    • @TheAgentAaron
      @TheAgentAaron ปีที่แล้ว +2

      So is it ignorance or just complete & blatant dishonesty to act as if the driver of the silver vehicle didn't brake check the blue Ford? Driver of the silver vehicle alleges that he "had to stop because the 18-wheeler was stopping" but at 10:22 one cam easily see that not only had the 18-wheeler cleared the underside of the overpass but he was also in a different lane altogether. Though it was a jackass move and one I disagree with, this can be substantiated by the fact that the blue Ford was able to drive around the silver vehicle and cut back in front and because the silver vehicle was able to quickly accelerate in an attempt to block the blue Ford, resulting in the impact when the blue Ford aggressively changed into the left lane back in front of the silver vehicle. The blue Ford should not have made this aggressive move but let's not blind ourselves to the fact that the driver of the silver vehicle did in fact, brake check the blue Ford - unnecessarily as it is clear that at 10:22 there is nothing the silver vehicle needed to come to a screeching halt for - and then the driver of the silver vehicle proceeds to feed a lie to the LEO about what he did which he described as a need to stop because of the 18-wheeler which clearly was much further ahead and in an entirely different lane, aka "brake check".
      How ignorant of the silver vehicle's driver to act as though his actions had no role in this matter. A complete abdication of responsibility that actions have consequences. He's not a victim, he contributed to this problem. Had he just kept driving and not brake checked the blue Ford this would not have happened. Do I like it when people get up close behind me? Nope. Do I brake check them at an intersection? Nope. But I'm intelligent enough to know that if I brake check someone unnecessarily and then attempt to block their attempt to overtake me and get around, if I recklessky accelerate to block them, I may well get hit by their hasty actions. And I would bear responsibility in the matter.
      I can say with complete honesty thatcI stand with LEO at a near 100% rate but in this case, the officer either missed something or chose to be dishonest. Further, the silver vehicle lied to the LEO and played victim when he contributed to this outcome 100% Actions have consequences and the silver vehicle's driver chose to play ignorant. To conclude it all, the blue Ford's driver was convicted for making an aggressive lane change resulting in this accident.
      Isn't it a strange thing though that the silver vehicle was able to accelerate (aggressively I would assume) to block the blue Ford when he had just reported having to quickly stop for an 18-wheeler that wasn't even in his lane to begin with?
      This is a conviction that should be reviewed and a percentage of fault placed on the driver of the silver vehicle. Brake checked are unnecessary, aggressive, reckless and should be illegal. Driver of the silver vehicle is no victim- ge participated in this outcome with his own irresponsible actions. A finding that I have never once come to until this particular case.
      Both driver's are at fault and contributed to this accident. Had the driver of the silver vehicle let go of his ego and let the blue Ford pass, this never would have happened.

      @@TheAgentAaron the cam driver was completely in the wrong here. Semi’s take two lanes to turn. If you drive you would know this. Safety comes first. As a driver, my safety is first. If I see I am able to slow down and stop to make sure a semi has its clearance then I will. The gap between the two cars was clear. No break check happened. The speeding up you here is the engine engine revving. It’s not the driver speeding up so the truck driver who cut him off was completely in the wrong he could’ve easily just let that go and kept it moving. He didn’t have to do what he did. That’s why he was cited and he also could’ve been sent to jail because of what he did his dash cam clearly shows that there was a space he had a gap between him and the car. The semi had a gap between the car and the semi but as you saw from the video the semi went into the lead a little bit to term because that’s what they do 18 wheelers need two lanes to turn. If you want to be a front and get your car smashed by all means, go ahead no one‘s gonna stop you, but you have to be smart about it. If you drive, you can clearly see clearly know that safety comes first your safety comes first my safety comes first don’t just stop in Europe or keep going just because you’re in the lane and you see the sunrise in Alain when it comes to turning you move over semi has the right away not you

      @@ChristmasDiamond There truly is no shortage or idiocy in this world. You are a complete moron. It is evident you have no experience with insurance accident investigations. Please spare me the obvious, slow your video down and watch it frame for frame. You will clearly see that each assertion I made aligns with the video and refutes the driver of the silver vehicle. I am not excusing the hasty actions by the driver of the blue Ford. But I am stating that the driver of the silver vehicle did unnecessarily brake check the Ford at which point the Ford accelerates around and maneuvers hastily back in front of the silver vehicle. Note the 18-wheeler is well ahead of both vehicles in this case. I am well aware that 18-wheelers turn wide and consume 2 lanes but that is not where our problem is. That was well in advance of our case here. And you wi see also that, as I noted at 10:22, there is LITERALLY nothing in front of the silver vehicle demanding a sudden stop - nothing. The 18-wheeler for all intents & purposes has absolutely nothing to do with this other than the brief slow back experienced by other drivers while turning wide. Our two case vehicles are on the onside left turn lane and the 18-wheeler is on the outside right turn lane as evidenced at 10:22.

If he's a real professional, he should be constantly looking and not taking it for granted that there is no one there. Thank you for posting these videos. You know what? No one thinks of slowing down. Here in MA, you must be in control of your car at all times. We all need to drive defensively so when that person pulls out unexpectedly, you have the ability to stop, even it it is THEIR fault. People don't care. They will fight the merge until one car wins at the cost of both vehicles getting damaged. I appreciate these videos b/c they keep us aware. I'm 50 and have never had an accident that was my fault. I was T-boned in my Volvo by a truck and I was very shaken up. I was unharmed but more importantly, the Volvo wasn't totaled. I was on my way for a post-op from a previous cancer surgery and I didn't have the ability to speak. The cops were no help. In a panic I dialed 411 (Directory Assistance) instead of 911. The truck driver was cited and somehow claimed it was my fault, but he ran through a red light, and I had many witnesses. Drive safe everyone!

This definitely could have been avoided if West just got out of the way and went on with their day. I have never thought to sideswipe someone just because they are in the process of cutting me off. instead of insurance the law should be that everyone has to have a dashcam in their car at all times that gets uploaded to the government server every week. they then review the footage and bad drivers get banned from driving forcing them to use ubers, taxi, public transport, bikes, or walk. it would make the need for insurance go away almost entirely and stop most accidents on the roads. they basically use points to determine how bad of a driver you are with everyone starting with 100 points and depending on how bad you are points are deducted. of course things like drunk driving or using your phone while driving is instantly -100.
      of course this may take a great deal of old people and women off the road which may lead to a cry of discrimination saying they are having their rights removed but we have the footage karen of you being dangerous on the road so just sit down on your bus seat and relax.

    23:13 you can clearly see the blue truck break checking the box truck. Box truck attempted to avoid the collision, but lost control. In camera angle one, the tail lights quite clearly light up and the blue truck's speed noticeably decreases. You can tell especially by comparing the truck's speed relative to the speed of traffic as he increases the gap and traffic starts to pass him at a faster speed than before. Blue truck is at fault, not the box truck.
    Edit: 23:14 you can see his break lights turn back off after performing this break check.

    I was t-boned by some lady in Mansfield, Ohio, who ran a red light while speeding. An off duty firefighter witnessed it and gave aide to my (then) 8 year old who had a concussion. Totaled my car. But the driver of that vehicle wasn't the owner. And even though they BOTH had insurance, the insurance argued over which one had to pay. They BOTH denied the claim so MY insurance picked it up. All they covered was the gap insurance, and hospital bill. I paid $1,400 out of pocket for a rental, lost the 2 year old car, and had to buy a new crappy car. All in all, that accident cost me about 35k. I was told I could sue them in civil court, but only for up to 5k. It was a nightmare!! My insurance also went up. Every lawyer I called said they weren't interested, bc the injuries we had weren't severe enough. So I'm happy to see that most of these had a better outcome for the most part!

      Honestly, it's my least favorite part of accidents like that.
      The turning driver is assuming (wrongly so) that the cammer is going to slow with the yellow (as they should), but instead cammer decides to run a red and cause an accident.
      But since turning driver was supposed to be watching, they get all the blame.
      It's almost like it could've been avoided by the cammer, yaknow, slowing for a yellow

    It's amazing that people think that turning on a turn signal gives them the right to merge into traffic and expect traffic to just open up and accommodate them. Nobody ever taught them what a yield sign means. I had a guy nearly run under my 53ft trailer near Jacksonville BC he expected me to slow down and make room for him.

  • @kietero
    @kietero ปีที่แล้ว +2

    @Mark Hawkins, who do I think is at fault? YOU! You have the red light. It's YOUR responsibility you are 100% in the safe and clear before making your turn on red. It doesn't matter if the other dude was speeding or not, you made an illegal turn (turning on red without confirming safety, and turning on red impeding traffic). They get the ticket for speeding if they were, and YOU get to pay their repair bill. Pretty solid, open-and-shut case iyam, and you did.

    1:01:31 The repetition and assertive (dare I say aggressive) way she is talking to the person recording is manipulative. That's someone trying to alter the other person's memory of the event, preying on any weakness that they have exhibited.
    I've seen this type of argument style in toxic relationships and unless you're used to dealing with someone like this, they're going to strong-arm your mind and attempt to dominate the conversation for their benefit.
    And if you engage or retort to their demands, they'll turn up the energy to make you uncomfortable and even yell or fight with you. Best to remain calm, quietly deny or don't acknowledge their demands, and wait for a third-party to arrive to assist in getting both sides to the story. Also, a dash cam would really help in such a situation so that it can show exactly what happened.

      You can tell that the assertive woman was in the wrong but thinks because 9/10 her pushy ways gets people to comply with her demands she is right . I bet she was trying to pass that girl at the stop sign instead of waiting a second like any normal driver would do and when the girl moved forward she no longer had the room to make her turn and hit that girls car trying to bully her way into a lane that wasn't hers. I personally would tell her I wasn't paying a dime and that she better have good insurance. I like busting peoples bubbles like that because it pisses them off when they dont get their way. Backing down from these people just gives them a feeling of power which they dont deserve.

    • @Hexnilium

      @@occif2023 Right, you cannot give someone like this an inch in the argument. They'll take advantage as soon as they see an opening.
      I would have said that I'm not paying anything. It would be the insurance company paying her insurance company which would pay her for the repairs, so let's exchange insurance information. And so that would precipitate exchanging information which might result in finding out she doesn't have any.

    • @Dragnmastralex
      @Dragnmastralex ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@sashas975x look how the vehicles are and the positioning of them you can tell that the black woman tried to cut off the girl crying at the stop sign because her car is angled and was struck on the passenger side door. if it was the back of the black woman's car I would say it was the crying girl that hit her in the rear but in this case I think the black woman meant to turn right at the stop sign and merged over into the crying girl. I've seen enough of these videos to know that's gotta be what happened. The only way the girl crying could be at fault is if the black woman angled her car at the stop sign an was sitting there and the crying girl plowed into the angled car while it was stopped in which case the black woman would still be at fault for being sideways at a stop sign in both lanes.
