I mostly don't listen to other genres outside of hip-hop and pop so I don't know much about his rock music but I have heard that he got awards for some of his rock songs. I listened to Hotel Diablo and it was good but I felt it didn't as much traction as it deserved and I'm guessing it's due to reputation he's garenerd in the hip-hop community in the general sense.
