I just realised Alicent dropping the dragon was foreshadowing a dragon falling by the hand of the greens
And a callback to season one when Viserys dropped the dragon and she repaired it for him
@@hayleenicole9326 and she is actually in a way responsible for dropping it again, both the dragon piece and Aegon's real dragon 🙌
It also feels symbolic of Alicent being responsible for the "fall" of Viserys' legacy. The war of succession between Rhaenyra and Aegon marks the end of 80 years of peace, and Alicent & her father manipulating Viserys is what brought the whole mess.
Alicent once repaired that dragon for Viserys which was a symbol of her repairing Viserys’s lineage and giving him a family and sons. Now breaking the same dragon is a symbol of making his family falling apart.

I was unimpressed with the brothel scene a few episodes ago but that's on the writers. I know he did the best with what he had. I was far more impressed and entertained with this episode.
I like him even more. Aemond is one of the best vilains that I saw.
hopefully hes not getting any hate because he really made an unique characterization in the tv villains in general with his acting and the character he plays.

People who hate actors for the roles they play need some serious mental re-adjustment.
Aegon is by far one of the most relatable characters in the show and no one can ever change my mind. And Glynn Carney such an epic talent he is at portraying that lost boy just wanting to be given love. And when he isn’t given it he might find means to take it. That’s why he rushes to battle because he wants the love and the glory.
He is the only character that is not whitewashed they go fully mushroom on him and that makes him the most complexed and interesting character
I just like seeing Aegon on screen icl. I think its the actor's presence more than anything. Tom Glynn Carney really embodies that role well
Yea I really like his character a lot. Lots of flaws to his character, but that’s what I like about him, and he’s conflicting about it and WANTS to do better, but dosent know how, and no one including alicent helped him. They just forced him into the position to be king.
I really hate Aegon but Tom gives Aegon a nuanced loneliness and vulnerability that's just fantastic to watch. Aegon just might be my favorite villain.

And a boy with a freshly dead son and too much power that doesn't know what he's doing. He's told to be kind, and he's too generous and gets scolded. He's told to be more stern and he hangs people out of revenge for his murdered baby. He'd rather be drunk with his friends in a brothel. I almost feel sorry for him

Carrying the show??? The game of the crown is what's carrying this show . It doesn't need to have action scenes to make it great.. the script is far better than GOT and how it's presents a great deal on how ones little actions can tilt the favor of one's side.. a game of throne indeed

Amazing. Because i hated her after that. She tells Aegon that he has no idea of the sacrifices made, even though his SON WAS JUST MURDERED, then accuses him of not listening and learning when the small council ignores him and she herself did not attend the small council as a result of her own vices, and when Aegon pleads her for help she just insults him. Shit mother and shit queen.

I think the actor makes him so likable that I felt nothing when he tried to kill his brother. I will say that both of them are showing out this season. Especially Aegon.

I feel so bad for Sunfyre. It almost made me cry hearing his horrific screams. He was a relatively young, inexperienced dragon and probably thought he was out for a little fun ride like a puppy when he saw Aegon but instead he had to go through that excruciating pain 💔

At least Cersei was a good mother and loved her children. As Tyrion put it, it was her “one redeeming quality”.
She gave Aegon very good advice but he never listened , also , she told him last season that Aemond is his brother and he should never tease him . Alicient lost control of her children and that partially her fault and their fathor viserys who did not give a damn about them , all he cared about was Rhaenyra and her bastard strong sons

Samwell died in the last episode at the burning mill, this is an original character, his younger brother Willem, acting as regent for Samwell's son and the current Lord, Benjicot
Samwell doesn't exist, he's apparently called William and the guy that we thought was bloody Ben was actually Davos (just some random blackwood lol)
Yeah the scene with Aegon and Alicent pretty much confirmed in my mind that she was pretty much always a terrible mother, like Otto did to her, she maneuvered and used Aegon to be the heir for most of his life, filling his mind with poisonous and paranoia filled thoughts, but doing nothing to make sure he was a competent ruler, because ultimately neither her nor Otto wanted Aegon to be a competent ruler who could stand on his own two feet, they wanted him to be weak and impressionable, so that they could both control things, and so she continues their family's toxic cycle. She even tells Aegon he should be 'grateful' for her machinations, the same way Otto told her that she should be grateful for his, as it made her queen. Forgetting the fact that him on the throne was ever her desire, Aegon wanted to run away and flee from the throne. She is just as manipulative and cold as Otto was to her.
Yes she may have had a slight change of heart at Viserys' last feast, but a lifetime of resentment, anger, and hate is not so easily erased by one moving speech, and ultimately she heard what she wanted to hear on Viserys' death bed.
I don't know if Alicent was always like this as a mother, but like his child just died and from her its nothing but contempt.
