People like you are always welcome in Mexico. Thanks for the credit to my country and Baja California Sur state; and of course to the friendly Baja Californian people. In some other videos, they didn´t even mention that is in Mexico where the whales spent their nursing time, they are protected because we are committed to keeping and preserving this nature jewel for oncoming generations.
Amazing. I took a group of hard-core bikers on a road trip to Cabo. I really had to work hard time convincing them to go see the whales. When we finally got out in the boats and some of the guys got to touch the whales, I actually saw a few of them with tears in their eyes, it's very moving and emotional.
This quickly moves to the top of my favorite Beans videos. What a great experience with the whales 🐋 I believe that they were trying to comfort Emma. Alex checking another bird off his list... congratulations 🎊
Sorry for the slightly random comment but I woke up this morning after having a hugely emotional roller coaster day yesterday as my wife gave birth to our first child. I watched your video while having a coffee before going back to the hospital and I sat and cried like a baby. A build up of emotion! Absolutely amazing guys! what an experience that must of been. We always look forward to your videos and Alex always makes us crack up with his sense of humour. Keep up the great work!!
I got quite emotional watching you Emma getting emotional but am so grateful that you shared this video with us all, the only Wales I get to see is the one in the United Kingdom 🇬🇧🤠😁🤭👍
I echo your praise of Pachico's specifically for this whale experience. We were treated with such care when we stayed with them in March this year. They are legit ecotourism operators compared with some of the other options that are newer to the area and not always respecting the community that's been there for generations with stewardship at their heart. Victoria was an amazing guide, Adriana was a great bartender and general resource, and the rest of the team were all fantastic! Glad you all got to have a great experience there like we did. Best vacation of my life so far! Just incredible, and I'm still beaming weeks later.
Yay Beans!!!! So glad you got to have your whale moment 🐋🐋 I love that your fave part of travel is the wildlife, especially seeing how excited Al gets when he sees a bird of prey 🦅
Aw thank you! We love it so much! 😂 We tried to see ospreys on our trip to Scotland last year, and we didn’t realise it would be possible here so that was especially exciting! But nothing can compare to that whale interaction.. we can’t stop talking about it 😂💛
THANK YOU for sharing such a great vlog. When I was 17, myself, my Dad and my step family (8 of them) all went to southern California for Christmas. We took a trip to SeaWorld. I needed to just sit as I was not used to so much family energy. I found an empty amphitheater to take a break, a dolphin pitched a ball at me and squawked. I was so thrilled and threw it back to it. We did this about a half dozen times and the trainer came out and said that he was bored and thanked for playing his game. The trainer kindly asked that I stopped and to give him, the trainer, the ball back. I walked to the edge of the pool and said thanks for the great memory. The dolphin clicked and whistled at me. My family did not believe me, but I didn't care - best feeling in the world to be appreciated and recognized.
What a magical experience to have and a life long memory....we swam with the whales sharks in Exmouth Western Australia, and it too was a an overwhelming experience, still makes us tear up when we remininse about it 🧡
What an amazing experience. Beautiful whales. And the scenery is beautiful and endless. I can understand the overwhelming feelings. Loved it. Love and be safe!🤗😘🌼🇻🇪
What an amazing experience, a big adventure in our piece of land here in México, I'm so happy you loved it, next time you have to go to Cabo Pulmo too, the comunity there saved the nature of their little town and sea, very interesting place if you like diving. Thaks for visiting Baja California Sur, México!
It was great to hear about Pachico and him leading the protest against the salt mining and winning! So important to remember what great things people are capable when we work together. Of course I cried too, when you guys were interacting with the whales, it was so special! As a kid we used to see dolphins very close to us from our little motor boat and once I got the opportunity to touch one that came up right beside me. It wasn't like your experience though, they mostly just wanted to ride our bow waves, but it was so cool watching them having fun!
currently at the airport flying to Mexico to enjoy sunshine for a week. Very excited to get on a plane again and get out in the world traveling again. So excited that you got to see the whales. Amazing experience
So amazing. We watched Kara and Nate have a great experience but we felt the love coming through so much more with your interaction. As far as birds go we have the storks and a type of eagle all over now in the Alentejo region of Portugal. Thanks so much for sharing.
Bless you Emma, that experience looked amazing, I can understand why you had a bit of a cry, the connection with nature was incredible, it actually brought a tear to my eye just watching the video and I'm a big hairy arsed bloke!
Thank you for taking all of us on your amazing adventures through your videos. My "inner female" was exposed when you shared your up close and personal encounter with the whale as I wiped tears from my eyes. I want to take my grandchildren there one day to hopefully experience special moments as you did.
Great film. Alex's reaction to seeing the Osprey reflected mine when I first went to Portugal and started seeing Storks everywhere. Thought I'd entered Jurassic Park. I'm so glad to see something positive coming out of Mexico. All the news has covered over the last decade is drug wars and mass killings. It's encouraging to see the Baja developing some amazing tourist attractions.
FIRST!! 🌟🤪Also my claim to fame is that I was lucky enough to see that unbelievable whale shot when you WhatsApped me after it happened. 🐋😱😆 Now I can see the action that surrounded that epic moment!! 🎉 xx T
Amazing video. What a wonderful experience that will last a lifetime. I worked for a few weeks on an island off the west coast of Scotland. Tractor and trailer was the mode of transport from the house I lodged at to our working station. One glorious evening I decided to forgo the trailer and baled seat to walk over the hills on my return trip. At the very top of the sheer clifftop a Golden Eagle rose a few feet away from me and as it passed above me I could hear the effortless, airbrush motion of its wings. I turned my head in awe as it soared away without a second glance at me. A treasured moment. Thanks for reminding me of it.
The Osprey, Vultures and Pelicans just arrived to my area to spend the Spring & Summer here before leaving in the Fall. The Gray Whales pass our coast going up to Alaska before heading back down to Baja to have their babies. I have been on Whale watching boats here but they are migrating so you can’t get right up to them and touch them. Love the place you stayed at - worth the $$ as they seem very eco minded and careful around the whales. Awesome vlog this week 🐳
Did the same trip myself quite a few years ago. It is difficult to describe the magical connection one feels with them at the time. Exhilarating, grateful, amazed, none seem to fit and yet they all do. Obviously, I loved the experience. Keep them coming .
I watched Kara and Nate’s video yesterday too (long time subscriber and fan of both your channels). Pssst…don’t tell anyone but I preferred yours. I learned a lot more about how the whales are protected and the history of how that interaction with the whales came about, plus all the glimpses of the various birds. It was delightful. And before anyone starts berating me, I loved Kara and Nate’s vlog too. I don’t normally do comparisons as each channel has their strengths.
Aw thank you that’s so kind 🙏💛 we actually didn’t plan to make the whole video about it but when we got there we found the story so fascinating and touching. And to be honest, after that experience we just didn’t feel motivated to film anything else! It was just too magical! 😅💛💛💛
I watched Kara & Nate get close to the whales just before this video. Your video showed how great the whales truly are and how much fun they have interacting with humans. I was getting emotional with Emma. Shows you how much we share this planet with others. Loved this video..Thanks for sharing this!
Many of your compatriots have made the same trip down to that place to see the grey whales. It's almost a life-changing experience when they come up to the boat so you can make contact. Sorry you got sick on the boat Emma. The whale was just telling you,,,"it's ok I'm here for you so be happy". Fantastic episode guys. 2 thumbs up.
I totally understand why you cried. I went whale watching in Nova Scotia years ago and a humpback came along side of the boat, rolled, and looked me in the eye. I got teary too. Great video.
My wife has long suffered from motion sickness. The most amazing product we have used to beat it is called "Kwells." Our daughter first found it in Australia (the tour operators taking folks out to see the Great Barrier Reef recommended), and she brought some back with her. Because the active (and effective) ingredient is disfavored in many countries, it can be a bit hard to find. But if you run across any, buy all you can afford to stock up. It really is a miracle for folks like my wife (and Emma).
You guys have me crying. Thank you so much for sharing this video. My heart is full watching you guys live your dreams. I went on a whale watching tour in CA and teared up when I saw them but, it was a large boat and no close interaction.
Spent 8 weeks travelling across Africa and had an amazing experience but two were extra special. First was watching a single lioness hunt a zebra for 45 minutes only for her to fail and walk past our lorry. The second was to watch a baby hyena come out of its den with its mum on the ngorogoro crater and only being a couple of weeks old . Fortunately managed to photograph both experiences . Absolutely love your videos ❤️
Fifty years ago, on the Oregon Coast, I climbed down on some rocks next to the water, where two grey whales were scraping barnacles off. I couldn't touch them like you did, but I could smell their breath and I am sure they knew I was there. It was pretty special. They have since fenced those rocks off, to prevent people being washed away by the waves (I was there on a very calm day).
Wow that was incredible. I know exactly how your feeling, I have had that experience twice in my life time, both times with dolphins. They are incredible playful and inquisitive. When they look straight into your eyes it’s like their looking into your soul. Just like you, both times I sobbed my heart out. That was just amazing to watch. Thank you 💕💕💕
Even though I lived on a boat for 5 years, I would still get seasick at times. Mint is your best chance at not getting sick. Either breath drops like Bianca, mint gum or mint candies. Also, pretzels are good when you’re queasy. Love your channel. 🇺🇸🌵❤️
When I was fishing off the old Seven Mile Bridge in the Florida Keys, I had a green sea turtle surface right in front of me. And while in the Oconaluftee section of Smokey Mountains National Park, a full herd of elk crossed right in front of my car. Those were the two most powerful (positive) interactions I've had with wildlife.
I was in Benalmadena, Spain, numerous times. They have a very beautiful marina, and for 10 euros you can go on a boat trip out into the sea (Mediterranean) and see dolphins in the wild. They actually get close to the boat and swim in front of it or along the side. That was the special moment for me, seeing real wild dolphins. There was a dolphin mum with a baby ^_^
Wow!! What a beautiful beautiful video.. Thanks so much Alex and Emma for sharing such a heart warming experience... Odie and I had tears in our eyes when the whale came up to you when you were feeling so horrible. Hey I know what it feels to be sea sick. Any way... you guys are always such a wonderful inspiration for us. Been watching for years... you feel like family.. but seriously you guys are truly our favourite vloggers.
How wonderful and completely other....the landscape and wildlife is so different from anything I have experienced (Although I have seen a hummingbird) it's great to see that the Save The Whale campaign in the 80's bore fruit!
My oldest son was at a koala rescue sanctuary in Australia he got to cuddle one. 🥰 His emotions were like your Emma As some were from the bush fires . Something he never forget 😜
Ohhh Beans, what a lovely vlog this was! My own completely overwhelming, heart-bursting-open, sobbing- with-wonder-and-happiness moment happened in South Africa when we were surrounded by a pride of lions within mere minutes of getting into the safari jeep on our way to Sabi Sabi. The experience was simply too much and absolutely perfect at the same time. Thank you so much for taking us all along on your adventures!
You can see/touch grey whales in Guerrero Negro as well. There’s at least 2 great tour companies to choose from - Mario’s and Malarrimo. The lagoon, Ojo de Liebre, is the main nursery for grey whales. Our panga is usually surrounded by six or more whales and you can see dozens breaching on the horizon and nearby
Wauw!! What an experience! I watched Kara and Nate's video, but I like yours so much more. I loved the lady explaining everything and the playfulness of the whales and you guys. Great video!
Just found your U-Tube show recently and I love it! I am almost 50 and want to just jump off a cliff and join you. And this American is very sarcastic. If you want more of us, try the upper East Coast of the country. ;) Looking up Pachicos now...
@@TravelBeans my husband and I lost 2 days of our honeymoon to a glass bottomed boat trip. They are the worst! We never saw a single bloody fish as we were both so sick!
You do realize we have ospreys in the UK Al? Like 250 last time I looked, many at nature reserves so easy to see... But close encounters? My best was a golden eagle on a hike. I'd stopped for lunch by a big rock on a mountain and I heard a noise above my head. An eagle had landed within touching distance. He took one look at me and flew away again but for those few seconds, wow!
Brilliant experience. Really genuine response to nature. Sadly I’d be vomiting immediately on that boat. Loved all the background to the whale watching.
magical! I cried the first time i went whale watching and they put a microphone in the water so we could hear them singing!!!! i love being around whales, but your experience was extraordinarily special. On the bucket list now!
lovely heart warming video. well filmed . sorry for emma having been made sea sick but. like a real trouper put it behind her. or over the side ha ha...brilliant couple
I've been there (but at a different eco-camp) and had the same emotional reaction, I wept with joy! Thankfully I was not seasick but came prepared. The best wildlife encounter ever
I had a memorable time swimming with the dolphins and turtles in Hawaii. We went out to the power plant where they hang out. They like the warmth of the emissions water from the plant. The water is safe to release. The turtles were so graceful and came within arms reach. We didnt touch them because they are protected wildlife. Then we started hearing clicking and a pod of dolphins swam by our boat. I didn't actually see them because they swim so fast. It was still magical hearing their noises in the water.
WHat a great video. I personally have never seen a whale like these once up close like you have, but I did have a close interaction with a dolphin once many years ago. I even got a hug (of some sort) and I will never ever forget that day.. It must be one of my best memories of traveling :D
I enjoyed this video so much, because Kara and Nate were also just there. Kara's reaction to the whales was much like yours Emma, only Nate was sea sick. These whales are amazing and yes, they make us feel there is room on our planet for all creatures. Gonna watch again. Thank you so very much for sharing this amazing experience with us. Bucket list.
Excellent video. Whales are just beautiful & they just want to seem to share the space. I can see why you were moved as that whale seems to know your predicament. I just pretended there was something in my 👁 when watching.
😍😍😍 loved this guys! Amazing experience. I’ve been to this area before but didn’t have the privilege to go see these amazing animals. We’ll documented. Thanks for sharing!
How lovely guys🐋😊. So glad you had such a fabulous, moving, intimate experience 🐳😊. ANIMAL EXPERIENCES: I did orca whale watching off Vancouver Island. They came up close to the boat. And we saw loads of bald headed eagles. Then we saw humpback whales in the Caribbean off the Dominican Republic. But my best whale experience was humpback whales in Hervey Bay Australia. They came up under the boat and jumped next to the boat etc. They literally rocked the boat. It was amazing!. In New Zealand I wanted to do whale and dolfin watching/swiming at Kakoura on the south island, but I didn't have time. But I had a great dolfin watching experience in the Bay of Island, north Island. We were supposed to swim with them, but they had babies so we couldn't. But it was still amazing. Close encounters with these animals is beautiful. I would love to go there in Mexico. Experiences are so important when traveling... Because they stay with you decades down the line🤗. After backpacking/traveling all over the world, although my stomach churned at the cost of experiences at the time, I knew I would not regret it after getting back home or later down the line... And I never have! Whether it was black bears in Canada, swimming with sharks in the Bahamas, or seeing all the crazy Australian wildlife. I hope once my kids are older, I will still be fit enough to travel again.. With or without my kids.

Im a guy in my 60s and I had a tear in my eye watching this - for me this is better than anything on TV.
Aw thanks so much 🙏 so glad you enjoyed it!
Pachico's story gave me chills!!

What a beautiful experience! Thank you so much for sharing this with us!
Yes 👍🙌
How wonderful and completely other....the landscape and wildlife is so different from anything I have experienced (Although I have seen a hummingbird) it's great to see that the Save The Whale campaign in the 80's bore fruit!
This is just amazing. So beautiful and breathtaking so happy for you guys. Much love ❤️
Thank you! They’re so incredible aren’t they 🐋🥰
Nice share. Interesting to watch. Keep up the good work.
My oldest son was at a koala rescue sanctuary in Australia he got to cuddle one. 🥰
His emotions were like your Emma As some were from the bush fires .
Something he never forget 😜
😂❤
I have so many hummingbirds in my back yard .. never realized how great that is until I see Alex all excited about the hummingbirds.
Amaaaaaaaaaazing! 🤩
Amaaaaaaaaaazing! 🤩
What a magical experience. So happy for you all
Wow, what an experience. Thanks for sharing x
Oh wow! Africa is my dream trip!! What an incredible memory 🤩
This was just incredible. Once In a lifetime to see those whales. We're up there with you on travel sickness Emma, ferries and boats are the worst!
Wow, so beautiful and magical!
I agree with you 1000% being up close to the majestic whale is such an AH-MAZING experience!
Beautiful experience, so envious. Definitely one for the bucket list thank you so much for another lovely video.
Amazing to see those behemoths just. . .RIGHT THERE! Stunning. And I know -- the real thing is SO much better, right?? Spectacular visit, Beans! 😎
Wow ! Wow ! Whale ! Sorry had to say that , yet again another great watch thank you Guys .
😂🙏 Thanks so much Paul!
Indigo traveller is normally going to more crazy locations. This seems basic for him but love to see you guys collaborating.
This was amazing! The whales were so nice I cried too.. 👌👍
Is beautiful I just had a interaction with dolphins and I felt the same overwhelming feeling so I can’t imagine with wells
Love your video's and journey's ... Thank You for sharing...
That Grey wale is awesome!!!
Raw emotion! Wow!!!!🐳
Simple breath taking Beautiful..
Wauw!! What an experience! I watched Kara and Nate's video, but I like yours so much more. I loved the lady explaining everything and the playfulness of the whales and you guys. Great video!
So happy you enjoyed it! 🥰🙏
Just found your U-Tube show recently and I love it! I am almost 50 and want to just jump off a cliff and join you. And this American is very sarcastic. If you want more of us, try the upper East Coast of the country. ;) Looking up Pachicos now...
That was magical. I feel your pain on the seasickness. It can take a long time to get over it.
It’s so frustrating 😂💛
@@TravelBeans my husband and I lost 2 days of our honeymoon to a glass bottomed boat trip. They are the worst! We never saw a single bloody fish as we were both so sick!
You do realize we have ospreys in the UK Al? Like 250 last time I looked, many at nature reserves so easy to see... But close encounters? My best was a golden eagle on a hike. I'd stopped for lunch by a big rock on a mountain and I heard a noise above my head. An eagle had landed within touching distance. He took one look at me and flew away again but for those few seconds, wow!
So cool, what an experience you guys had!
You two are just adorable🌻
Brilliant experience. Really genuine response to nature. Sadly I’d be vomiting immediately on that boat. Loved all the background to the whale watching.
So glad you enjoyed it! And to hear I’m not alone in feeling seasick! 😅
magical! I cried the first time i went whale watching and they put a microphone in the water so we could hear them singing!!!!
i love being around whales, but your experience was extraordinarily special. On the bucket list now!
Oh wow! The sounds must have been incredible! That’s so cool 💛💛💛
lovely heart warming video. well filmed . sorry for emma having been made sea sick but. like a real trouper put it behind her. or over the side ha ha...brilliant couple
Thanks so much John! So glad you enjoyed the video
I've been there (but at a different eco-camp) and had the same emotional reaction, I wept with joy! Thankfully I was not seasick but came prepared. The best wildlife encounter ever
So magical 🥰
Wow just wow guys so wish I was there that will be one experience to have and to look back at.
Wow, that sounds wonderful!! Hawaii is a place we would absolutely love to visit!
Agreed! Thank you Marion 🥰 so glad you enjoyed it!! Such magical creatures
Excellent video. Whales are just beautiful & they just want to seem to share the space. I can see why you were moved as that whale seems to know your predicament. I just pretended there was something in my 👁 when watching.
🥰🙏 thank you.. such beautiful animals 💛
Wow what an amazing experience 😍just incredible, I would so love to do this 💛
😍😍😍 loved this guys! Amazing experience. I’ve been to this area before but didn’t have the privilege to go see these amazing animals. We’ll documented. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks so much 🥰
How lovely guys🐋😊.
