JLo is marketing herself as a Kardashian, and people are reacting to it accordingly, also her contributions to entertainment are undeniable, but she wants to compare herself with the biggest icons in music and movies, and her ARTISTIC VALUE is being questioned. Entertainers are a dime a dozen, but artists who uplift and move your soul are more rare, and even if they have a Diva attitude at least they have their unquestionable talent to back it up. I wish i could say everything going on will serve as a reality check or a wake up call for her, but i highly doubt it.
Very well said! She's not an artist, she's a manufactured parrot. She's good looking and has good stage presence, but with her songs you always get the sense that she's doing her acting thing by getting into character with someone else's material. Even the writing and hooks on her latest album are so unoriginal and insincere, with This is Me Now you can just see her team sitting around a table writing it for her but with someone else in mind like Ariana Grande. And when she uses her own voice, it ruins the whole performance but up until now people looked the other way because she'd be swallowed up by an amazing dress or dancing half naked with her butt hanging out.
