I like the polaroid cube+ for this its magnetic and people tend to ignore it even when its obvious because everyone has cams in their house now. Its my "fly on the wall" or so I call it.
Interesting to watch. But considering its a DIY, I find it really strange that you leave out the soldering part. Kind of important for those who want to replicate it :)
Sweet little build dude! Wasn't too long to be boring. I think it was perfect. Suggestion/idea/request for a future build? A portable storage device that you can dump sd cards on to then load onto PC when you get home. What do you think?
I love these kinds of project but were i live i cant get most of those things, so u could show were 2 get them first example disassembling an old dvd or radio & dissect the things u need and take it from there that would really be helpful 4 people like me
Take a look at my wireless camera project, I built. The only issue I have was the protocol the Camera manufacturer uses, it proprietary, so trying to capture the video is almost impassible. Any sugggestions?
Don, you are like the MacGyver of computers....chewing gum, paper clip, NiCad battery and you can build a HAL 9000. Amazing. Keep it up...extremely interesting. Cheers!
SteamOS is compiled for a x86 / 64 CPU: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SteamOS. The Raspberry Pi 3 is a Armv8 CPU, so it won't run on RPi unfortunately. In fact to run SteamOS you will need a CPU that is either Intel or AMD as these are the most commonly supported chipsets that support x86 / 64. Depending on the games you want to play, your best bet would be a cheap NUC or a Compute stick such as: www.ebuyer.com/729658-intel-compute-stick-boxstk1aw32sc?mkwid=s_dc&pcrid=51482417219&pkw=&pmt=&gclid=CjwKCAjwma3ZBRBwEiwA-CsblDMmbpjnNXIf7WT-jmSwNgQ0RBsdCZzDF94H-nwsN0jyonJk3BVcMhoCEfkQAvD_BwE
He meant so you can monitor your room to make sure room service or anyone else that walks into your room when your not there is not stealing your shit. I don't think he is taking any hoes to the telie to smash he is married lol .
I ordered two of them about a year ago and never received it. I tried to get my money back but never received a reply from the company. I Googled the name of the company I tried to buy them through, only to find that many people had been ripped off by them.
I've had very good service with Amazon. A few times, they didn't even ask me to return the product. But, I had that kind of a problem with Monoprice.com. I'd done business with them for years, then, all of the sudden, they could not fulfill orders. I suspect that they had a change in management. I was going to research the company I ordered the spy cameras from and post it here. Some gadgets.com. I tried to recover my cost through my Visa company, but, was told I waited too late. I thought that there may have been a shortage in the product, so I was giving the company a chance to fulfill the order.
Ah! The company's name was Hahagadgets.com. I guess I should have know better than to send money to a company with that name. Undoubtedly, I responded to an advertisement on Facebook. Well, I don't do FB anymore.
Don , → 5below.com . That tiny mic on the end of pcb (tiny black circle smaller than a button) should have been capturing the sound unless you turned off audio. I'd hit that store 5below they have all types of bluetooth and power banks to play with all 5 bucks and below. They basically have everything in there audio , charge , some video stuff in Commack right next to where guitar center is or was by the target. If you want to play with your new soldering iron and not worry about effing up expensive things you can created some cool projects. They make their items very easy to get apart no glue no screws they basically know your going to hack it up. If you go online you can order in bulk from china with cheap shipping in reasonable time frame but its better to just walk in the store.
I like your idea a lot but, you're not actually showing the steps by steps needed for us to really follow your doing and not showing close up that we can see in details you're doing well but we don't have your knowledge on the training ground. Guillermo from the Dominican Republic.

One minor detail....LiPo's are 3.7v while 18650's are 4.2v.
Incorrect
18650 are 3.7
18650s are 4.2v fully charged. They have a nominal voltage of 3.7v.
