I wear my hair in shimedium sized twist 2-3 weeks out the month and refreshing/retwist weekly and my hair has grown so much. MOISTURIZED Protective styling is a must !!
This video is so on point. I've been doing the same routine, including only wearing my hair out for special outings, for years now and my hair definitely grows at a rapid pace. In addition to the consistency with the routine, I rock cute scarves to compliment my outfits as a way to get away with wearing my hair out. With the length and thickness, tucking my hair away is best during the winter months.

That sounds dope!...But real talk...I am a darker skinned Afro-caribbean/African-American woman with 3C hair texture and...A healthy diet, clean and holy living , Unrefined Coconut Oil and AVEDA hair care products work well to achieve my natural, waist long 3C type hair...My hair is the length of my waist...After my big chop... It took 3 1/2-years from scalp short to waist long...Without weaves, wigs or extensions...100-percent naturally grown...Please know that everyone's hair grows between 4 to 6 inches a year regardless of ethnicity or texture...I agree with you that good, regular maintenance is crucial! For pre poo I use pure Aloe Vera gel or pure Aloe Juice Vera...For daily moisturizing I spray with water and smooth in unrefined coconut oil or unrefined olive oil mixed with unrefined sesame oil and specific essential oils...or... On high humidity days I use AVEDA Humectant Pomade for daily moisturizing, instead of oils because it is oil free and the Humectant draws moisture out of the air into my hair...Leave in conditioner, I use Aveda Nutriplenish Leave In Conditioner because it has a sunscreen to prevent sun damage...I wear my hair in a bun on a daily basis, too...For Shampoo I like Aveda Shampure or Aveda Brilliant or Alaffia's Every Day Coconut Shampoo (Alaffia's shampoo is not as good as Aveda but it is a decent, budget friendly shampoo)...For Hot Oil Treatments I use Unrefined coconut oil mixed with Unrefined Avocado Oil...For Reconstructor Conditioner Treatment, every 6 weeks Affirm 5 and 1 Reconstructor...The deep conditioner helps strengthen hair and maintain length...And a trim the ends as needed 😀
I loved this video!! Having a routine is key to healthy hair growth. Since I big chopped my hair, I’m back to my healthy hair journey and I definitely want to start doing twist outs again.
I did the big chop mid-2020 and this is basically what I did and my hair has all grown back beautifully. When I had twists in, I would just put on a turban around the house and pin them up with a hat when I would leave unless it was a VERY special occasion lol. Thanks for reminding me I’m on the right track. Your hair is goals.
I done my 2nd big chop in November 2020. I've changed up my routine a lot and really learnt what makes my hair thrive. I wash my hair every 2 weeks, shampoo, apply Rhassoul Clay then deep condition with heat, apply a leave in then dry my hair with heat so it's 80%-90% dry add hair grease then twist. Next morning I apply gel neat and leave it to dry. During the week/s I'll rotate products gel, leave in or hair grease depending on what my hair feels like. I never apply water now until I wash my hair again. My hair is always hydrated, soft with no tangles (not even single strand knots) or breakage. My hair has grown so much in a year and long may it continue.

Beautiful! My routine is practically the same as yours! Weekly washing, prepooing with deep conditioner, and wearing twists and braids throughout the week. It is a game changer, indeed! Especially with me having 5 kids who ALSO have a ton of hair! lol

Those are also my favorite shampoo and leave in conditioner, and I also put my hair in braids 75% of the time and if I want it out or the braids get ratty I take it out and wear it as a braid out. My hair is short so I do 2 French braids and it looks cute and kinky down. Similarities! ❤

I'd love to have super long amazing hair like you but I just can't keep from cutting it short over and over because it just feels SO DAMN GOOD when the hair is short. It's smoother because the hair isn't as old, tangles less, and is faster to style. And can be so cute!! I get a lot more compliments with a very short cut than I do with the medium hair I have had. I ❤ it. I wish I could have long hair when I wanted and short hair when I wanted lol. Can't have both I suppose. Your hair is amazing!
I agree. My hair is about to my shoulders in my pic, but I couldn’t stand it for longer than a few months. I have to keep mine cut up off the back of my neck, or it drives me insane! I thought it was just me. Ppl are always telling me to let my hair grow back out, how pretty it was, blah blah. But I’m the one who has to deal with it, and I prefer the look and feel of very short hair on my head, lol.

Amber my curl friend, I'm in Europe too, I'm an American living in Germany for the last 3 years, I need your hair line products to come out ASAP! I use the majority of the products you use but the store i go to has them for twice the price that you would buy them in the US. It's ridiculous! I need products that are originally from Europe so that I dont have to pay an arm and a leg for them! Please, please, tell me your launching by the new year or at least in the beginning of 2022.
