      Shannon's right. George can make the money anywhere. On top of the big payday he can play for a better team that has a chance to win. OKC was lucky that series even went 7 games. Utah owned them.

    Okc made a huge mistake trading young 25 year old Kanter for 33 year old Melo who does nothing but shoot bricks

      YES. That trade is severely underrated in terms of biggest BUST trades of the year lmao. Kanter might be limited athletically and defensively, but he was a match made in heaven for Russ. He sets hard screens and is one of the best "diving" big men in the NBA. He is automatic around the rim and got so many easy buckets for OKC. Stupid, stupid trade.

      Melo gets so much hate but they changed this man's whole playing style to compliment Russ's ball hogging. Russ and Donavan are the problem. You can't be a me first PG and the fact that he has a blank check, OKC has a monster they can't contain. Hardin, KD, now PG among others have bounced and moved up, Russ is the issue.

      James Biggins that has nothing to do with him missing shots

    • @WhatsBiggin
      @WhatsBiggin 6 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      Yes it does. Iso players need to get in a rhythm. PG needs the ball to create for himself. He is a 6'10 guard that is either standing and waiting for a pass late in the clock, or he is watching westbrook ball shoot. That is not getting into a rhythm. PG went off in the first 2 games because he had the ball and was creating for himself. That stopped when Westbrook made the series about him vs Donavan Mitchell and Rubio...

    I'm the biggest Russell Westbrook fan in the world and I'm Knicks fan. I blame the coaching for the most part okay. Yes Russell was ball dominated I get that but I saw him trying to get others involved and didn't produce. PG-13 should stayed. I'm not excoriating Westbrook but the head coach does deserve majority of the blame

      The Xman look who Westbrook had his whole career with different coaches Harden, Oladipo, Sabonis, Kanter, Ibaka, Dion Waiters, Reggie Jackson , Melo. PG13 and KD all players who left him and became better players and players who came to play with him their game goes down a couple of notches.

      @starwizzy9426 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      kharis87 how's that going to work when Russ is in love with triple doubles. You ain't getting a triple dub night it and night out playing off ball. Them assists ain't gonna add up.

    • @kharis87
      @kharis87 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mike S If LeBron mixes up his style of play he will lengthen his career but I doubt he will presently. LeBron and Westbrook don't look comfortable off the ball cause they want to be in control. It's just that LeBron is the way smarter player.

      kharis87 its because they both cant shoot 😂 you cant be effective off ball if you cant shoot both russ and james need to dribble the ball and drives to the rim to build thier rhythm before they start shooting.. imagine lebron and russ as catch and shoot players 😭

      Lil Lit lebron isnt a winner his 3-5 finals record proves that he is however a team hopper who stacked his team with all stars and all time great 3 pt shooters which resulted in 3 wins in 8 appearances. Even a broken clock is right twice a day.

      I watched the game, but this is one of the times the box score told basically the whole story. Russ shot a million times and when PG go the ball he did nothing. Russ barely passed. Melo was benched and barely got a chance. Is that not what happened?

    Shannon has been a RussHATER from Day ONE even when He was set to win the MVP award almost 2 Seasons ago. Victor Oladipo has CREDITED Russ in Interviews for Helping him become the ALPHA Leader that He was this season with the Pacers. Everything Positive Russ has achieved Without KD Shannon has turned it into a Negative. ALOT of ya'll NEED to REwatch KD's MVP speech in 2014. Skip was ONPoint in this Video. WHY is Russ getting ALL the Blame for their Loss in this series when Paul George and especially Melo DId NOT Bring their AGames against the Jazz themselves. Last time that I Checked Basketball ESP the NBA Playoffs is a TEAM effort. Russ gave it his ALL in this Series and Left it ALL on the Court. KD LEFT Russ without Warning after CHOKING Himself in a Playoff series against the Warriors when they were UP 3-1.

I watched him shoot like 500 open 3s this year and brick dang near every one of them. he still has a post game that is effective but modern NBA thinks the post is a waste.

    He can leave. OKC does not 'need' him. He won't save the (L)akers either! OKC should get Khawi! Just my opinion though.

    Russ and George are two different players I don’t think one year is enough time to really gauge their potential together. An extra year will go along way especially since they will be getting Roberson back next year to help George defensively. His lost this year was very crucial he could of minimized the damage Mitchell was doing.

    What Skip is saying is probably a true assessment of Paul George and a role better suited for him, but there's no reason for PG13 to accept that as his fate when half the teams in the league would love to have him as their #1. In my opinion, while I agree with Skip that he is better suited as a #2 option, if Paul George has the opportunity to get #1 caliber money and responsibility on another team, he should take it while his stock is still pretty high around the league

    Tbh he should run it back one more year. With roberson they make it out of the first round. Also buyout melo if u look at the stats with melo off the court they are a better team without him. U could also sign kanter back or someone of that skillset if u do. Another thing is terrance ferguson could be a huge x factor because he is a good shooter who is a good defender and will only get better

  • @Saylin021

    i still dont get people who say Russell cares only about stats and not about winning, and then go on about 18/43. Obviously he cares more about winning than stats if he is willing to shoot that much just to keep okc in the game? he knows he will be inefficient, and he knows everyone will talk about it the next day, yet he still does it bc he wants to win more than getting stats and he was the only thing keeping them close to the jazz that game

    If I were the Lakers I am offering George Paul the Minimum for 2 years, and ensuring that he comes off the bench as like the 8th man backing up Brandon Ingram. When a guy shoots 12.5% from the field, you have to make sure you are able to mask him in the offense. I see George Paul as a taller Andre Roberson, with worst shooting.

    The sad thing about OKC - and media members like Shannon - is they undervalue Steven Adams. If anything, that's the real reason PG should leave: OKC still encourages the worst in Westbrook - even though it cost them KD. Now they're wasting Steve's time for the same reason: Steve's got excellent footwork. He's got surprisingly good touch - he could actually be a quality three point shooter with the right mechanics. And has anyone in OKC taken notice that Steve's actually a very talented passer? He plays with a clear mind, and sees things unfold - despite being forced to rush getting rid of the ball because he's surrounded by ball hogs - especially Russ.
