i learned ASL in high school and even though a lot of it didn’t stick with me it gave me such an appreciation for it and the community. we had a project where we translated a song to ASL and memories of that made this music video really resonate with me. such a beautiful expressive language not enough ppl acknowledge and i’m glad he put in the work to do it justice here, and i hope your mom liked it! should definitely be more normalized as an language option in schools bc even if the language itself doesn’t stick with you it broadens your perspective so much and i was lucky enough to have a teacher who really cared.

This chorus hits so hard, and that fade in beat drop leading into it is insane, what makes this chorus even better is that he just sings like he's clenching his teeth together because he is angry at the world, or maybe himself. this song is so full of emotion, and its exactly how I feel in my life right now.
The mix on this is fantastic, i love the general soundscape so fucking much. The way the more “whiny”, breathy voice sounds over the atmospheric, heavy and dramatic production is fucking beautiful.
