Eastern Orthodox Christianity is the ORIGINAL, Apostolic Church established at Pentecost in AD 33. For the first 1000 years, everyone, East and West, was Orthodox. The Roman Catholic Church are Papal Heretics, the First Protestants, and strayed from true Christianity. The Frankish Emperors were one of the driving forces of The Great Schism, subverting the True Religion for political reasons. That's not the Great Schism... the Great Schism came in 1053, when the Catholics broke off the Orthodox church.
