    Looks like a well thought out kit. That intercooler design looks like a step up from the kits available for the Gen 1, and 2 Coyotes. Any plans to retrofit this kit for those motors? Not having to grind the timing cover is great as well.

    I'm in the market for a supercharger, and this one looks nice. Does the kit come with a tune ready to go in, or do I have to pay extra for the tuner and custom tune you mentioned?

    My 2018+ kit arrived today! Super excited. I am curious though, is there a reason it came with dw95 injectors instead of the advertised fic1000s?

      When our previous design used a blow down method, we had the best results with our rear feed. When we went to a blow up design, which is a completely different in layout, our best results came with the front feed. The change in the position of the intercooler cores made the difference for us.

      VMPPerformance so this design which is basically a IHI design like the hellcat, is better than all other models you make. If that’s the case then I assume I need to sell my 2014 Shelby and hunt down a vehicle that can utilize this style. Thanks for helping me understand it better. VMP you guys are awesome.

    Roush or procharger have the only dealers in my area that do installs with tuning but they want 22 or 25k CAD plus tax,
    I think for under 13k plus tax the loki kit might the way to go if I trust myself with the install. Can the data logging be done well enough without access to a dyno? Even the pro charger and rousch dealers don't have one.

      Absolutely Tristan. We've done thousands upon thousands of data log/email based tunes on a WIDE range of set ups. As for the install itself, it's rather simple. It's just time consuming, as you'll need to plan for 10-12 hours of work to get it done.

      We are in the process of carb approval for Loki. A stock airbox is the easiest path to carb legality.

    stand mode belts where shredding off the pulley did you come up with a fix for that? other said the samething and i want a Odin so bad..

      In situations where a pulley as small as Stangmode was running in 6 rib puts a LOT of strain on a 6 rib system and that width of belt can stretch and strain more than the similar length 8 or 10 rib belt. When they stretch, they have the potential to jump a pulley etc. We've got an upcoming product release of an all new 8 rib system in the next week or so that'll offer the ability to run 8 rib with the Odin and solve the vast majority of any issues of that nature when running very small pulleys. Aside from running small pulleys in max effort set ups, we see very little issue. The belt on the '16 GT we used for the '15-'17 Odin install video and testing went 21k miles without issue before being replaced.

    Is oil pump gears/sprocket upgrade required if you just want to make 750 horsepower with this kit?

      Oil pump gears and crank sprocket upgrades are typically insurance against the abuse a two-step or for a vehicle used up around the rev limiter. The shock from these types of uses is what really puts them at risk.

    You say this system starts at around 700 rwhp. With what fuel? Want to run 91 pump on mine so I’m wondering if that’s doable. Installing kooks catless headers as well

      Mainly cause I was always told rule of thumb never use that bolt twice in past builds I've done due to stretching and proper TQ

      There is a measurable amount of stretch allowed by Ford. Best practice would be to replace any TTY bolt. That bolt is a Ford specific bolt and we do not provide one in the kit.

    How can you make the Loki push the same power as the Odin?

      Hey Jarrell. So the primary differences between the Loki and Odin kits are the supporting components. Both kits use the same head unit/supercharger. To upgrade a Loki kit to full Odin kit specifications, you would need a TJ69 throttle body, our Odin cold air intake, and the Dual Fan Triple Pass heat exchanger. Those can be purchased separately via our website at vmpperformance.com or an email or phone call to the shop where our support team can assist you in grabbing the correct parts for your application.

    Can you install this in a garage with medium mechanical knowledge?

      As long as you're comfortable with moderate/semi advanced mechanic principles, you should be fine. Plan for a couple days of wrenching at a reasonable pace. You'll need basic knowledge of how fuel systems, cooling systems, and belt drive systems work so that you can make adjustments as needed or handle any curveballs that might come your way. As always, we're here to help however we can.
      If the ideas of bleeding a closed cooling system, running a wiring harness, plumbing fuel system components or minor adjustments to belt alignment seem a bit out of reach, you might consider having a shop such as ourselves or your local performance oriented shop handle the installation for you.

    SAE smoothing 5 like god intended. Now if only Gale Bank's and I can convince everyone that drivetrain loss on a dyno is not a set percentage, saying it loses more power the more you make which doesn't make sense unless you increase the drag via HD trans or diff. Gale Banks TST Podcast #389 at 1:33:12 The 40whp or so it lost when stock will always be it drivetrain loss and doesn't shoot up to a 80whp loss after you increasing the power using the common 10-20% calculation.

      A supercharged Coyote will need a return style fuel system to support E85. If those components are place, having two seperate tunes for different pulley sizes and fuel types shouldn't be an issue.

      This kit will bolt strait on to an otherwise stock 18+ Mustang GT. Supporting modifications aren't a bad idea, but we have designed our kit to be fully functional with an otherwise stock car. To pursue power above the limits of 93 octane and the fuel pump booster will require a return style fuel system at the very least.

      The price seems up there until you start adding up everything included. If the kit includes any additional tuning aside from the base tune thats a huge plus. Hopefully supply can keep up with demand because i see 18+ gt's everyday, everywhere.
