Pelicans fan here. If (and only if) we can acquire Topic or Shepperd, I think this deal can be placed. We definitely need young, talented main handler who can read the game.
The Pistons make a ton of sense when you consider the former Pelicans GM Trajan Langdon is now the PBO of the pistons. The pistons badly need a star next to cade and both him and BI share the same agent. A trade with Ivey, Stewart and #5 or Duren and #5 should intrigued the Pelicans FO at least. Get back young pieces and a draft pick to continue to build around zion. Also allowing the pelicans to be able to have more cap flexibility moving forward.
@chrisflo24 it's not about what BI wants but the best trade package for the pels. This allows them to build around zion for the present and the future. Adding a Murray or Garland doesn't make the pels championship contenders in the west. But adding young talent can at least put the pels in a position to build a young, affordable, and sustainable team for the present and future.
