I remember trying something like this. The end with two Gameboys basically just makes both of them talk at once, and the one at the other end of the cable hears the jumble of data from both at once and tries to make sense of it. Meanwhile the two at the other end should both see a sane Pokemon trade happening, but both are sending a different Pokemon in exchange for that Raticate. At the end of it, two games should have clones of the same Raticate and no glitches at all, and the other end got glitches because it got a mashup of those 2 Pokemon.
