still dont understand, what is NITESHIFT? is it a re-branding?
@@JaxDax It’s a hybrid of a few different things and does kind of defy definition, but primarily it’s a narrative universe (combining elements of music, games, comics, film), a sort of expansive puzzle/mystery game to solve together over time, and an online community. Sometimes I describe it as if an “artist” is usually a person, the “artist” of NITESHIFT is a place.
You sing beautifully
The best I can surmise is that 'NITESHIFT' seems to be A conscious model of reality. An example of one way of how to live in the world as a person, coupled with a particular anesthetic and as of yet undefined goals or objectives to complete or strive for either knowingly or unintentionally. I was listening to this on loop during my first major heartbreak around 4-5 years ago. Kinda crazy how hurt I was back then and how well I am now. It's ok to be sad and cry, just make sure you don't pickle in your own feelings without a break. You are gonna be fine, you have so much more to see and do, don't linger in theh past

Last year this was one of the most listened song in my Spotify. I remember I was having anxiety attacks and having really really bad time. This song helped me a lot. I believe the water is the way he sees love. He falls into the pool which is like falling in love. He is like a life guard in the video so it's as if he fell in love with a local who comes to the pool. In the song it says "This isn't what I signed up for." As if to say that he signed up for the community, not for the sole purpose to fall in love. The dissolving colors, to me, represent the love that he bottles up inside of himself, maybe the colors presenting themselves are his true feelings for this person presenting themselves.
