"Yo! Earlier this year I put myself to a challenge (after 3 years of completely no production) to come back and create a quake 3 defrag run movie using content of a DFWC2014 winner Denis 'DeX' Poletaev, who is famous for his VQ3 ruleset records around the community. Even more challenging was the fact that I would have to match the expectations of CPM ruleset players, which is more popular than the VQ3 and more exciting to watch these days in my humble oppinion. In this case I separated the VQ3 and CPM content into two colors. Blue standing for VQ3 and red standing for CPM. Simple and easy to notice. Didn't want to spoil vibes with unnecesary map names and record times, so all of it is in the outro.
So there you have a non commercial project, with sounds, music and style of cuts, synch and camera angles that probably only myself could relate to. In other words, I enjoyed being creative and productive once again.
On a serious note tho, if you expect to see another typical defrag run video just to see how good the runs are, i suggest you to watch demos ingame, with a background music of your choice instead.

P.S. (by xajA): I tried to upload this movie on youtube and see what will happen. After processing i found 2 warning about UMG copyright. The first warning was about the first track which warns about blocking the audio in Germany. The second warning was about last track which warns about blocking the audio in all countries.
So, i removed last track from audio, reuploaded it to youtube and it worked! After, i msg to stpdFRESH and told about it. He's changed the last song and gave me updated soundtrack. I just replaced audio in original video and reupload it here.
I take a mental note that the preloading of the future tracks used in the video - a necessary practice in today's TH-cam.
I think one of the problems may be in usage couple of copyright protected tracks, because i seen many videos on yt with banned track - Jay Z: Oh My God (Instrumental Version). Need to check this later...

I didn't like the random switching from 1st to 3rd person gotta be a bit more creative than that just leave it out in my opinion thats only useful for fraghighlights... it has no effect other than being annoying in defrag. that mario shit was epic tho credits for that!

I cant believe how stuck up some people are treating this like a cinema experience that they paired for or something?? If they really liked quake that much it would be EXTREMELY easy to like a highlight video of only the player pov, or 3rd person
FFs I even mute all defrag movies that add music. reason being I actually like and enjoy quake. I dont need this extra bullshit to make it enjoyable :)
