Thank you for a wonderful podcast. I too purchased the Alma cardigan kit from Louie and Lola I didn’t realise it was steeked either so it will be my first time. I loved seeing all about your trip to Bendigo with all your lovely purchases, I went last year and I’m hoping to go next year..💕💕💕💕
Thank you for such a lovely episode🥰 Love your Bubbles shawl - I did the Starflake shawl in the knitalong and loved every stitch of it🥰 Such a lovely yarn haul from Bendigo and beautiful knitting plans.
Another great episode Kath 🎉🎉 How great was the show this year - didn’t disappoint. I’m knitting a Felix cardigan as I’m watching you using BWM 12 ply in burnt orange. Friends are amazing for helping you see yarn that you’ve walked past 🧶🧶
❤❤enjoyed that so much ,kath!!!🎉/ Love ur shawl,,,, And ur new shawl,,,, A fun exciting time away ,,, Just watched Ally snd her new yarns,, 😍lovely yarns Elaine ❤️🏠
Love your bubbles and brioche shawl. The iChord bindoff looks amazing. Starflake was my first SW mystery. Confess to doing the garter option as at that stage I hadn’t learnt brioche. Love your Bendigo purchases. I am making the pressed flowers cardigan in fingering possum and it is a joy to knit. You must have been Ally’s twin in an earlier life 😂. Pink and more pink. Suits you both well. Bombed Yarns is in Tasmania. Looking forward to your new cast one 😊
Absolutely loved this podcast from start to finish. I’ve saved all the sellers you mentioned from Bendigo wool show, fingers crossed I get to go next year. Thank you so much for sharing…….love all the pink 🌸🌸🌸💕
Love your bubbles and brioche shawl! I agree, that stripe icord bind off works up fast! Looks like the Starflake shawl has a striped icord bind off too! 😉
Hi Kath. I have been binge watching all of your episodes the past 2 weeks whilst knitting and have thoroughly enjoyed all of your wonderful making. You were recommended by Ally @ FibreBound who I have been watching for a couple of years now. How did I not know there were so many great Australian knitting podcasts here to watch? I love hearing about all of the wonderful fibre and notions makers at the Bendigo show. I think a visit to it one day is now on my bucket list. Happy knitting and thanks again for such great podcasts.
Thank you so much for checking my podcast out and for watching 🥰 I’m so grateful ❤️💗 I would absolutely recommend visiting the Bendigo show one day, it’s a lot of fun!
Finally caught up on this episode and loved seeing all your treasures! Wish I had known you when I visited Melbourne last year as I would have loved to meet up for a coffee, chat and of course, knit!
Your EUN sweater is fabulous, Kath! I adore that colour you chose and it must be sooo soft. And how fun is your Stephen West shawl?! you make me feel like I need to cast on one too, right now. Loved seeing your purchases again. I had missed few and I must say you have the best taste 🌈😜 that fluff from Colagirl Collective...wow! I am just glad that you are such a quick knitter and I will see all these things on the needles very soon. THanks for showing my little handiwork and all our group photos. It was so special to spend the weekend with you and the other ladies and share such amazing memories xxxxx
Thanks Dany 🥰😘❤️ I had the absolute best time with you all and am so pleased to call you all real life friends now ☺️ I love knitting Mr West’s shawls so will always encourage and enable others to cast them on too 😉🤣
Another lovely episode. Those pink storm trooper earrings are so cool and it sounds like you had an amazing time at the sheep show. I’m looking forward to seeing your Alma Cardigan over the coming months. I have picked up the 24 birds MKAL again and I’m almost done with clue 4.
I can’t wait for the Brisbane socks! The chevrons look amazing (particularly down the back). Helps that Brisbane is also a very sentimental place for me - the years I worked there were some of the best of my life. I’ll definitely be making a few of these ones.
How fun was that! And I totally agree with you regarding supporting local sellers. I think if one is going to go to a yarn show, then you save some quantities of pennies to spread around when you're there. You don't go to a show telling yourself to resist (I don't think any of actually 'need' more stash). You go for the fun and support of sellers, where you can get up close and squish all the yarns - and friends.
I found your podcast through Lori and Justine of Skein Scoop podcast and am so happy I did. Love your style of podcasting and how you explain things. Yes, I do color coding too or same type of marker for the raglans! Looking forward to following your journey here. xx
Not even commenting how beautiful is your haul from Bendigo! But the highlight is finished shawl and the Starflake that I will be casting on as well :)))
Love your marker idea. I usually have sleeves the same colour and body the same colour, relying on my EOR marker to remind me what’s front & back. I think I’ll refine my method to copy you in future, thanks. Recently made your Canberra Socks, my first DK weight socks. I made the legs long and a little loose. I used BWM Sock in French Macaron held with Lana Gatto Silk Mohair. I now have a pair of fluffy cloud socks that are incredibly warm and look great with my black combat boots. Perfect for Winter in Ballarat.
Wow, I love looking at and hearing about Australian yarns and dyers! I've only been to one Fibre fest and that was the NSW Knitters Guild at fest at Wyong last year. I'm so looking forward to going this year, being so much more informed than I was then. Grumpy Ginger is a reasonably local to me LYS, and I've bought some lovely stuff from Alisha. Yet to try her Great Southern Yarns. Thanks for a great episode - Jen xx
I can’t believe how much you’ve done on your Snowflake shawl! It’s looking great, I used barbie pink, black and white on my SW mystery shawl last year and I love it. Your bobbles and brioche shawl looks amazing ❤
The colour system is great. I will lock that tip away for next time! Can’t wait for the Brisbane socks! If you ever make a pattern for Sydney socks id love to test them (so patriotic 😂… ❤)
I love any kind of system 🥰🤣 and so happy that you like the look of the Brisbane socks. I do have a pattern in mind for Sydney. If you send me a DM on Instagram I’ll add you to my list for testing them 😉😘
Thankyou for sharing, missed out this year but I plan on going next year, enjoyed experiencing it vicariously through you 🙂. I always use a blue marker for the beginning of round, and knitting the EXP sweater Susana interestingly recommends different colour markers for different spots (arm back etc), which are written into her pattern - so helpful!
Hello 🥰 yep I’m wearing the Felix Cardigan by Amy Christoffers that I knit up in Rowan Tweed Haze. Details are in the description box including a link to my project page if that helps ☺️💗
interesting about your colour coding system, i hadn't thought to do paired markers like that. if I need to remember right and left I do red or green for right because they both have an R in them, and blue or lilac for left because they both have an L in them. I also find that sometimes I want my stitch marker to indicate the beginning of a section (eg start of gusset decreases), but sometimes I want to mark the end of a section (eg every 10th round on my sock) so I use metallic markers lightbulb for the beginning of something and the matte coloured ones for the end of something.
I do a similar thing for my raglan markers - but I use green for before and after the right sleeve, and red for the left sleeve. From red for port (“there’s no red port left”) and green for starboard. I hated that game as a kid but it obviously stuck!! 🤓 Then I can always work out which way it’s oriented. And I generally add a dangly marker for BOR.
Just found your TH-cam channel and loved every minute of it. I to live in Melbourne and it has been freezing here
Thank you! Yes it was freezing today! 🥶
Wow Kath, so looking forward to seeing what you make with your purchases, I will be going to Bendigo fibre festival next year for sure. I just live 10min away from leahcim, so I must take a visit soon, cheers for you lovely video

I love going to the festivals and learning more and more about all the yarn and dyers and producers. Thanks for watching 🥰
Another ep where you are wearing what I’m sitting knitting on! I’m doing my Felix cardigan neck band!
🤣🤣Great minds think alike 😉
The Brisbane socks would look fantastic with a skein of yarn my daughter bought at Fibre Feast in March. We look forward to the pattern release.
Oh yay! I’m so glad you like them 😊💕
I can’t believe how much you’ve done on your Snowflake shawl! It’s looking great, I used barbie pink, black and white on my SW mystery shawl last year and I love it. Your bobbles and brioche shawl looks amazing ❤
Thank you 🥰 yes, I suspect I will slow down on the Starflake once I hit the brioche 👍🏻

I met you ever so briefly at Bendigo. I’ve followed you for a while on IG …. and now here.
Hello! Oh I’m so glad you did - it’s so lovely to make connections with other local knitters 🥰💗
Have you told us more about the cardigan you are wearing? Sorry if I missed it, but it’s fabulous!
Hello 🥰 yep I’m wearing the Felix Cardigan by Amy Christoffers that I knit up in Rowan Tweed Haze. Details are in the description box including a link to my project page if that helps ☺️💗

Hello from Swansea, Illinois.
Hi 👋🏻🥰
