He hasn't changed... He's been doing alot of different music for nearly a decade now... He has probably over a dozen different rock songs, even more rap-rock songs, pop songs rap songs... Hell the only genre he hasn't done is country
Yeah this isn't exactly new for him, just more blown up now that people know him more. He's always been doing stuff like this. These are the kind of songs he grew up on, hell we all grew up on and songs like these aren't particularly prominent in this era. This is an era of nostalgia so he's just capitalizing on his utilization of skills he already possessed and is allowing himself to make more the music that makes him happy. His lyrics on "Smoke and Drive" point this out "I heard them say they doing first, I've been doing this shit for the 8th time" he's been at this for years. If you go through his TH-cam you'll find everything he's done and see how long he's been at it for yourself. It's all worth it, I promise
The real girl that the movie was based upon was one grade ahead of me at my high school. She was murdered in a forest not far from my friend's house where we used to explore. I went and visited her grave a few years back. Her name was Elyse Pahler. I knew a couple of her murderers as well. I believe they are serving life without parole in California prisons. He hasn't changed... He's been doing alot of different music for nearly a decade now... He has probably over a dozen different rock songs, even more rap-rock songs, pop songs rap songs... Hell the only genre he hasn't done is country
Yeah this isn't exactly new for him, just more blown up now that people know him more. He's always been doing stuff like this. These are the kind of songs he grew up on, hell we all grew up on and songs like these aren't particularly prominent in this era. This is an era of nostalgia so he's just capitalizing on his utilization of skills he already possessed and is allowing himself to make more the music that makes him happy. His lyrics on "Smoke and Drive" point this out "I heard them say they doing first, I've been doing this shit for the 8th time" he's been at this for years. If you go through his TH-cam you'll find everything he's done and see how long he's been at it for yourself. It's all worth it, I promise

The real girl that the movie was based upon was one grade ahead of me at my high school. She was murdered in a forest not far from my friend's house where we used to explore. I went and visited her grave a few years back. Her name was Elyse Pahler. I knew a couple of her murderers as well. I believe they are serving life without parole in California prisons.
Edit: I just looked it up and her murders actually only got 25 years to life. That means they will be up for parole VERY SOON because Elyse was murdered in 1995 and they were charged in 1996.
