Watch their chemistry...their fun..I am absolutely loving this!!!! This show is phenomenal!!! The way all the artists take songs and transform them with so much respect for the music!!! And as you so clearly stated...the band and often also backing vocals elevate the performances to a absolute astromical level!!!! So much better than many music programs on tv nowadays.

Out of this season are to recommend Thania with the power of love and Margherita, Brace with Ave Maria, Maan with Nessun Dorma and Anita Meijer with one of the most beautiful Dutch songs Flink Zijn and Somewhere from the Westside Story. The most successful song of the Beste Zangers is Julia Zahra with Just a illusion a very old song of the Dutch band BZN this song is covered more than 100 times after the performance of Julia on de Beste Zangers.
Every year there were outstanding performances. Remember 2011 when Glennis Grace flabbergasted everyone with her performance of the song Afscheid. They released it on single and it speeded up to the top of the charts.

I would recommend again now Tania Kross with Margherita, or Maria Fiselier (also female soprano vocalist) with Eminem cover Lose your self. An operatic singer doing rap, complete out of her comfort zone, how crazy. And yes, again Beste Zangers with The Marcel Fisser Band. And of course Og3ne also participated .......
Yay, you finally got around to reacting to this great version of that epic piece by Montserrat and Freddie. Just like the original, their voices are very different but fit together perfectly, Tania has that gorgeous Opera voice and Tommie has that rasp we all love and that makes a amazing combination of flavor and texture to the song. Tania is a great lady, fun-loving and a little bit silly on top of being a truly nice person as well. (same pretty much can be said about Tommie) I love this version, and that while i am one of those "purist types" when it comes to songs sang by Freddie Mercury. To me its quite simple, if you're going to do a Freddie song.. you better nail it and nail it harder than anything before because i will compare to the original and... well if Freddie is the original... you got yourself a bit of a mountain to climb, but Tommie... very different compared to Freddie but he seriously nailed it for me. And Tania... ofc she can do Montserrat justice, Tania is an incredible Opera singer with a classic but warm tone to her voice, i absolutely adore her. Last thing i'll add, this is one of THOSE! songs, it sounds like most singers should be able to do this.. until they try and find out that its a very difficult song to perform, especially the male part of it.
