15:30 "Have there been any stories set in super school from teacher's perspective?" Actually, yes! First one that comes to my mind is a Korean manga series called "Academy's Undercover Professor". It's pretty fantastic. Basically a transmigrator super spy ends up as a teacher by complete accident. It's very funny and a good story too.
I've read this one it's pretty good. I've read a couple of things in that sort of genre, but that one is one of the best. Best Teacher Baek is an example of this in the Murim genre. Those are the ones I've read that include "super schools", but I know lots more that take place in just regular-schmegular schools.
Well technically there are straight up duel tournaments that has I imagine cash cups so technically a dueling isn't entirely useless but even with that its still less useful
lol I would give GX a pass, its both a special school so kids are *choosing* to go here, its better to treat it like the trade school it is. Also it can NOT be said enough how much this game has taken over all of society by the time of GX, not even getting into things like I assume they do have normal classes too since this whole thing is funded by Kaiba. *he* wouldn't overlook the need for a writing class too. A fun video honestly for you to look at sometime, would be Mother Basement's video looking at the worldbuilding of YGO overall, "The Wacky Worldbuilding of Early Yu-Gi-Oh!". Because yeah if you step back the worldbuilding we ended up with is WILD for the whole series really.
Yeah, such a crazy trope for sure but relatable to some extent. I was home-schooled (don't hold that against my parents, they tried) so I didn't have the exact same experience but still basically understand it. Well played.
I think it is kinde of fun that she uses "The Owl House" as examples of super school, as that was a show that Disney forced in to being a super school show. But then again the Prom episode is seen as one of the biggest step forward in LGBTQ representation in children shows.
Dinosaur and car? Oh, yeah. Yugioh GX took a field trip to Domino City, to explore the nooks and crannies of Yugi's hometown. Somehow, a sister of an antagonist trapped them in the virtual world. Hassleberry was shoved into a dinosaur avatar and Cyrus was forced to be a sentient car, that wore glasses over his headlights. Meanwhile, Jaden and Aster had to duel the lady who had virtually cloned herself in order to pass the test to say, "We can defeat the Light of Destruction that's possessing Sartorius!" "Neo-Spacian Black Panther, copy the form of her Dark Creator!" "Meet my brand new Elemental Hero Dark Neos!" Yeah, that spin-off was a trip and a half. People keep thinking LittleKuriboh wrote the dialogue, even though it released long before he published his first abridged parody episode.

I'll have to look it up!
