"Stressed, I mean that's me most of the time" Mood 💀. From the cat wearing a tempura hat to the Calcifer candle light, this store is amazing! It's like this store's owner saw so many cute items, couldn't decide, and said *"Yes!"* When it comes to Ghibli movies, I love Spirited Away and Howl's Moving Castle. Spirited Away because it set the bar for all anime movies with its brilliance, and for its train scene (what can I say, I'm a train guy), while I like Howl's Moving Castle because of its anti-war theme. My paternal grandpa served in WWII in the Western Front. Hearing his stories moved me. The best toy store of all time in my opinion will always be the former Toys R Us flagship store in Times Square. I grew up going to that one whenever we made a trip into NYC and it was truly kids' heaven. It had a T-Rex animatronic, an ice cream shop, a giant Barbie dollhouse, huge Lego models, a dedicated Hot Wheels section, a Nickelodeon shop, an indoor Ferris wheel, and even a Wonka candy shop. It opened in 2001 and closed in 2015 due to an escalating rent, and was replaced with...a Gap and Old Navy. Smh.
Have you read the Howl’s series? I downloaded the three of them after the third one came out…that was about 15 years ago, but it was after I’d seen Miyazaki’s rendition. I’ve since reread them probably 10 times. For once, the movie lived up to and maybe even surpassed the novel(s). If you haven’t read them, you should consider it, as I’m sure you’d enjoy the read!!! ✌🏻😊
They have more Disney stuff than in the Disney parks! I am here for Sylvanian Families! Thank you for the tour and taking time to go over everything!😍❤💜❤

Literally gasping at the Peanuts merchandise. I'm a big fan of Disney too, but Japanese Peanuts products are my favorite things to collect. Kiddyland has been on my must visit while in Japan forever. Would love to see videos on Familiar and Tower Records!
Peanuts is pretty massive in japan, theres also a small snoopy town shop in Tokyo Station. theres even a Snoopy food shop called Snoopy Cha-ya in Kyoto. i forgot to check the Snoopy merch at USJ theres literially a dedicated shop there lol. even has Snoopy themed noodle cups

I really like that grey striped cat plush in the blue shark outfit. I like the more chill, slice of life Ghibli movies, like Kiki's Delivery Service, Totoro and Whisper of the Heart. That Yesterday one is on my wishlist, I've got my eye on like three ghibli movies I've never seen that seem like more chill slice of life movies.

In the US the Sylvanian Family figures are called Calico Critters. I had them as a kid in the 80s. I still see them in the kid section in Barnes and Noble (a book store in the US). They’re super cute!

My favorite Ghibli film is probably 'Castle in the Sky'. I liked the handkerchief featuring some Ghibli characters, didn't get a good look in your video but it appealed to me. In the Snoopy area I thought of my Mom, she played the role of Snoopy in a play when she attended college. Think if I shopped there I would buy her a kitchen egg timer or something kitchen-related. Thanks for your video it's fun to window shop. Even my child enjoyed it, she pointed to the screen and yelled, "I want that puppy bag" xD I'm being more aware of my purchases however these kind of videos get me a boost of joy even if I don't buy anything.

I remember there being Star Wars aisle and very little video game merchandise. Thank you for showing us what the store looks like nowadays - I can't wait to go back.
I adore Kiddy Land! When I went before the word cute lost all meaning it was used so much! Will be definitely having an overdue visit there when I’m in Japan in March
The "what is going on here?" and the zoom made me laugh out loud XD What a fun store, so much variety! When we were in Japan in November, we went to a Kiddy Land in Himeji but had to leave pretty fast because my 3 year old was trying to buy one of everything :) Thanks for the in depth video!
The US sucks, too much corporate control, its why theres lack of, its why they fail in this category sadly; only good thing US good for tech and food lol and food.. Japan is neat, they have a large variety of things, china is similar too, especially with their huge giant malls they have. Wish the US had better stuff, instead of the Same things.
