    This is an excellent breakdown of Ingram as a player, though I'd wish you put in a few things about his defense and maybe how he upped his game in the play-ins and playoffs last year and currently over their last 8 game stretch.
    This is important as his efficiency has shot up immensely, his decisionmaking has tightened and his overall production has increased, while his turnovers are decreased. He's averaging 30 points on 50-40-90 splits (comfortably over that actually) over the last 8 games, with 8.5 assists and 6 rebounds. Even his defense has been better, as is the team's defense.
    Thanks for making this, I hope you don't mind the added info.

    the thing is he never stop to get better, maybe it’s not that many like in his early lakers time, from season to season, but the tendency of him getting better at the and of the season it’s a good thing in my opinion, because he is smart and can realise what he can do better

      and as always it’s never that perfect, i think he is super talented, super creative and hard working guy, but something about him is to old school, he is like Melo in NY Kniks, iso iso iso iso, but Ingram got passing and of ball movement, but he never got that opportunity since ball always in his hands

      @pinobluevogel6458 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@SinLuX2 Ingram is only playing a lot of iso if they really need a bucket, or at the end of the shotclock. I think he is slightly better than Melo as a scorer, as he can comfortably shoot over defenders, or hit fallaways like he's the second coming of Kobe. However he is also a top level playmaker and a better defender. Having his size, workethic and basketball IQ, he has improved every season and still is. Melo is a gifted player and a huge scoring machine, but he does not hold a candle to Ingram.

      He is the #1 option on the team, the only time he wasn't, was when he was was injured and Zion took over. A team with either of them is good enough to make the playoffs, as long as the rest of the team is healthy. With both of them healthy, they are very hard to stop, not to mention TM3 did make another huge jump last year, he will probably be even better in the upcoming season.

      His stamina is limited. Also, that lack of strength and elite athleticism.

    • @pinobluevogel6458
      @pinobluevogel6458 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@PiracyAgreement His strength I feel is no longer an issue, unless you want a player that is made of steel like Kawhi or a young Lebron. He is a great finisher through contact and I think he improved on that aspect quite a lot over the last 2 seasons.
      I can get the stamina thing, he seems to use a lot of energy when he's on the court. He is never coasting through plays, like some other very good offensive players tend to do. It is rare that I see him on the bench and not really need the rest.
      Maybe it will improve, maybe it will keep that way.
      Lastly, I'm not at all fussed about athleticism. It will make sure he will keep being able to play his game into way after his prime. Some of the best players in the league aren't very athletic. (Jokic, Luka) His game is so complete and impactful without it and it is not something he is going to improve on anyway.

    Personally during his 1st 3 years, I thought he had the potential to have the best traits of the 3 best forwards at the time. The scoring of KD, Passing of Lebron, and Kawhi's defense. Right now I think he's not in his prime yet which is gonna be scary

    • @pinobluevogel6458
      @pinobluevogel6458 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think he is a little behind KD as a pure shooter and quite close to LeBron in playmaking and much behind Kawhi as a defender. (especially if we are talking about a healhty Kawhi)
      However, the combination of all of those factors makes for a really versatile and intriguing player that is unique in the league.
      LeBron definitely worked on his threepointshooting, but he still isn't a true shooter like Ingram is that can shoot off the dribble from anywhere on the court, KD is an okay playmaker but can't make instant reads and pinpoint accuracy passes and Kawhi isn't much better than KD in that aspect, nor is he as versatile as a shooter, he is just superefficient from his spots and hard to bump off his shot.
      From what we've seen so far in the 2 games this year, Ingram has been used in a different way. His shot selection has been better and that is the plan moving forward. If most of his shots can come at the rim (where he is excellent) or from the threepoint line (where he has been excellent in the past at volume), Ingram is going to unlock as a player more adapted to today's NBA and a better fit next to Zion.

      @@johnpaulgonzalez9016 Great points. People seem to forget about BI and then he slowly drifts back into the general player rankings, until he starts to play again consistantly and they have to give him his dues.
      At least on the floor you see the massive respect he gets, drawing double teams against most teams, sometimes triple teams. This creates a lot of possiblities for the Pelicans to have open shots, just like with Zion when he runs into a wall of players.
