt even know it existed until the other day I was reading up on warno and saw this come out with a playtest, what timing it was lol.
Your opponents are some of the worst players I've ever seen. This was a really good video to show people what not to do. They made almost every mistake in the book. I bet you taught them allot of lessons.
Air, Ballistic and Cruise missile and AA depth management is the quite fresh in the RTT. Broken Arrow looks like added such managements one of first who these in the nonsimulator games.
The best nuke in any game was in World in conflict, "no hope" mod. It lagged out entire pc and it wiped out entire map, making it cloudy and dark. Man, i miss this game
I must say, this game does look great. There is a lot of attention given to the terrain, and the weather effects are a nice touch. I just wish my crappy PC could actually run it at higher settings.
20:12 might have been an accident. I played my first game yesterday and towards the end I found my Paladins that I kept shooting and scooting at the back of the map all game leading a bayonet charge towards the enemy. I just barely managed to save 2 out of three. I guess when I was sending my Marines there I still had the Paladins selected without noticing and accidentally ordered them to move there.
I wonder if they'll introduce the stealth helo for the U.S. it would be fantastic for inserting either at beginning of round or for scouts. I guess they could make it decently expensive to call to balance it.
If I had to guess, I'd say the other team might have been hoping to bait your fighters into that AA net, like what we see at 4:22. Clearly didn't have enough at the start though
I’ve used 3 nukes so far. First cleared a point 2 players were grouping on the second 2 were flex’s at the end of the game at their tank pushes and arty

Life before finding out this game has Russian bias 🌎 Life after finding out this game has Russian bias 🌎 in conclusion, who cares, looks like an amazing game and I'm excited to play it!!!
@@lolifico_banzago i think it may be due to expecting russian tech to be crap based on IRL events. Then they face russian tech in-game and it's unexpectedly good because it's not plagued with all the problems of their IRL counterparts so it seems like they're getting artificially buffed. at least that's my view on it, on-paper russian tech is actually pretty scary if a bit technologically behind compared to the US, it's just held back massively IRL due to half of it being non-functional and too expensive to repair, then used poorly. ...and always compared directly to the US which has an infinite budget, so expectations are "it's crude and inferior" by default to some extent
The problem with the Russian military, afaik, is not their lack of tech, but the fact that they are facing 21st century tactics with Cold War-era tactics, and also the fact that shitfaced Ivan in charge of logistics just can't do his fucking job properly
'They have no chance against SEAD' Yeah of course they had no chance, they didn't even deploy fighters. Straight up just gave the Russians air superiority the whole game for free
Might be to balance things? IRL US combat doctrine does not utilize tactical Nukes, if they need Nukes, they would deliver it via ICBMs or a retarded dumb bomb like in game. In the game, when making loadouts, the US has access to 2500 air deck points of which Russia only has 1250, it takes 1000 pts to use a nuke so the US has extra points to use for it.
Different in doctrine, Tomahawk can carry tactical nuke payload but US doctrine phase that role out, those droppable nuke are all that left, US nuclear arsenal are more focus on first and retaliation strike so ICBM and precision munitions. Russian on the other hand consider tactical nuke to be another component in their artillery arsenal. And they have not been truthful at all about their Cruise Missile development to skirt around START treaty with US. It has been speculated that Russian short range Ballistic Missile and Cruise Missile to be capable of arming with tactical nuke whenever they want to.
@@GiangNg320 I would say its interesting investing milions to bilions for nuke development for missles that have less range and payload compared to ICBMs but can/would only be used durring a nuclear war
Because US nuclear capabilities have atrophied massively since the end of the Cold War. It may not always seem that way but the US government DOES try to cut down on military spending, and one of the major ways they do that is by trimming away at the nuclear arsenal so that there's more money in the budget for conventional weapons and they meet nuclear arms treaty requirements. The result is that just about all the tactical nukes in US inventory are free-fall bombs, mostly because of sheer numbers. Even during the Cold War most US tactical nukes were dumb bombs because the generals in charge had a big fetish for manned bomber planes which persisted pretty much all the way through to the 1990s. There were artillery-deployed and stand-off munitions as well, but those were never really in the same numbers so when the Cold War ended and nuclear stockpiles had to start going down (because of both arms control treaties and shrinking budgets), the fancy stand-off tactical nukes were the first to go. Russia on the other hand inherited a massive stockpile of stand-off tactical nukes from the Soviet Union, which went hard into nuclear tipped cruise and ballistic missiles thanks to Nikita Khrushchev's infamous fetish for rocket and missile weapons. This meant that there were more stand-off tactical nukes than free-fall ones in the Russian inventory, so the stand-off ones ended up getting left over once their stockpile reduction started (it may not seem that way but the Russian government DID take nuclear arms treaties seriously, if only for similar reasons to why the US and British Empire used to take naval arms treaties seriously). Russia also never really skimped out on modernising their nuclear arsenal, because the Russian government recognises it's a good way to make sure Russia never gets invaded again. The result is that just about all the tactical nukes in Russian inventory are screwed onto the end of various missiles.
This game disappoints me more and more. It's beautiful ok, but there is practically no impact on the ground for explosions and artillery shells, there is no destruction of buildings (or if there is I have not seen them), there is no outbreak of fire in wooded areas etc, it is this kind of detail that makes the difference between a game and a very good game. We wonder why they delay it every time, there is no change except perhaps optimization.
I'd agree at times the maps feel flat, no deformation from the bombs or artillery (likely frames hold that back) but blowing up a high rise building is spectacular.
Is it really fun to play like that? The opponent has no chance... they can't even get to their feet. You can see experienced players playing against beginners there. I also don't watch a fight between a professional boxer and an 8 year old boy. The problem is that NATO needs the Patriots to fend off the nukes. But they have no chance against Seat. This was one of the first few matches I played. Three points though; I can't control who I play against in the matchmaking, the video is focusing on the units and the fun not winning and finally, NATO radar AA is more than adequate if you use Pivads and Shorads. Try being a glass half full :)
