Just got back from a very long Day 1 of an Art Market and collapsed on the couch - this video made my day! I love hedgehogs, and you always make me smile anyway. Thank you!
Your laid back, Earth child vibe has been a joy to watch ! I’ve been going through some stressful things and I always feel a respite watching your videos. From the bottom of my heart thank you! Keep making hedgehogs they’re awesome!
Hi Tif! The hedgehogs are so stinkin' cute! Thanks for sharing. I get ideas while I'm working too, and if I don't stop and write them down I have trouble remembering later. That's where the video helps. 🙂
Pottery is a contemplative art. It's refreshing seeing someone, who isn't wrestling 25 pounds of clay, to make a big, horrid pot of little artistic value in a 60 second video. She obviously enjoys the journey of making one of a kind, pottery.
Great tutorial. The marbled hedgehog is so cute. They are all cute. I would love to see a tutorial on the owl banks as well. I love your work and the tutorials are so helpful.
I would love to see the owls and the pigs. These are adorable! ❤One question - rather than attaching ears, have you considered using a knife and doing a slight snip with scissors on the actual form?
I was just thinking too, and I hope you don't mind me saying my two cents worth, if you add 'pottery' into your titles (Ie Pottery Hedgehogs penny banks and garden deco) you will end up with more people as a lot of people just search up pottery for inspiration and your videos are so well done people will subscribe after watching one 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜 May the Kiln Gods be kind 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I enjoy your channel so much because you’ve taught me SOOOOO much!!!! You’re so down to earth and relatable. Thank you for your inspiration. The only thing I want to ask you is how you price your items and how and where do you sell them? God bless
Pricing is sooo hard. So many things go into it. I start these guys at 35. I sell at a local coffee shop and have 2 sales a year at the studio, plus a few favorite markets during the year. I'm lucky enough to have a big customer base that I've nurtured over the years. And if I have any pots left, I might do an Etsy restock. I hope that helps.
How do you keep track of your clays by low or mid? I end up using light or buff and often get confused. I have tried keeping separate buckets for scrap but doesn't always work. I also have some reclaim that dried out from many years ago!
Don't know if this will help but I have separate buckets for slip with names on them I put masking tape on the drying bats with the name of the clay if they are different firing temps and I basically know what each looks like fired
With all do respect, I don’t have a wheel, so my question is couldn’t this be hand built some how? Crudely built of course? Maybe even the birdhouse/fairy house design? Maybe not as perfect as wheel thrown of course. Whaddaya think? I’m just wondering, watching the videos. I’m just a beginner and my mind races.. thanks, I love everything you do!
I don't have a video on handbuilding them, but you could do them by putting two pinch pots together to make a closed form and then follow everything I do from this video.
Love these!! Thx so much for sharing your wonderful work!
Thank you!!! You made my day HAPPY with your FUN hedgehogs!!!🤣💓
Just love the owl banks!!!

They are adorable!
So cute I’ve made tiny ones for pots but now on to a big one. Thanks
Hi. These piggy banks are gorgeous 😍 I think I'd have to hand build. My throwing skills are practically non-existent. I'll have to practice.
Practice is play with pottery. 😀
Great tutorial. The marbled hedgehog is so cute. They are all cute. I would love to see a tutorial on the owl banks as well. I love your work and the tutorials are so helpful.
Thank you so much. Yes, owls are now on the list to show. 😀
@@hobblecreekpottery I'm looking forward to it. 🙂
I want one!!!
Lol, you get first pick, but now you know how to make them too. 😀
Such fun!! Please please show us us how you make an owl. ❤
You got it!

Great tip! Thank you. When it comes to the tech side of doing this, I need help. Tech, computers, etc are not my strengths, lol. Thank you.

All my clay is the same cone fire. And I have two reclaims, one is a mix of everything, the other is just bmix.
Don't know if this will help but I have separate buckets for slip with names on them I put masking tape on the drying bats with the name of the clay if they are different firing temps and I basically know what each looks like fired
Love these! What do you sell them for?
I sell them for $35. Thanks for watching.
Did I miss how to handbuild these little guys?
With all do respect, I don’t have a wheel, so my question is couldn’t this be hand built some how? Crudely built of course? Maybe even the birdhouse/fairy house design? Maybe not as perfect as wheel thrown of course. Whaddaya think? I’m just wondering, watching the videos. I’m just a beginner and my mind races.. thanks, I love everything you do!
Yes, they can be hand-built. If do them with pinchpots. Put two pinchpots together to make a closed form and you'll good to go.
@@hobblecreekpottery thanks for replying so quick! Love you!!!
@Deborah Aguirre good luck and most importantly, have fun.
@@hobblecreekpottery what about the nose? How would you do that handbuilt. Just sculpt it and attach?
@@heidicash5897 Yes, exactly that.
How do I buy one?
Only art history should have a syllabus. I can’t throw ( physical issue) but I love to slab
Agree!
Looking for your hand built hedgehogs . How do I find the video, tks Jennifer from Downunder
I don't have a video on handbuilding them, but you could do them by putting two pinch pots together to make a closed form and then follow everything I do from this video.
@@hobblecreekpottery thank you, I’ll try doing them with the pinch pot 💕
@@jenniferlee330 good luck!
Sheep?

@samanthanicholson9015 I have but I don't think I have a video on them yet.
