It's funny how things have changed. When GM came out with the Dust Buster Mini Vans they were criticized because of the motorhome distance between the interior and the end of the windshield. There is no comparison in vehicles of course. I remember when Tesla first introduced the Cybertruck, I thought, OMG how ugly. It was a shock to the system. Now I want one. Cheers!!!
Haha! I think you are talking about the Chevrolet Lumina....my parents used to have one when I was growing up! Dust Buster Mini Van....very accurate description!

Pedestrian safety aside, It's a fun car to look at, I enjoy the diversity in the automobile space.
It's safer than legacy trucks with their high front grills. The data shows that hood height is the best predictor of pedestrian injuries. The higher the hood, the more lethal the impact.

One of most interesting parts of cybertruck: it will serve as an SUV for many. Especially once ten degree rear steering released. Brilliant getting size down to meet those needs while still giving you all truck most need.

In fact, in the US, large cars have disappeared, replaced by a combination of SUVs and large trucks; in the majority of those cases, a car would serve the needs perfectly well, except the “need” to either have an aggressive stance or to kill the other party in an accident that likely wouldn’t happen if they had a better handling and braking vehicle.
@@altosack Certainly part of the appeal of Cybertruck is its protection of inhabitants. "All truck most want" to be technically correct.

The Tesla Model X Plaid with 1020hp does 0-60 in 2.5 seconds under perfect conditions, but the heavier Cyberbeast with "only" 834 hp on normal roads consistently does 2.6 seconds.
I suspect the CT might be quicker than the Model X. It makes me wonder how Tesla managed that.
@@futuristic_car_channel I looked the 834 up, but you are right. Tesla website says 845 hp.

Would love an effectiveness test on that wiper blade on the main channel.
I live in WA and having a consistently effective wiper is required for me.
I’m wondering the replacement/maintenance cost. Though I’m sure those who’d spend $120k on this truck wouldn’t be as concerned… I still look at that amount as “house money”. I want one, but MAN would I not want to make that payment. My payment for a ‘24 MYLR is expensive enough. 😂

Yep, a truck whose steering almost puts you in the ditch. Sounds amazing.
I'm still puzzled since I heard it would have a structural battery pack. Does it? I would prefer a maintainable pack like the S and X, especially since the 4680 is no where close to the power density that Tesla was hoping for by this time.

kyle is absolutely right... if cybertruck had double the battery size without using the extension pack that take up the bed space, it would be perfect
Wish my xplaid had steer by wire as well as the bi-directional charging . I guess 2025 will be the magic year? Very nice truck.
I'm very particular about windshields and that wiper doesn't seem to be able to clean very well. I do love the mono wiper though.

The steering is going to cause accidents. Twitchy steeeing is not an improvement. It exists only to make Elon's stupid yoke viable. Backing up a trailer will suck without the ability to easily make tiny steering adjustments.

The Model 3 is an amazing car and very under-rated. It's the best Tesla for long, fast road trips with minimal charging. It slices through the air at high speed like nobody's business.

Sorry the looks don't do it at all for me. I also wonder what the insurance premiums will be and repair costs as there has already been one in an accident and how many will get written off by insurance companies. The steering wheel isn't new I've seen it in Renault vehicles. We also need to end this obsession with 0-60 times being the only mark of a good EV and we also need affordable EV's something that has yet to happen well at least in the US in other parts of the world at least there are Chinese brands which are far more affordable than the mainstream automakers and that includes Tesla.
With a round wheel you always know where to grab it.
You grab a round wheel anywhere and you never know where you are grabbing it. The squircle is constantly giving you that feedback that a round wheel hides from you.
For them not to have included the same digital rear view mirror in my 2024 Cadillac Lyriq, KNOWING that you can't see out of the back with the tonneau cover closed is just the height of absurdity and arrogance.
I can't bring myself to buy a Tesla. I'll short the stock, but I can't buy their products.
I saw one parked at my gym today….they are uglier and more ridiculous in person. The panels look like they are different colors due to different angles. Nobody even paid any attention to it.

The Cybertruck is a massive failure being held afloat by TH-camrs passing them around like cheap hookers so they can do reviews on them.
Seeing your Cybertruck sitting there WITHOUT the wheel covers is a reminder of how bad Tesla failed on this one.

I sold my Cybertruck allocation when I heard of the rust. Absolute deal breaker.
The adjective for it DREADFUL. Cheap looking interior, and ridiculous exterior with impossible to take care of stainless steel. Once the novelty wears off they won’t be able to give these things away.

While you guys have your money invested into Tesla, a company that has not made investors money for 3 years, I have sold my tesla and am now making Piles of money on BITCOIN...I still believe TSLA is a good long term investment, but not right now..
No, TSLA has peaked a couple years ago. It is all downhill from here. It will settle in to a price matching other midsized car makers.
