“Superposition” is a love song that uses ideas from physics to talk about the incredible pull we feel to those we love, and the sense of fate and inexplicable compulsion that brings us together.
This is such a beautiful song. Dark star: an exotic and mysterious star with immense gravitational pull Superposition: occupying the same space at the same time, literally as close as you can possibly be You are a rare and beautiful thing, and I want to be as close to you as the universe will allow.
Superposition is: when two or more waves cross at a point, the displacement at that point is equal to the sum of the displacements of the individual waves
When things fall into place.... Superposition. Keep the faith fellow humans. No matter how deep you are into the rabbit hole.... Your life means something, you are loved and have a purpose.
Never forget that there is a distinct difference between living and being alive. No matter what obstacles you may face in this moment, never ever sell yourself short. You can stand tall and finish today even if it takes everything you have. Tomorrow is another day another gift... Another opportunity to persevere, to live, to give and to learn.

I will never forget the first time I heard this song. YTG was rehearsing in the field house of my college before their show that night. I couldn’t believe my ears from the locker room- instant nostalgia
This is my absolute most favorite, best, grooviest song out right now... the music, the sounds, the use of instruments in unique ways, the use of quantum physics terminology - just incredible. I can't stop listening to it.
I love how they're not afraid to change up their style of music and are constantly exploring different sounds. They always come out with awesome songs and beats. Really hope they play a concert in Northern California!
*Superposition* is when something is put on top of or with something else. It's associated with quantum concepts, described well by Schrödinger's cat, where the properties of something can exist with each other until they are made to *fall into place.* This ties into philosophical arguments about *fate* and *string theory.* ("In any universe...") Closely related to all of this is the Heisenberg uncertainty principle, which guarantees *imprecision,* and says that not everything can be known and *explained.* Electrons are the facilitators of *chemical reactions,* which require atoms to *collide* and have space for electrons to cross over, often described as *"wanting* to share." Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but it looks like this song is brilliant.
I just read the annotation and was blown away with how the artist intended _even more_ than what I thought! I couldn't explain it, I recommend reading it. (Found it on Genius)
Funny, that one part in the song made me annoyed with him. He was so freakin' brilliant in everything he was saying, than he slips in, what, Betty Boop? Minnie Mouse? Ruined it for me. If I could edit it out I would.
The lyrics... they don't describe the person I am with. It describes the person I wish he was. In life there will always be this one person we wished we had.. and very few get the chance to meet that person. 😔
“We are all and we are nothing and everything in between. In every time; in darkness and in light, we are every second; every shade. Every morning we wake, there are endless possibilities; outcomes, realities of how that day will end. Each decision splits into a myriad of mirrors; a system of lines that enlace, tangle, and intersect. But in every one, you and I were bound to meet. It may be on the bleachers, in an airplane, the DMV, a race track, a bar, a tiny ship that crosses the ocean at night; but we would have found each other, and like light yawns across eons to spill on the floor beneath your window, we would fall in love, because we are all and we are nothing and everything in between. We are in superposition,” - Sameer Gadhia on “Superposition” An example of just how music and lyrics can explain your thoughts and feelings. Melancholic yet somehow comforting. So different, yet still so similar. It’s amazing how they can make their songs sound so different but give me the same feeling of euphoria. I love this band.
What is it that brings some oxygen and some hydrogen together to make water? That’s love, man. It permeates every facet of our existence. Some people call it god, but god is love and love is within every atom that keeps reality glued together.
