Any reason why the configuration wizard is not reading my wheel?? I set up and saved the main settings and shifter but it's not letting me do all the tests in the wizard. Any tips?

I think in most cases it's how the game is reading the device through Windows, or it isn't, it can work one day but not the next. If you can try another USB port on the PC and as it says in the video above make sure Windows can see your wheel before you start the game and don't use any controller options in Windows while the game is running.

I need a full beginner series from you. Youre seriously the only guy who cares about beginners who want to get into sim racing.
Every other "beginners guide" goes straight into modding. Man im here trying to figure out why my car is sliding all the fricken time. Wont steer for shit either and idk what to do anymore
EDIT: Thank you so much! I wrote my initial comment right before going to bed. Reinstalled the game and followed this video step by step. My wheel finally acts as it should, the driving is soooo amazing!
This video is a lifesaver! Assetto Corsa is impressively bad at explaining ANYTHING at all, terrible all aorund.

Some minor crackling in the audio while going through the wheel setup, might be EMI (doubt it) or the new PC that I'm still getting used to. Anyway your patience would be appreciated 😉

Thank you very much for your guide. My g923 just arrived and i dont know how to set it up because it worked well with forza horizon 4. At least now i know that it's not faulty, just me not knowing how to set it up

Most common issue with AC and controllers is the way Windoze reassigns USB ports. This causes AC to think a controller is added or removed.
Turn off power management for USB ports is one of the first things I would do with every PC build.

Just what i was looking for! Trying to setup my Logitech G Pro wheel and saw that there was no preset for it. This helped a lot. Thanks.
if your onn a pro like me keep the effects off or 5% or lower, they exaggerate the effects that the wheel already picks up, also stick filter at 20% in game and 3 on ghub
make sure you run the wheel at 11nm in ghub then turn it down in ac, i run it at 35 then tune it car by car if i need to using the ingame ffb app.. there are loads of lil apps you can use, i highly recommend getting content manager.. its the reason why ac is the sim thats taken me down this rabbit hole
I've been having an issue when i accelerate the wheel used to shake but now its stuck centered no detail at all its very obvious in a f1 car its like the kerbs dont exist and worse when it lock left or right when drifting
great video but just to be clear. see my problem is that the brake pedal is not only the brake but at the same time the acceleration and my acceleration pedal is nothing. so do you know how to fix that?

When I go into controls, the configuration wizard doesn't highlight. I've tried the MODE, nothing. Tried Pressing SHARED & OPTIONS, nothing... Unplugged it and tried all again... Downloaded the driver and firmware before I tried setting this up.... I have a PXN v900, not sure where to go from here...
this helped me, thank you, it seems I'm missing any program for my wheel so I will find that then setup in game, hopefully you can fix your pedal squeak for your own sanity lol

Informative and helping, espessially for TS-PC users. These wheels are rare and not many use them.
Also, Davy Jones, you are/were missing some controls in your Thrustmaster driver - Advanced mode. Update it.

I did everything in the settings, after i saved the profile and load it when i left the page a message popped and it says my wheel is not connected but its recognized by the game and every input works fine but when i try to drive nothing moves can you help me pls? thank you.

Hello, i hope you can help me out.
I have Assetto Corsa on pc and a G29.
During callibrating the clutch and gear are greyed out. I can't callibrate the clutch pedal and i can't assign gears.
I've already checked the "use separate shifter" box, unchecked automatic clutch and gear change, used a car with manual gear.
Also, the wheel is much too sensitive, no matter how i set it up or how i callibrate it.

it could be that the rotation value of your wheel in Windows is not matching the wheel rotation value set in the game so make sure they are the same

hey i done the same what i done was install the Logitech g hub and it works if you are still having trouble :)
same lol. turned out i had to turn the pedals on in the app to get it to work.
G hub didnt do anything to help unless i hit the pedal app.
Thought i would try out the toyota 1st as it looks more like a street car. that thing slides around all over the place lol. even on straights and the pedal to the metal the back end flips out. its like driving on ice. 1 bend i had snails overtaking me and the back end was still sliding all over the place. 2.20 on the monza 66 road track. took the arbarth out for a spin and got 2.01 on my 1st try even with a few mishaps.

Hi, sorry don't follow the reference to make a preset and then use the configuration wizard, you should just select a controller profile on the left that matches your wheel and use the wizard? Or maybe it doesn't matter... Not sure why the option doesn't appear, seems odd

With your clutch it seemed to be halfway and when you pressed it down it it went back to the left 8:20. Mine is stuck at half way and when i press down it goes full and back to half way again. Do you know why this is ?
Not sure. I think I was using the axis invert option. Have you tired using both invert on and off? Does your clutch behave the same in other games?
@@DavyJonesSimRacing i have tried the invert options and i wouldnt know if it works on other games as i only have forza which wont match my wheel profile or something. Struggling to be able to play driving games atm.

Does online work with a controller? joined a handful of servers and tried everything but car just wont go into gear... im confused.
Joining an online session has nothing to do with your controller method. Check your driving assists before going on track.

take your time to setup the wheel and make sure it is connected correctly
It doesn't pick up my pedals at all in the wizard, I don't get it, they show as button 1 and 2 (the set I found in my house doesn't have a clutch) so I'm really confused about it

I have a problem when i leave the pits i try to shift from 1 to 2 but the spped doesn’t go up the car slows down til it stops im on ps4
I dont think there is a pit lane limiter option in Assetto Corsa - well there is but its only automatic I think... I sounds like the car isn't shifting up - have you tried driving using automatic mode?

when i select 'DRIVE' the car just sits in pitlane with a few settings on the side of the screen i.e tyres, fuel etc which ive already set in the previous screen. Now....from here NOTHING happens. even though ive got controller selected, mapped etc, the car just sits ideling in pitlane and my controller wil not respons. i cant rev, change gear, nothing. wth????

My main issue seems to be with my brightness for some reason it’s so bright I can’t see the track but adjusting the brightness doesn’t seem to do anything
Might be an AC graphical glitch caused by using a bad mod, its like you start a session and its all bright and day and night seem mixed up together or inverted. If that occurs then back up your AC settings and reset the game to its defaults and with only stock content. And if you are using Content Manager also be careful to see if that is causing the issue. Or maybe its just a setting in your graphics panel in AC, sorry just guessing here

Not sure, have you checked what assists you have enabled?
My wheel (a g923) works in the menu when configuring it for setting. But as soon as I load into a race my pedals and wheel don’t work and my keyboard is used for inputs. Any idea on what the problem is?

Davy .. excuse me .. how can I get that app bar that you have in the game? in the original when I installed the f feddback clip, the camera icon above the pilot's case disappeared.
Do you mean the app bar that appears on the right when you are in the car? Move your mouse cursor over to the right side of the screen and it should appear
