- "Mind Your Language" was a British sitcom that aired on ITV from 1977 to 1979, with a brief revival in 1986. Created by Vince Powell, the show revolved around the hilarious misadventures of an English language class for immigrants to England. Through its witty humor and cross-cultural interactions, the show explored language barriers, stereotypes, and the universal humor that transcends borders.

The sitcom boasted a talented ensemble cast, which played a crucial role in making the show a cherished favorite among audiences. Barry Evans led the cast, portraying Jeremy Brown, the well-meaning but often overwhelmed English teacher. Evans's comedic timing and charm made him the heart of the series. Tragically, he passed away at the age of 53 in 1997 due to a heart attack, leaving behind a legacy cherished by fans of "Mind Your Language."
Another beloved cast member who has since left us was Zara Nutley, who portrayed the stern headmistress, Miss Courtney. After her stint on "Mind Your Language," she continued her acting career in various films and TV shows though this was one of her best-known roles.
Furthermore, the show featured Robert Lee, who played Taro, the Japanese student - though he was actually Chinese! Sadly, Robert Lee passed away in 1986 and this was one of his most famous roles.
Additionally, "Mind Your Language" included the talented Dino Shafeek, who portrayed the Pakistani student Ali Nadim. Dino was a gifted actor who became one of the most recognized actors from the Indian Subcontinent in the UK. He passed away at the age of 53 in 1984, leaving behind an impressive body of work that included his fantastic portrayal in the sitcom.
While these cast members may no longer be with us, their work in "Mind Your Language" remains etched in the annals of British television history. The show's ability to entertain, educate, and foster understanding between cultures continues to be its enduring legacy. "Mind Your Language" may have ended, but its impact on generations of viewers and its humor that transcends time and borders will forever live on.

Rest in Peace!! Awesome actors, legends!
They will be missed. Which episode of the show appealed to you the most?
@@FactsVerseUK All were great, but I prefer Ali's birthday party episode with his wife - thanks for making a video showing respect to these fine actors. All the best in making your channel grow!
Rest in Peace dear all actors, i really miss you alot
I honestly love them all. I can't think of anyone who the show might stay the same without. The cafeteria employee, the janitor, and a few guest stars/actors were also memorable. It'd be hard to replicate this show these days.
Absolutely ! Love them all.
All of them stars of their own making. Difficult to reproduce this episode.
Favourites Jeremy Brown Ali Nadim, Giovanni Juan Cervantes , Ranjeet Singh.
But I loved them all.Max Danielle, Anna Jamela Sunyi,Taro .Goodness they were all very good .
Why did the teacher Jeremy and Ali die so young.
I loved all of them all ❤❤😂😂.. May their souls rest in perfect peace .
The actors I found most hilarious are Ali Nadeem ("Yes, please") and Juan Cervantes ("Por favor"). The part I liked about Juan is that he acts funny while maintaining a gentleman's demeanor. Combining these two characters with (profesori) Mr. Brown is an act of genius! Thankfully, Mr. Brown didn't forget his English. 😂
The best enemy-friends were Max and Giovanni. They roast each other up and yet stay intimate with each other. 😂
You are 100% right !
Ah so, Hokey Cockey, gud efning, Santa Maria, thousand apologies, imperial warmongers.
Definitely true❤
Yes, 👍🏽
I cant forget Ranith's "A thousand apologies"
RIP Barry. Most unforgettable performance.
R.I.P BARRY EVANS
MISSED and LOVED
ALWAYS 😭 😭 😭 😭 😭
Love him always❤
Wish he is still alive 😢
A very sweet character
Nobody can replace him ❤
I recommend watching the early 1970s TV series "Doctor At Large" and "Doctor In The House" in which Barry Evans has starring role.
The best sitcom of all time and. It is so sad how such a genius actor Barry ends up, it is a big shame for all of Britain.
I recommend watching also the early 1970s TV series "Doctor At Large" and "Doctor In The House" in which Barry Evans has a starring role.

I haven't got a favourite because they all made me laugh in their own ways. Whenever I watch their pieces of work it feels to me as if they are still with us as I laugh so much every time I watch their act of work, which they all did so well. I miss them so well

Thank you for the video being a Sri Lankan i didnt know that Albert Moses (Ranjit Singh) was a Sri Lankan😊 ..anyways i loved almost all the characters...they all did their roles excellently ..not forgetting that how we waited for the next episode for one week 😂😂😂 as it telecasted once a week.. very interesting it was ....those characters will never die 😊 its deep in our 💕
A lot of mistakes in the Barry bio: He died Feb 9th not 11th 1997, he lived in a bungalow in Leicester, not a flat in Surrey and his TV career started with a series called Redcap in 1964, and the fame came in 1969/70 with the LWT series Doctor in The House.
Love them all but my most faourites were Barry Evans aka Jeremy Brown and Dino Shakeek aka Ali Nadim..Also loved Ranjeet.,Giovani and Danielle.
Comedy like this really rare..I found it in TH-cam incredible Comedy so many diversity of cultures
.Bring different worlds together
Well said, we strongly concur! Thank you for watching our content and for sharing your thoughts. What other types of video would you like to see?

All were genious in their own roles...
Well said, we strongly concur! Thank you for watching our content and for sharing your thoughts. What other types of video would you like to see?
Thanks for sharing this video about this incredible actor's. Maybe garry evans had too much trauma..wao at the age of 50s..my prayers for everyone one of them. This comedy like this its rarely..they all act like family..its noticeable in each scene.
My favourite actor(s) from MYL:
(living): Danielle (Françoise Pascal), Max (Kevork Malikyan)
(Passed away): Mr. Brown, Ranjit, Ali, Juan and Sid (Tommy Godfrey)
Trivia: Ke ork Malikyan was in "Indiana Jones and the last Crusade". When his character was asked who he is, I just have to answer, " *I am Ms. Greece.* " If you've seen that episode in MYL you know what mean.Malikyan was also in Taken 2.
My favorite is Mr Juan Carventez & Mr Brown
So sad to see many of them passed away. My favorites were Mr. Brown and the Spanish guy Borpha Bor.
R. I.P to each and every one of the actors /actresses who 😢dly passed away
Ricardo Montez also played a police officer in the second series o Auf Weidersehen Pet , set in Spain .
Senor Fuentes. excellent portrayal. ☺
I am sure it was Zara Nutley who appeared in an episode of Fawlty Towers . She played a bossy and demanding guest who complained to Basil about the view from her hotel bedroom in Torquay and it ' not being good enough ' . He replied , ' What did you expect ? The hanging gardens of Babylon and Herds of wildebeest majestically crossing the Savanna grasslands ' ( or words to that effect ) .
No it wasn't, that was Joan Sanderson (Mrs. Richards) in Fawlty Towers. She used to be in "Please Sir" a similar program to MYL. 👍
Yes please!
Love from India 👍🇮🇳 one of my favourite series
We're happy to know that you're a fan of the show. In your opinion, what is its best episode?
Liked the serial a lot❤️😞
I was born in july 1975, well very difficult to choose, all characters are funny. But my favourite is nadim ali (dino shafeek) ranjeet and also barry evans
They’re all my favorite. Sadly they’ll never be a show like this again because society no longer tolerates stereotypes, even if it’s just harmless comedy.
They should make a sequence
I ❤ them all. 😂
Ali Nadeem 😢 may ur soul rest in peace
All actors were great but I like Ali Nadeem most...
I ❤ all of them
Barry evans😢
Rest in peace legends
Rest in peace ..all who have left the earth. Each one was unique. Nevertheless, Mr. Brown was cute.
All the actors

All of them.. the entire ... actor and actress performed perfectly...100 percent... that's why despite all these years mind your language episodes are still sort after...sad to hear that some of them left to be with god

Fun stuff, thanks for sharing! What other types of video would you like to see?
Oh blimey
My favourite character, hands down, Ali Nadeem 😀
May they rest in peace
Made thousands laugh!
I grew up watching mind your language, my opinion is it was the most popular and funny comedy at that time I quote Old is Gold this type of comedy will never be made in future. These days people are very sensitive and serious
Mr Brown, Ali Nadeem and miss Courtney.
Juan - sol right, por favor.
I miss Barry Evan 😢😢😢😢😢😢❤❤
Unfortunately most of them are no more. Not a single show was boring. They were all unique. Even those artists who appeared on only one show was good, like the education inspector and the Scttish driver. Some dialogues uttered ub such innocence were hilarious., like Jamila saying sh doesnot have TV license. They
Ade avwomderful team. I watch some of the series almost every day ,. You never get bored.
