I got the outdoor mounting kit for them and they were easy to install. Once you download the app, it walks you through the very easy set up. The clarity, and range is awesome. Get all their stuff etc out of the rooms and change the locks to keep those residents out for not paying rent or threaten, etc It's the owner's properties, not residents'

U should've shown how well it records with regular indoor lighting. I bought a pen/cam a couple of years ago and it recorded horribly indoors. I might buy this though.

Yes, a red light that becomes visible when the camera needs to be reset to get the light to go away.
But by then, it’s too late,
you have been busted by your stupid device that emits a red light.
I have one and plugged into my AC outlet, only shows from about the waist down. Need some kind of a stiff AC cord to point it up a little.
I had some trouble setting mine up, but if it is recording to the SD card, it’s pretty wild how many features it has for under 30 bucks. I was scared to plug in the USB micro SD adapter. But it’s got really good quality and a lot more features than I thought were possible in something that cheap makes me worry.

I have some of these, not the wifi. Got 3 of them of ebay for 20 a pop. I don't know about the wifi version, but the ones I have actually blew my mind with the picture clarity. The audio is awesome too. I like the motion detection function. It save you time. Overall, if anyone have a need to catch someone in the act, like my case, apartment living, this is a good investment. The only con is placement, but that can be resolve by angling a power strip on a table or on the floor filled with other plugged in electronics get an extension cord and angle the end on a table or dresser against the wall, place an ox tail on it and blend it in with household stuff. A smart thing to do is to keep these separate from expensive stuff. Don't connect a phone on it, or anything to it. I would be good as gone then. I wouldn't just put this on the wall, even if you have an outlet at eye level. This device should be blended in, not alone. I highly recommend this over an expensive radio cam or some technical hidden cam that used weird batteries. The biggest pro you will have is that this this is an AC power device. Plug and play without the technical crap that requires you to keep fiddling with it.

Baybizzle84 it has to be plugged. I use an extension cord and a power strip. With the extension cord, I added an cell phone cord to it and angle it off. Just don't leave a phone connected to it. Then it would be all stolen. Alone would be less appealing and yes. They do charge.

go to ebay and type in usb charger spy cam. There is no brand name. China is really terrible at branding thier products. Go for either one that is black and square. I don't recommend a wifi one. Thats a little too advanced for something like this...unless is is millitary grade, then you'd probably be paying 250$ a pop.
Here is an example of its capabilities. I just stepped in from work not too long ago and i discovered I was missing two out of three beers. I went to the cam and it revealed no one was in while I was gone. It was on motion so it stopped after I left then restarted 9 hours later when I returned in its line of sight. I concluded that I may have been too sauced to remember that I drank 5 out of 6 beers before bed time. Go figure. I'm my own thief. Had it plugged in for a month untouched until today. I'm pleased

OMG this is exactly the charger that was plugged into our outlet in the dining room overlooking my dining rm table. 😯🤦For weeks I stared at it so many times wondering why it looked like it should have been a double USB port and thought many times that the small lens looking area looked like a camera!!! I know you made this video a while back but I have a simple question, can I keep the device in my tool bag and have it powered up by a power bank through the USB? Or, does it absolutely have to be plugged into the wall to be powered. I figure that the USB output would be off the paint same power supply lines internally on the PC board. That's evasion of privacy if they're using inconspicuous security cameras to survey you and did not tell you what it was... Then again rules in Cancun may be different than in the US.

The only thing I don't like about it is that you have to reset the date everytime that you take it out from the outlet, and um, you have to remember that if it is plugged into a wall outlet with a high surge capacity going on, it tends to stop recording.

I bought one last wk runs on a sd mem Card great video and sound and not bad ,25$ .dont buy a 64gb sd card .cuz it only takes up to 32gb f.y.i. i also bought another mico stealth which is a cube and smaller with night vision , bit better but you ha e to charge it. Both were non Wi-Fi cams so u can put them anywhere .oh and both types of cameras with a new 64 gb sd card. Cost me 77$ for all 3 here in Canada. Hope this helps someone

One thing I’m curious about is the WiFi connection and recording, obviously from the video it looks like it starts to record once you plug it in, and also provides a live stream to see on the app on your phone. Am I right? ..... can the app notify you of movement and you can go in the app and check what’s going on? Also one thing is if someone is in the house and trying to connect to WiFi they might see the IPCamera thing right? Maybe they should’ve gave it a code name...
You should be able to change the code name yourself using your phone in settings under wifi

Obviously having it plugged in means unlimited recording but it would be really convenient if it had at least an hour of battery life to just have it casually sitting on a table or something. I thought with Wi-Fi cams, your Phone or whatever device that you are viewing the footage from have to be connected to the same network? So If you move out of the wifi range from the camera, It no longer records. Or am I wrong?

I bought one of these and was SUDPRISED to find it had wifi. I was delighted…. Now that I’m trying to find another one the seller is gone and all the ones under reasonable $30 price tag say “wifi not needed” “connection type wireless” then a big red X over wifi in the pics. Who knows?! It’s impossible to tell but I guess I’ll buy a few from different sellers and rip them off because of their copy and paste junk.
